Our experience was awesome! The pictures came out amazing she was super great with our 16 month old and newborn. She was able to get smiling pictures of our 16 month old which is super impressive especially because it was around her lunch and nap time.The entire session took about an hour and a half. We loved our newborn and family photoshoot with Kimberly! She was very professional and did an incredible job with making our son feel comfortable during the session. My husband and I did not have to worry about anything during the session and Kimberly seamlessly took care of the process. Also, the studio was very organized and clean, the turnaround time on our images was less than a week, and her assistant responded to emails/questions in a timely manner. Wow! Kimberly and her assistant are simply phenomenal. Her talent was evident in her work, but in person, her kindness and expertise came to life. Initially, I was hesitant about doing a photo session during a pandemic and was not sure that the experience would be worth the headache. Let me say, there was no headache. It was quite the opposite. In addition to mask wearing and hand sanitizing, Kimberly was a baby whisperer. Not only did my newborn stay content, my five-year-old came to life with laughter. Me? I am not one for photos but felt completely at ease during our session. The results are keepsakes that my husband and I (and our children) will treasure for years to come. We have worked with Kim since our first child was born, 3 years ago! Newborn shoot for both of our kiddos and 3 consecutive years of holiday mini sessions. Kim is professional, talented and so natural with the kids that she is able to take amazing photos in between fussing kids during the sessions that we will cherish forever. We absolutely LOVED our newborn photo session!! As first time parents, we were obviously worried about whether our child would cry the whole time, or worse, have a blowout all over the beautiful props. Fortunately, the session went seamlessly -- we were very impressed by Kimberlys entire set up. It was obvious shes a professional by the ease with which she posed our infant and was able to calm her down in between outfit changes in order to get the perfect shot. So starting off I didnt even know if I was going to be able to make my session, Mrs.Kimberly was so understanding and helpful with rescheduling my session so that I could make it. Im so glad I went through with it because the photos were just beautiful and I will be able to have them as memories for my little one. I loved everything about Mrs.Kimberlys work and studio. It was so professional and she is a really sweet lady! Her studio, props, and colors are all so beautiful. I couldnt have chosen a better photographer, Mrs.Kimberly was also very gentle with my baby and knew exactly what she was doing. My baby stayed asleep the whole time and she even caught her smiling more than once! Im overjoyed with the newborn photos Kimberly produced of our baby. I was a bit late in booking, she got me in quickly, accommodated my urgency & was such a pleasure to work with. She has 3 boys of her own so shes a dream with tiny humans. Even though our baby was meant to be asleep before we arrived, she took her & was so patient & gentle with our munchkin. When it comes to your little one, there is no drastic measure anyone wouldn t take to create magical memories for. I m assuming any loving parents would agree. Well at least for me, I would make sure I want what s best for mine. Kim did an amazing job and I have to say she works so well with newborns and toddlers. I would recommend Kimberly over and over again not because of her obvious photography skills but more for the transparent genuine love she has for children. The plus side is her obvious skill which I m sure there are others who share the same talent but not the natural given talent of tinder love and care to my special bundle of joy. Thank you! Kimberly was amazing with our son! As a newborn photographer myself I was VERY picky on who we chose to photograph him. Newborn safety and quality of work was of utmost importance to me. We drove three hours to have Kimberly shoot our session and would do it a million times over! The session went amazing and I felt relaxed the entire time. It was a super laid back atmosphere. We booked our newborn session with Kimberly after seeing her beautiful photos of a friends baby. We chose the newborn, sibling, and family photo package. The experience was stress-free and the photos are beyond my expectations. Kimberly gave us a routine to follow in the morning before the pictures to ensure our baby was asleep during the session and asked for our color preferences. When we arrived, she had all the backgrounds, wraps, headbands, and props ready for us so we could sit back relax and watch the session. She also lent us a dress for our toddler because I left her outfit at home. The whole experience took about an hour an a half and the pictures turned out beautiful. Highly recommended! Weve worked with 3 newborn photographers and Kim is hands down the best!!! Her gallery speaks for her award-winning photography skills. But for those who have not worked with newborn photographers before, the key is the photographers ability and experience with infants and children. This is something that cannot necessarily be explained or shown on a website or gallery/portfolio. It is in this area that Kim really stands out. As we watched Kim at work, it was like watching an artist in action. She was in her own zone, handling our new born daughter with skill, care and efficiency. She was also amazing with our two other girls (2 and 4 years old) in the sibling and family photos. I highly recommend Kimberly for your newborn photos! She is very professional and takes over everything right when you arrive. She has tools and skills to soothe your baby as she snaps photos, and was able to complete 10 poses and several setups within an hour. She also has a wide collection of accessories and props to create customized setups. She has photographed over 800 babies in the past couple of years, and it definitely shows. The newborn phase goes by so fast, and it is a perfect way to document those early moments.

Kimberly was an excellent newborn photographer. She is very specialized and really knows what she is doing and is very efficient with her time. I was skeptical at first doing newborn pictures but after seeing her in action she knew exactly what she was doing and did a wonderful job. She knows child safety and has all the props and clothing at her studio. This was our first baby and we plan to go back to her for our other babies down the road. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for newborn pictures to use Kimberly. We traveled about 45 min from Houston to go down to her studio in Richmond. Well worth the drive.

Let me start by saying Im incredibly picky and I searched for a newborn photographer for months. I finally decided on Kim Burleson Photography, even though her studio was over an hour from our home. If you want a great photographer and an equally wonderful experience, you will NOT be disappointed with Kim. Shes incredibly patient, detail-oriented, responsive, and kind. She ensures the safety of your baby at all times and does extra editing on the back end to get the best picture, rather than sacraficing the babys safety. Shes very good with calming the babies, and also with getting siblings to comply and smile. If youre like me and prefer a classic, timeless look, I think youll be very pleased with Kims work. We did two sessions with her, and at the second one he was very fussy because of tummy troubles, but her patience and ability to be flexible with her planned setups yielded some great shots. All of her props and backgrounds are so beautiful, but in the end, its really her talent for capturing the perfect moment that makes her photos so amazing. She also took a few photos of our newborn with our two older children, and even though our 15-month old was VERY wiggly, she still caught several beautiful shots. What a blessing that we were introduced to Kimberly Burleson by my sister-in-law. We first met her for a maternity session and then newborn and we loved her so much we returned for an aunties and neice session. Kimberly was so amazing with our little one during the newborn session. She was gentle, positive(even after my little one pooped 2 times), and well experienced at handLing our newborn. She did a great job on how to keep a calm and welcoming atmosphere. She goes out of her way to find props for your photos and definitely knows how to use them to make each photo so unique.
