This is a family-owned little gem! When we arrived, the parking lot was full. We went into the covered patio where we found a sign-in waitlist. When we got seated, I realized that there were only about 12 tables in the whole restaurant. One of us had migas, one had a two egg breakfast with crispy bacon, and the third had meatloaf. The biscuits were so light and fluffy, and the food was fresh, hot, and just how we ordered. The service was friendly and helpful. I dont live in New Braunfels, but Ill definitely eat here when I return!

We loved the home cooked feel & taste. Their cinnamon rolls made in-house are huge and delicious. We got breakfast and lunch. Short stacks, SOS, oatmeal & a burger. I loved how they have their regulars- the staff knew them and what their orders are. All the antiques on the walls is a nice touch. I felt like we were home.

Mom and pop that serves good food and not a terribly long wait to sit down or to get food after order was placed. Pancake short stack was pretty big. Comes with 3 pancakes. Waffles, eggs, and bacon came out just right. Parking can be difficult at times and can be scary parking in another lot due to the strict towing signs everywhere. Would recommend giving a try. Parking: Parking can be a bit difficult with the location but I had a few spots during the visit.

Whats not to love about a place that has somewhere around 40 to 50 options for omelets? The place is small, yet intimate. But they get the proper things right. Food and service. Atmosphere is a distant third for me. Get here early, because on Tuesday we arrived at about 8:15 a.m., and by 9 :00 the dining room was full. But as you know, being full is a sign of the right thing. Come here with confidence! Dietary restrictions: I am diabetic. There are so many options for these omelets, some of them are veggie only, and numerous combinations of meats, cheeses and veggies. That does enough for me.

Great Diner in an old fashioned train station. I recommend the Hungey Texan breakfast(very large and filled with protein). If you care, the gluten free pancakes are large and filling. If the place is busy(it always is), on the porch is a book to sign in with your party size. The staff turns tables in a reasonable amount of time. The food is worth the wait. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free available. Parking: If the lot is full, parking is difficult to find.

If you are on a bland food diet then this is the place for you. Food has absolutely no flavor and is obviously all boxed, premade, or frozen food. BLT: Tiny, had very little bacon, one squishy tomatoe, lots of lettuce. On the cheapest white bread you can buy. Toasted with NO BUTTER, so it was dry as all hell! Hot roast beef open faced sandwich with potatoes and gravy: tiny, dry, over cooked pieces of unidentifiable meat, drenched in straight from the jar SALTY brown gravy smashed potatoes were so over cooked you could suck them up with a straw. 3 teas were more expensive than all our meals. And we never got a refill. The front door was left open so there were flies getting on our food and in our faces. Its horribly small, hard to move around in. Cramped. I will not be wasting my money here again and you shouldnt either.

Ive eaten here twice. First was breakfast it was good. People are super nice. Next time went to try their chicken fry steak i really wanted to love it but couldnt. I make a mean home style cooked chicken fry was very disappointed in what I received. It was a frozen processed patty i knew looking at it n the smell. This meal would get lover but i balanced it for the breakfast. My corn was straight out of can no seasoning or butter n barely room temp. Potatoes were warm but no seasoning tasted like plain potatoes not mash.

Arrived on a Wednesday morning with a party of 3. Signed in outside & waited outside for about 30 minutes. Seems any party of 2 or more take take preference over a party of 3! Waiter arrived promptly & we had were prepared to order immediately. I had coffee, 1 egg, 2 bacon, hashbrowns & a English muffins. When our food arrived I had no muffin for another 10 minutes, 1 other person cornbeef hash ( from a can) & a side of hashbrowns which didnt arrive for another 10 minutes, 1 person had the Megas with 1 flour Tortilla which as mediocre. When pur Biscuits & muffins finally arrived I found the only spread was NOT BUTTER but little plastic cups of MARGERINE! What kind of Diner who boast downhome meals with pancakes would serve MARGERINE & not butter? No one ever freshened my coffee. Not a good experience for breakfast.

Susan had the Hunger Texan, which was way more than she could eat. She said the home fries were great. We got cinnamon rolls with the buttercream icing, fresh baked, and they may be the best cinnamon rolls Ive ever tasted. The staff was excellent, and the owner was very involved with customers. We talked with him a bit, discovered he had once lived in our area, and talked about his change over to the restaurant business. Highly recommended!

Down to earth owner. Proves he has great character by accepting constructive criticism from his customers. Nearly every business seems to get caught up in the world and tries to short cut the foundation of their business which separates the legendary restaurants from the ones that sooner or later shut down. The mom and Pop restaurants are our last hope for home cooked meals. With great leadership from the owner and fantastic customer service this restaurant provides this restaurant is bound to be around for years to come making great memories for now and future customers. In the future Id love to see different home cooked meals or daily specials. Meatloaf is great! But maybe some Union station diner take on chili mac or goulash! It would make the Jersey diners blush.

Not like it used to be. My favorite place for eggs and corned beef hash. Hadnt been in a while. Imagine my surprise when the from scratch biscuit is now Pillsbury or HEB from a can. Smaller portions, higher prices (plate used to be filled). Eggs were cooked perfectly but food was bland. Service was impeccable as usual. Gonna be hard to give $11 plus tip again though. Parking: Limited spots. Really hard to find a spot during the summer starting 730AM

After a short wait for our group of seven, we were seated in this cozy diner and were able to order quickly. The service was great and the food was even better. Not a knock on the waitress as she was very attentive and courteous. It was just that good. It was exactly what we were looking for and left us anxious to come back if not for the biscuits alone. Only regret is we didn t try a cinnamon roll. Truly a charming place we ll make a special trip to come back to.

The place was super cute . Food, mainly eggs, were overcooked. we asked for over medium, and yolk was fully cooked. Coffee could have been fresh as well. Parking: The parking lot is so small, and additional parking is available further down the road

Service is good. Food not so much. Packaged salad dressing not good. Lettuce was not fresh and borderline rancid. Chicken fried steak was greasy, thin and breading was not good. Very disappointed. Food

Came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning before church let out. I highly recommend getting there early. The cinnamon buns go fast because they are so good. Service was very good and friendly. The food was delicious. I had an omelette with mushrooms and avocado, hash browns and an English muffin. The hash browns are fantastic.

We had a late breakfast at this railroad themed diner mid-week and still encountered a short wait which speaks to its popularity. With a train enthusiast toddler in tow, we ordered a variety of menu items and he was enthralled by the visual feast as we waited. The food was good but portion sizes were fairly small and plated haphazardly, arriving at the table in random bits of order. Nonetheless, the service was pleasant and prompt. We may try it again for lunch!

Had a basic breakfast with Chicken Fried Steak. Definity from frozen pre-done (tasted just like the Costco CFS). Hashbrowns were from frozen also. Eggs were cooked perfectly, sausage was not something we enjoyed either. Biscuit was super tasty!

Union Station Diner is yummy! The prices are great and the wait wasn t too long! It s a first come first serve basis so you have to get over there to get in the queue. They have a famous cinnamon roll too that is to die for!

Quaint diner in the heart of NB with a railroad theme. The waitstaff is very friendly and attentive. The coffee was very good but the omelet was supreme. Upscale diner with a relaxed vibe!
