I just want to give a shout out to Bushs chicken! I was not feeling well Thursday night and my comfort food is their baked chicken. I ordered through doordash and Bushs called me a few minutes later. The lady on the phone informed me they didnt have baked chicken ready so gave me the option ot wait or substitute or refund. I let her know I was happy to wait. She updated my delivery time and my food arrived fresh and hot a little while later. I wish I had gotten her name because most places would just cancel on you or give you whatever but I really appreciated this service especially while I was sick!

What a waste of time! We sat outside in a line with one can in front of us. 10 minutes later, a kid asked what we wanted. He said we had to wait 15 minutes for chicken. Poor management, obviously. I like Bushs Chicken, but so disappointed with this location. I will not be back.

Came by this evening and waited 10 minutes in the drive thru before the first 2 cars ahead of me left. Once they left it took 6 minutes before someone even acknowledged us. There were no customers in the restaurant so it wasn t busy. Once they took our order it took 25 minutes before we received it. I expected nice fresh chicken since we had to wait. Once I got home everything was old, cold and nasty. Won t ever go back. $53 for 10 piece meal with gizzards definitely not worth it.

Sat in the drive thru for over 20 minutes before being helped. Several cars who got there after me were served first. Very understaffed and one of the employees was yelling at people who rightfully felt they were waiting too long. Tea is good but you might have to wait for it with unprofessional service.

Nightvof 5/29/24. Said 10 minutes to cook the liver and gizzards I ordered. 25 minutes later my food come out. I get homeconly to find out my 8 piece of each supposedly is 2 livers and 14 gizzards. Super old setting. COMPLETELY NASTY! There were dead roaches AND LIVE ROACHES crawling around. The tables were not clean, there were dead flies on the booth seats. The table that looked the cleanest had crumbs and whoever ate there or tried to clean it left their long hair on the table. Which Im guessing would be the cashier cuz she had super long hair and nobody seemed to be wearing hair nets. Bushs Chicken has come far from their initial opening in New Braunfels. They are no longer worth my own or my families time to eat at. I now question if what you spent was a fair deal. The lobby experience is awful, especially with a family! The tenders are the size of nuggets almost, and the food and sides are as close to stale as it can before becoming unsellable. Portions have shrunk, and prices have risen. I would recommend going somewhere else.

Sat in the drive thru line waiting for the order to be taken while the girl taking orders laughed and talked to her friends in a car. She finally went and got another worker to take orders and continued to talk to her friends. Don t know her name only that she is short, with wavy brown hair. Looks to be in her teens. OPEN sign is on, its 9:39 and all doors are locked while emoyees are standing around talking inside. If you say youre open with an illuminated open sign, and youve posted your hours both online and on the door, its probably a good idea to go ahead and leave the doors unlocked until said posted time. I ordered 2 liver dinners with no gizzards Mac and cheese fried pie a drink and corn nuggets. I received all gizzards, chicken, mashed potatoes, no drink, no pie, no utensils, no liver. I hate gizzards. I tried to call several times-no answer. The Uber driver dumped the dinner and passed the Buck. They never corrected the order. It was mostly inedible. I only got a partial refund.

the chicken isnt too bad, its so-so at best. The tenders arent too bad, but the BIGGEST problem is the prices!! There ARE NO PRICES LISTED! I paid $38 for a 10 piece meal, 4 rolls and 2 small sides! Got some chicken through the drive through 6/28/23. The chicken was overcooked so bad it was hardly edible. The breasts were unfit to eat because they were so dry and overcooked. We had okra as a side and it had a weird aftertaste probably because of old grease. For $47 it was unacceptable. I won t be back. I also tried to call them on the phone and it was out of service.

Ive been going there since the first day they opened. Im never disappointed. Everything is good. Vegetarian options: They have side orders of veggies. Other than that, I do not know. I am not a vegetarian. Parking: All around the building, there is plenty of parking.. And they offer Stay in your vehicles drive ups and out. They also have outside tables. Kid-friendliness: I can only say my grandkids loved to go there to eat. As far as games, play areas none. But my family just doesnt care. They want to eat. The workers are polite. If I could give zero stars, I would. This is really disgusting finding PHLEGM in a cup of water (I ordered two bottled waters) and received the cups of water. This used to be one of our favorite place but lately it s been disappointing every time we go by while we are in New Braunfels. A few days ago our order was mess up and didn t realize until we got home. We called the place and talk to the manager by the name Angela and she give us her word that the order would be replace and to stop by at our convenience. We did a few days ago and we were disappointed again. A hispanic manager that was on duty that day we went back was very rude and unprofessional in approaching us with bunch of questions and making a big deal out of it. It was just frustrated just talking to him because he refuse to replaced our order or believe us and didn t replace it after all only half of the order anyway. It was very unprofessional of himself as a manager to be rude. We regretted after all going back that day because the chicken had a bad taste that got us very sick and that conviene us not stop going by there again it just not the same no more. Horrible... use to love this place. Last couple of times, tenders were just little pieces of hard crust with very little chicken inside. Gravy was watered down or just thin? Mashed not much better... The reason I gave two stars is not because of the food, it tasted good. What upset me was the fact there are no prices listed on there menu and when I went online I only saw apparently old prices. But to spend $28 on two 4 piece tender meals with the addition on an individual okra and a few extra rolls is terrible. It was myself and my daughter and then my oldest daughters family of 5 which I gave her my coupon for 16 tenders, 2 family sides, family gravy and 4 rolls for $24.99. I got less and spent more. My bff had me craving Bushs Chicken for about a week and a half. I am not from the area, but decided to go here. I made a big mistake. The baked chicken, (or I think it was), was greasy and the majority was all fat. Only thighs and breasts, no drumsticks/legs available ever for baked chicken, and no biscuits, what!? How can you sell chicken without biscuits!? SMH. I personally did not like this chicken. I went to KFC to get my biscuit, but before tasting the food. I should have stuck to what I know and ordered at KFC....bad bff. My rating is for Jacob. Go Jacob!!! He had a smile when he greeted me and throughout our interaction. This was my first purchase at a Bushs Chicken. He explained the menu for me with kindness and patience. I was going to give him a nice tip, but I didnt have any cash on me. I told him I was going to give him this review, (didnt mention the tip). I will go back this weekend and surprise him. Ssshhh!!! It was so windy outside and you could tell he was cold, but that face still had that smile. I hope Bushs Chicken appreciate Jacob. He cares about his customers. I used to like this place just came back from this location. Let me tell you something. I love chicken I ate at chicken express 2 days before eating at bushes chicken. Both places are using cheaper bater or something the crust didn t stay on from either place. I call it covid prices, they fell fir this hole hoax and the world shut down, now everyone that sells food is giving us less for more. This batter is not the same from chicken express or bushes. I also ordered gizzards the ones they gave me seemed about 3 hours to long under the light. Crust wouldn t stay on them either. Hard as a soft rock. I would avoid all fast food chicken places. Once they apologize for stealing from the American people with lame chicken and higher prices fir no reason then I will return. Nasty chicken and gizzards you can see for yourself

Little confused on my experience here tonight. Went a bit after 6pm, waited in line for 15 minutes prior to order being taken. During that time they also took two peoples orders who had arrived after me so i was a bit annoyed. After having my order taken i was informed there was only white meat, i told the order taker thats fine. A couple minutes later the order taker returns and tells me another server took all the white meat and they dont want to make me wait another 15 minutes, he handed me my card and said have a good night. I laughed a bit out of surprise and took the hint they were asking me to leave. Not sure what was going on here or if this is a regular thing but i would have waited as i had already been waiting. Strange experience and will not be going to this location again.

After pulling into lane one some women from lane 2 came to my truck and made the comment didnt I see other people waiting. I said there are 2 lanes. After which she called me a few choice words and complained to the manager. He did not bother to talk to me. Next I see him talking to his servers who then avoided taking my order. I asked to talk to him when he came to my truck. I said I dont know what she said, I asked how many lanes they had? He said 2. I asked why I was being skipped he said he would get to me. I asked for corporate phone and address. He said they dont have a corporate office. I asked for the franchise. I was told to Google it. If this is how senior citizens, military veterans are treated I will not recommend Bushs to anyone.

Great place to grab a quick bite to eat the buffalo fries are the best. Their sweet tea is definitely in the top 5 around sitting around #2. You cant go wrong with anything from here so get in your car and go get you some!

Got there around 7pm It must have been too late because the chicken was like its sitting all day. Bushs has been the best but it fell short this last time. Disappointing to say the least! Been eating bushs for four years and this last time it rank a 2 out of 10. Just because we cant come in to see and order shouldnt make a difference but it did this last time. You can do better!
