Pros: nice atmosphere with plenty of places to sit. As a cigar smoker, I like that they have a cigar smoking area. The west coast IPA is the best I ve had anywhere in Texas. Pliny the elder sign on the wall makes me think the owner/brewer appreciates a good west coast IPA. Cons: first, they wouldn t let me sample beers before getting a pint. I m a brewery owner (on the other side of the country), and I know the margins on draft pints served at breweries is typically 85-95%. It costs you (literally) a couple pennies to let a customer try a sample. I can t understand why you don t want customers to try your beer. Second, mosquitoes everywhere outside and flies everywhere inside. More due diligence on the pest management plan is needed. Third, the overall prices for pints and food were a somewhat high. Overall, I had higher expectations since it had excellent reviews. Didn t meet the mark in my opinion.

Beer selection is great BUT they don t do samples. Love breweries and love the art of craft beer but Iv never been to one that doesn t let you sample what you are about to order to help you decide. The atmosphere is great and love the outdoor seating, the staff were lovely. Hope they rethink this, it would definitely make a big difference, ended up with beers I didn t like.

So this is the first time ever going to this location recommended by a friend. And I must say the beer selection is phenomenal. The service in the craft beer section was impeccable and very friendly. But I gotta be honest the food service and the access to ordering food online needs a lot of work. With only online ordering being an option, there should be QR codes throughout the restaurant on the tables so people can quickly and easily access the menus. And there were three of us in our party, where Two of us were not able to access ordering online because it said it was closed and the third person was able to order food but then we actually had to go to the location to pick up our food so the convenience was not all customer friendly. And tipping was actually a little bit of a pushback because we had to do all the work and all they did was make our food. Last time I checked, restaurants were not tipping or tipping the service. I actually talked to a couple of the bartenders and tried to speak to Anna who was unavailable and on a phone call at the time. I wanted to give them a benefit of the doubt before writing this review to explain the letdown as my first experience at this location. The food is great. It s priced to sell and good quality but making it available to every customer that walks in needs a lot of work and I stress a lot of work.

This is the best brewery I have ever been to. Full stop. Ive visited brewery taprooms everywhere between Miami and San Diego and no brewery is as consistent as Guadalupe. The stout specialists really shine in crafting the Veramendi stout, all the variations of chocolate stouts, and all the barrel aged varieties. Try the humility if its on tap, and enjoy the newly renovated garden area with indoor and outdoor seating plus live stage. Expect lots of high ABV pours that are perfectly balanced and leave you wanting more. I would give this brewery a 10 star out of 5 of I could.

My family and I had their pizza for the first time in November of 2023, and have thought about it ever since. It was so good we got it two days in a row! Always on the hunt for good pizza and was never able to find some that even compared, so we ended up back in New Braunfels for my family reunion and had to get it again! This was our third time and wow! The consistency is the main thing we love, it s nice to find a place that is always on point! Will forever come back here whenever we re in town!

Since Covid, the owner has been amazingly approachable and true to heart. The beer has remained perfect. If you want a local that acts local, bypass Austin, SM, and everywhere in between. So I had a friend that told me about this awesome spot so I brought my family and my dog & oh my gosh the pizza was amazing we had a Detroit 1586, I had a nice cold margarita and my boyfriend tried a scotch ale, & they were delicious 10/10. There is indoor and outdoor seating. They serve their own proprietary brews. They feature live music. Our favorite local brewery!! Pizza is always delicious, order early if its busy but it will be worth the wait. Wide variety of beer and rotating seasonal flavors. Staff comes by regularly to clean off tables and take glassware. We personally appreciate the catering to the adult crowd. This place is simply not set up for groups of younger kids to run around and play, there just isnt a good space for it and there are plenty of alternatives in town with playgrounds and larger open areas.

It s a shame, this place has so much potential but is unfortunately owned/managed by folks that reprimand their customers for rules that aren t posted or are even reasonable. And by the way they don t clearly introduce themselves or even wear brewery apparel when they approach you to tell you that you and your children aren t welcome. It s a brewery for adults one owner shared (and they have an adults only area already??). It s not a place that I would ever visit again or recommend after spending hundreds of dollars on a few visits, the beers and food are actually very good, the customer service and experience/ambiance is not. In my opinion I would suggest that they revisit their business model, their current one is not sustainable. All they have is excuses as to why kids cant be kids and are expected to sit at their table . All while not embracing children and having activities to engage them while their adult paying customers enjoy their F&B. It s sad, potential is there.

If you have children under the age of 16 do not come here. You are not welcome. This is the 2nd time we have visited this brewery. The first time was a great experience but I don t know if it is under new ownership but we were made to feel very uncomfortable and not welcome this time with our kids ranging from age 2-10. We were told they had to sit at the picnic table and not get out of their seats. Oh ok. It s an outdoor picnic table and there is a guy playing guitar on stage. Last time we were there the kids were dancing and putting money in the band s tip jar. Now it s like a prison for kids. If you have kids don t bother. There are other breweries that are more accepting and open minded. EDIT: The ball did not hit the customer in the head. It was more his arm and said customer was unphased. Get a grip. We go several times a week. Drive for an hour to get there. The beer is always good. Large variety to choose. On location its like 2 craft beer locations. Live bands several times a week. Last visit was my first disappointment. The selections are not the same from the front and the back. My favorites are in the front. It was closed and now for the year it is closed during the week and only open on weekends. Not sure about evening hours. Food is good but limited selection. Ill still be a regular customer. My price per person is based on a few beers and the food.

I am so sad to write this review. I was truly shocked by my experience but it s a heads up for other families with kids. If you are an adult you ll be SO welcomed to the property, you will not relate to my review. I have been going since 6 years ago and I am not treated the same with kids. Like I said, I have been visiting Guadalupe Brewing since before I was a Mom and before they have their back tasting room built out. Before Covid. During Covid my family did not go out much, but I recommended Guadalupe Brewing to my neighbor for an outdoor place to go with her kids but they were shut down because they wouldn t wear a mask in 2021 and the way they were treated was subhuman. Long story, short, it left a bad taste in their mouth. She was always hesitate to EVER go back. I blew off her experience. My mom friend begrudgingly then met me there for drinks for a girls night; we were treated great. It was as just us two.. girls in our 30s. They were great at GB and treated us great. Well now (Easter Sunday 2024) me, my husband, my 5 y/o and 10 month old decided to go at 4pm. Our friend s, husband and wife, 3 y/o girl met us there and we met people and became friends with this other couple that had a 3 y/o girl. Our kids all met and started playing. We always stayed in our area. Also, to our surprise, Guadalupe Brewing never got busy and there were many open tables. Our kids played in the grass and the rocks but we were approached after 2 hours being there, with STILL literally barely anyone there, that we are not welcome to be here with our kids. The owner approached us and said we need to leave OR our kids need to stay at the table. I said if anyone is complaining I will absolutely stop whatever is making them uncomfortable, but our kids are just playing in areas where no one is and near our table? Should they just sit at the table and be on phone and iPad to appease you? She said they need to be at the table. The words do not do justice for the tone how things were said and done. I am so sad to say that I will NOT be returning to this place after 6+ years of coming before I even had kids. I am so sorry we are burden. I am so sorry I had children. I am so sorry we so disgusting and repulsive being in your presence owner of GB. We are patrons buying plenty while we are there. But you don t want our money, you don t want us. I hear that loud and clear. So I recommend other families to Iron horse, we ended up spending our Easter that evening and they adored us for being there. I actually could not believe how different we were treated. Drinks, Service, Food, FANTASTIC. They were so kind and grateful for us to be there. Our kids are normal kids, not crazy nor unruly. And Iron Horse loved us and I was happy to be there. Adults w/o kids go to Guadalupe Brewing. Families go to Iron Horse or 5 Stones Brewing. Cheers! PS I hope GB learns the conservative, nuclear family driven folks pay their bills before it s too late or maybe I am wrong. Doesn t really matter, GB never has to worry about us.. nor our children again. I heard in Europe that kids are welcome everywhere, maybe I should move? Whatever. It is what it is. EDIT: My response to the owner. It would have gone a LONG way if you complained to us with a smile and kindness. It was a holiday for goodness sakes. And to use my transparency of my kids in your rocks to manipulate the perception that they are throwing them and putting them on tables? They literally were on the ground with small shovels digging and building with the rocks then to elude that I wasn t watching them and I didn t know what my kids were doing? I have young kids, I don t have the luxury to not pay attention to them. There were many other kids there and I don t appreciate you pegging it all on my family. No where is it stated that it s policy that children need to be sitting at tables at all times maybe add a sign? Maybe don t treat well meaning patrons that we are a disgrace? Like I said, maybe start with a smile. That would help. Scolding me and my family is not appropriate.

This is a fairly new addition to the New Braunfels restaurant scene, on the outer edge of town on the West side. It has 2 venues in one spot: the side focused on adult beverages and the pizza side, although pizza and beer are available at both sides. We arrived in the late afternoon on a beautiful day, and patronized the outside pizza area. Its a very tranquil place to enjoy a meal, looking out at thinly scattered Live Oak trees in an otherwise grassy field. We had a Detroit 1586 Pepperoni pizza. Its a very thick crust pizza and needs to be cooked more slowly than the thin cauliflower crust pizza which we also had. Both were ready at the same time, and both were cooked to the Goldilocks zone: neither overcooked nor undercooked, but just right. We had given them a cell phone number as we placed our order, and received a text when it was ready. Rating the service was difficult, as a high level of service with wait staff at your elbow is not the design. You order your pizza and drinks at a counter and give them your number. They text you when your order is ready, and you pick it up. Drinking water was available for you to pour at a big orange cooler. Thats not 5 star service, but it was not deficient, nor less service than was promised. The food is what we came for, and we were not disappointed. Dietary restrictions: The cauliflower crust pizza was the best that any of our party of 3 had ever had. Definitely a good solution for someone wanting to enjoy pizza, but needing a Gluten free crust. They do offer vegetarian pizza, also.

Fun Brewery, restaurant, and live music venue with plenty of free parking! I played there today with Ruben V Trio, and I hope to perform here again soon. Great outdoor stage perfect for local bands. The Detroit Style Pizza with pepperoni and sausage was excellent.

We ve been here a few times for casual birthday parties with cycling friends. Both times were on a Sunday, but this time, it s a good thing we had two reserved tables because the place was packed, I ve never seen so many cars in the front and back parking lot. It s a neat place to go hang out and enjoy some live music with your friends. The Pizza is good and now they have Burgers and they are big and delicious too! Oh! And all the beer is good too, they have lots to choose from. Get there early if you want to get a seat on Sunday afternoon. We ll be back!

What a great place! Staff was super nice and accommodating. The Texas Homey beer they make is top-notch. Soo many beers to choose from. I recommend getting a flight and try a many as you can. Live music was too!!! Sunny digger to try the pizza. We are it too fast to take a picture.. Will be back and soon

Got a deep dish carnitas pizza. I have never had such off the main path but amazing pizza. Everything was fresh and the dough was a fantastic texture. This is a pizza you can t get at any old pizzeria. I highly recommend. Also the beer selection is so diverse and pairs well with the great pizza.

Never EVER buy their pizza it is like paying $20 for 8 large chips. Their pizza is so thin I regret buying it and will never again. Beer is good, music is good but if you drink then look forward to food. You will be sorely disappointed.

Beer was top notch. Pizza was delicious. Server brought my dog a bowl of ice water. Beautiful grounds doesnt get much better than this. Editing the review as we went again last night 1/26/24, had the coconut lager which i loved. But whoever made the pizza last night deserves a medal. The detroit style was the best pizza ive had in a long while AAAAA++++

Guadalupe has been a mainstay of excellent craft beer for years. From their smores cocoa stout to their River Ride blond there is something for everyone. Did I mention some of the best Detroit style pizza around? I cant drive down I35 and not stop in. Guadalupe is a must visit if in the area.

Guadalupe Brewing Company was an amazing experience. The band was great, the beer was amazing, the pizza . The pizza was PHENOMENAL! The service was just as amazing as well. It was our first time visiting and we will gladly be back. They are very pet friendly and family oriented. I do wish they had a play ground for kids to make it top notch however that s just me being a mother of 2 toddlers. I highly recommend this brewery!!

Okay, so let me start by saying this is a wonderful place to hang outside, grab a beer, and chill. 5 stars. BUT the reason I have to remove one, and not more because I suppose it s not entirely anyone s fault , is because we ordered the Honey Hot Wings and were quite literally swarmed by bees! A few showed up, sucked the honey wings like their little lives depended on it, and then 10 more, and then maybe 3-4 dozen?! So, pro tip: don t order anything honey related, the bees live on or near the property and they re on the hunt. That said, the folks who worked there were super helpful and tried their best to assist. We weren t stung. We essentially just shoved the wings down, sans bees , as fast as possible. Put the dirty tray down away from us, to draw them that direction, and added the little table helicopters to keep them away. They eventually found *sweeter* pastures. Hehe But it was wild! If you ve got an allergy or phobia, consider yourself warned. If not, eat honey wings at your own discretion! Lesson learned and would def return otherwise.

The place itself is great. The setup around the pizza kitchen less so. Went here a few nights ago with some friends from out of town. Ordered the pizza online since we saw an online option. Ordered/paid and went to wait. Sat there for about an hour before we asked how much longer. They said they werent taking online orders that day and theyd not gotten around to turning it off. Refused to fulfil the orders for some reason, again despite them being paid. End result was leaving hungry, irritated, and down 16 bucks.

This brewry is amazing! The beer tasted great. Lots of choices, and they were all exceptional. There are plenty of places to order drinks from, and some bars have different options. And this is our fourth time coming here and it is absolutely amazing! The view and all of the plants in a country setting is so relaxing. We tried the pizza for the first time tonight and it was very very good! All of the beers that we have tried have been better than anywhere else. The only negative thing I have to say is my husband and I got there at about 5:00 on a Friday evening and we stayed untill about 7:00 and there were so many kids from the ages of two up to 10 that were running around screaming we had to move twice just to have some peace. Im all about bringing your children somewhere ....I have grandchildren but the parents were not watching them and I did notice there were signs on several different places from the owners that said keep your children with you and do not let them run scream or throw rocks.

Great beer - so many unique varieties and they set up the flights with all the details like the cinnamon rim or the toasted marshmallow on the s mores stout! Pizza was excellent (I had Detroit-style and had leftovers) and the atmosphere is fabulous- so much to choose from. And the SERVICE is outstanding - everyone went above and beyond. If you are anywhere close by, this is an excellent stop. I just happened to be in town for work and this place caught my eye. Next time I come through I will be back!

Nice place plenty of good beer. But they dont know how to manage. No tastes! Yes, that can be abused. That is where you manage! I asked if I purchased a small and dont like it, then what. She said you ordered it. Sad We go to breweries all over the country. This is the 2nd. If you go to a restaurant and the menu item is not good. Do you have to pay? No, the manager will inquire and set you up with a different meal. I wont return, thanks

The pizza was amazing. Tried both the Detroit style supreme and the NY style crazy pig. The beers were delicious, especially with the heat. You can taste each of the flavors detailed out in the ingredients with a pretty good kick ranging from 6-8%. A must go if you havent and a must come back for me

My wife and I have been visiting at least twice a year from Houston since 2017. They are our favorite brewery of the area and that is saying something. The beer is amazing with the stouts being a stand out. They keep improving the space, like adding some of the best pizza. They make a Detroit style pizza that rivals the Barrys special from Barrys pizza from Houston. To top that they are also very dog friendly.

Really loved this brewery. First off there are 3 buildings along with a big garden in the middle with more seating. First building seemed to be the main where you can get most pours and merchandise, it did have seating. Next you walk into a beautiful garden with a lot of seating and beautiful plants all over. The second building had some restrooms and another tap wall. Very friendly staff! Near the back was the 3rd building/ kitchen. Got the margarita pizza and it was amazing! Tons of seating everywhere and family friendly. Beers were delish and my favorite was the bb mead. Will definitely stop by when I am in the area. Highly recommend this place!

We had only been for the 5K s in the past, but recently we went for our first time not as runners. Beer selection is good!! Both my husband and I enjoyed a couple different kinds. But needs to spoken about is their food!!!!! SO GOOD!!! We got the chicken salad with a side of potato salad lots of salad right? WRONG! Lol omg their chicken salad in a croissant sandwich was so good and my husband bout fell out of his chair he loved the potato salad so much! Sorry I didn t get a photo, but needless to say, this is our favorite brewery food so far!! the staff were super helpful, funny and friendly!
