Wont go here ever again. They never paid my kid for time worked, because it was a deal done by the manager at that time. I even contacted the owner. Better places to go with better management.

Friendly staff and great location. The food and smell was very unpleasant. My kids found broken fishing lines and hooks in the river. The biggest thing was the smell coming from the food truck.

I come here often. I love that s it s family friendly. Great ambience and great staff. They also have a talented band that plays regularly. The band members are amazing and play at other venues (band name JP & the Irish goodbyes). Highly recommend the place and band!! :)

Joe and Zach are awesome guys, they have some great talented bands playing here. Love taking my kids here, they had a pumpkin patch and they loved it. Perfect spot to have the kiddos there and socialize with some adults! 10 out of 10 would recommend !

Such a fun place! In a town with tons of free music, its great to have a location next to the river to enjoy the outdoors. Fans and misters help cool down on hot nights. I have been four or five times to see different bands play with my family and with my friends. I always look forward to going again. BTW the nachos are amazing!

I love this bar it s my favorite place to hang out and have a drink they have great bartenders joe and Zach are so nice and cool people to talk to they always have great music and fun activities. If you get the chance to go you should check it out and it s on the river and that makes it so much better

Gruene Light is the one of the newest (and best) food/drinks/music venue in town. With a family friendly atmosphere by the water, the best local music/bands, and accommodating staff, this is the place has it all. Go relax by the river with a taco and margarita and listen to the best lineup of New Braunfels Americana music there is.

I frequent gruene in my free time, and this is one of my favorite places to visit in the area! I was very surprised how attentive the bartender Zach was, he s exactly the type of person you would want to be served by. His attitude was phenomenal, made the venue fun and welcoming especially For someone who isn t originally from this area. Would highly recommend to go here, and also hope that when you do that Zach is taking care of you!

Truly such a shame, I used to loveeeee this place and loveee the live music w both guy and gal friends. It sucks to know that they let a band with a frequent offender play there and put the customers and staff in such a vulnerable position with a dangerous person. Definitely not somewhere I feel safe as a woman, and I have no interest in supporting a business that supports abuse and violence in ANY capacity. Will NEVER be returning.

Had amazing potential, but management really fails to ensure the safety of its patrons. They knowingly hired and continue to book a band whose drummer has committed multiple acts of violence against various different women in the area. Don t bring your families here, there s other places that actually care about their customers well being. Steer clear and be safe ladies

I was planning a girls night out for when I returned back home, and saw this place that looked cool until I read the reviews. As someone has seen and understands the devastating impact physical and emotional abuse can have, I can t believe this bar is letting people play here knowing they re abusers. Definitely finding a different place for my friends and I to go, and definitely don t recommend it for anyone else.

Definitely not bringing my children or any family here after hearing about their abusive bartender/drummer. There are much better bars in new braunfels where you can get served by someone hasn t assaulted women.

This would probably be a good spot to hit up if they didn t regularly promote and advertise an abuser? Idk, this drummer from JP and The Irish Goodbyes literally hit a woman with his car and drove away.. and I guess they re just willfully ignoring this..? Honestly, there are MUCH better joints with much better bands in the area. I guess the Gruene Light is willfully ignoring who they endorse.. which is very upsetting. I was born and raised in New Braunfels and this is NOT the type of community we are. But the Gruene Light doesn t seem to mind women abusers?? Idk. Bottom line, maybe find a better place to go.

Collin was an awesome bartender. He took the time to explain the different types of beers and liquors. He was very attentive. Excellent place to hangout outside and enjoy the river. Highly recommend this place

Great outdoor venue. Live music was great. El Arroyo food truck was good, but really busy so food may not have been their best. When the restaurant opens I am sure it will be much better. Bar staff were great, working hard and very friendly
