It s pretty much average, from the food to the service. The prices are what you would expect and the food was good, but not great. I had a chopped beef baked potato and it was a solid average. It was good enough I would go back if I was with someone who wanted to go, but I don t think I would pick it as a place to stop myself. With the prices being charged for BBQ these days you want more than just average. Maybe it was a bit of an off day or maybe it s just an average restaurant. It is definitely better than any Bill Miller.

We walked in here after a long day of floating Comal River. We read great reviews and were told it was the best spot. We were greeted by a girl at the counter who made us buy a T-Shirt because my daughter had her bathing suit top and shorts on (which was fine). After ordering our food and taking our first bite, this was the absolute worst bbq we have ever had. Brisket was horrible, ribs were horrible, pulled pork was so flavored with sweetness I spit it out my first bite. Needless to say, we threw our food away and our family of 6 is starving on our ride home. Save yourself the money and go elsewhere. Extreme disappointment.

I was really craving brisket and decided to give this place a try. Big mistake. I ordered a Brisket sandwich and a Brisket taco. The Brisket was gross. It was thin sliced like roast beef. The only reason anyone in their right mind would thin slice Brisket is to cover up how tough and dry it is. And it did not taste fresh and smoky like it should. It was definitely several days old and reheated. Also, BBQ SAUCE DOES NOT GO IN A TACO. Plain, Guacamole or Pico would be a better choice. Even bean and cheese but NOT bbq sauce.

After being greeted by the person at the register...I asked If they had a sandwich combo...they said yes...a drink is included...i asked for extra lean brisket...they ended up charging me for the one meat with 2 sides...charged me for a drink and I bought an extra drink since the food was for my son. We went to go fill up our drinks and there was no sweet tea...i notified the counter...and then right after the ice ran out...my number was called and I knew something was wrong with the order...its was just brisket slices and beans and bread...i took it back and told them what I asked for and that I was charged 3 dollars more for the 1 meat plate and in addition...had to buy an extra drink...the man was attempting to fix the transaction...the beans looked...sad...not like the beans I was accustomed to at nearby bbq places. While they transfered the meat that was already room temp to a sandwich bun I told the man that if he just made it a double meat sandwich, no refund was necessary. They added meat to the sandwich and replaced the beans with fries that were cold. When my son opened the sandwich, the bun was soaked and falling apart because of the bbq sauce it had been sitting in while we waited for the extra meat to be added. The kitchen staff female that was handling the remake was making faces and comments as I waited and even made the comment that she wanted to quit. Upon inspection, my son said I cant eat this it is tough and has a rubbery consistency I told him to eat the fries and he told me they were cold. I didnt want to approach the counter again out of embarrassment and I didnt want an even worse reaction than the first time. We left the sandwich on the table with all the meat uneaten and both orders of fries. I dont normally leave reviews but I felt this time it was warranted.

The outside is nice. It gives that country bbq feel. Once inside we all got Bill Miller bbq vibes. Staff was not thrilled about taking my order. Desert was not ready at 11: so i couldn t order. I ordered one of every side and the brisket. Craft mac n cheese is way better than their mac. Cole slaw was good, i ate it all. Macaroni salad was good to me but not to the rest of the group. Potato salad was not good to me. I ordered the Mexican rice to try but I ll never understand why that is an option at a bbq place, just doesn t fit in my opinion. Which brings me to the beans, any bbq place that uses pinto beans for baked beans gets a nope from me. Their beans are in no way fitting for a bbq place. The brisket was dry, i assume it was lean which can sometimes be on the dryer side but i would never get it again. Overall the price matched the quality, so i didn t feel i over paid. I would call this the Taco Bell of bbq. Food and service is like a chain food service.

I drove an hour to try this place recommended by a friend. I order one pulled pork sandwich . I was asked pickles or onions ? I say no pickles please. Food is fantastic. But, before going to pick up for our staff lunch I looked online for pricing. By the pound, brisket was $6.00 and turkey was $6.00. When I went to pick up. Price was by the pound, brisket $23.95 and turkey $19.95. 2 hours later We finished staff lunch and now most meat prices have been removed.

Nice staff, place was clean food was served quickly. My daughter had the breakfast tacos & I had the pancake breakfast. Tacos were a good size and flavorful. My pancake breakfast was filling pancakes were cooked perfectly, the eggs were a little bland and I wish theyd offered jam for the toast. Also it wouldve been better if they had served the pancakes on an actual plate instead of styrofoam. However not enough to keep me away, I will definitely go back and try something else.

We have been regulars for years now. A great place to grab dinner on our commute home. Lately the service has been poor. Last night was the worst. This was my first time coming here and I already know that I found my new barbecue spot. Everyone was very kind and hospitable, the dining area and restrooms are very clean and most of all the food was delicious. The prices, portions and flavor were all top notch. I ordered the turkey breast sandwich, pork belly tacos, rice and I cannot stop bragging about how delicious it was. The turkey wasnt dry and the bun was to die for. This place is great for all ages. They said the ribs were tender. They were so tough you could not bite through them and very salty. I threw them in the trash. Non of the three of us had ribs that were we could eat. The pulled pork I got was mostly sause and extremely salty. I could only eat some of it by putting it on the slice of white bread that came with it. The fries and Mac and cheese was not bad. I asked before I ordered if the ribs were tender and was told yes. That makes me even more upset. We will never return.

Second time Ive tried this place and it just isnt for me. The Carne Guisada was ok but I didnt care for the overly thick Tortilla. I totally did not like the Wurst taco. Sausage had a sour aftertaste. They have 2 types of Salsa, neither was hot. The pickled jalapeños had more of a kick. They are always busy. Which should say a lot of people like them and the tacos are huge. Just not the flavors I prefer.

Havent had Granzin Bar-B-Q in years. Since I was traveling through the area during business hours, I finally got my hands on a chopped beef sandwich Id been craving for so long!! YUM , It was delicious and enough beef to make a second sandwich. I was very disappointed in the customer service. The lady that was taking our order inside was not very friendly. Hate to say, but she cane off rude to me and another customer that approached the counter. Was also upset with the size and price of an individual mac n cheese. Almost $3 for two bites worth. Im just happy the chopped beef sandwiches were delicious.

Visited for the first time yesterday. I ordered a three meat plate with pulled pork, brisket, and turkey. The pulled pork was cold, the brisket definitely wasn t fresh that day, and the Turkey was nasty. My wife ordered a half chicken that was very dry. I ve seen lines here but now I wonder why. Toothpicks in the bbq sauce, bbq sauce splatter all over the eating utensils, poor quality food, etc. I really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately, I ll go without eating if this is my only option.

I had the brisket, egg, and cheese breakfast tacos. The flavor was out of this world. The green salsa was amazing! The only issue was that there was just too much fat left on the brisket slices. Favorite morning taco stop! They have the best tacos! They are large and delicious. They have tons of variety on their menu and Ive never been dissatisfied with my order. They get busy but dont let the long line in the drive through detour you as they move it along very quickly. Texas BBQ they are oldest in New Braunfels Texas. Definitely a home town feel and atmosphere. No table service or frills just good food. The worst BBQ I ve ever had here in Texas! If you want COLD food this is the place! First and last time.orders three meat plate. I asked for Brisket, Sausage and Chicken. I ve even had chicken that was sliced like brisket. The meats were drenched in bbq sauce. I almost couldn t see the meat! My sides were decent Cole Slaw and Mac n Cheese. We used to go to Granzins a lot when they first built this location, which was a long time ago. But coming back after all these years, it was a little disappointing. Food was not as good as I remember. The potato salad was amazing as before. But the brisket was eh. Probably wont come back, which is sad because we always had fond memories of this place. Kid-friendliness: They were out of fries which is horrible for people like me with picky kids.

First off I would like to say that I don t like to leave bad reviews but this is definitely something that customers need to be aware of. We ordered our food and I went to the ladies room to wash my hands and saw an employee leaving the bathroom without washing her hands after I heard that she flushed the toilet and walked out of the restroom stall. I immediately went to speak with the manager because this is unacceptable! There s literally a sign that says employees must wash their hands before going back to work we didn t even touch the food and requested a refund! I can guarantee you that we will NEVER go back to that restaurant!

After 5 yrs of not coming now I know why 1 food cold 2 my brisket was floating in coleslaw juice The service is not good 3 parking is hell Bottle sodas over priced And 4 after you get your plate with bread that is on top of the coleslaw wet ask for 2 more slices 25 cents more after they did that No Thanks need to reinvent BBQ cuz its no good

Amazing delicious food, served super quick and the combos are amazing. The Mac and cheese is real Mac and cheese not store bought, the barbeque sauce is something i didnt try before. Everything was delicious.

Went here for the first time on a recommendation. Everything ordered was excellent and great portions. The specials, were priced like specials still. The staff was friendly and fast, and the place was pretty clean. Cant explain how happy I was with this place. Ill be back every time I pass with an empty stomach.

Have heard good things about this place. I love the meat market but the restaurant would not provide us an extra to go plate for a family meal , we would have paid for it , forgot to give us our tea didnt give any napkins, the guy at the drive through was pushy, I get trying to get a line moving but at least for the prices of the food , give napkins , make sure we have all our stuff, having to go in line again to wait for something we paid for to begin with is annoying.

I gotta say, Im more than I little disappointed. This is my first unfavorable review and it pains me because I really love trying new BBQ. The restaurant was quiet, I thought it was just early. I didnt smell smoke, perhaps theyre done cooking for the day? It just tasted flat, uneventful, not at all fresh. Even the sides tasted like theyd been sitting. Ive been to places from large known establishments to back yards and countless food trucks in between and I dont know what was wrong here. I thought being a butcher shop, theyd have an edge? Ill continue to go to the butcher shop but sadly Im done with theyre BBQ.

Best breakfast burritos in town but I wouldnt eat them everyday - for health reasons obviously, which is challenge because they are so good. The only thing I dont like about them is the tortillas seems to be chewy which means they add whey to their tortillas, which is extremely unhealthy and fattening. To substitute for this, when I get home I use an organic vegan tortilla that is really super thin. I also feel like it tastes better in a thinner tortilla. Also lately the price has been going up which makes it harder for me to buy them as much. Overall, great place! :)

Not great. Lacking toppings and the sausage was barely warm. The best part was the bread. Everything else was, at best, mediocre. The line wasnt long but the wait was. Especially with the results being what they were. The order taker and number caller were great and trying their best. I think the kitchen needs an overhaul Mr and Mrs Owners. Very much underwhelming yall. A great presentation of Texas BBQ as things go. The food killed the deal. I tossed the second half of my sausage sandwich away. Less the poppy seed bread. I ate that up. And no yall, Im not fishing for your sharpening business. Just an honest review
