First time visit and pleasantly surprised. The salsa - salsa taquera style, had a good consistency and was not runny, has a bite to it but not over the top, but if you are sensitive to spice you may find it a bit much. Refried Beans - creamy and well seasoned, no need to salt these down, some of the best that I have had. The rice - moist but not sticky, tasted great. Enchiladas - ground beef was well seasoned, gravy was good, corn tortillas were not mushy as the ground beef was not greasy. Nice ratio of beef, gravy and cheese, although I would go light on the cheese next time as a personal preference. Staff was friendly and service was superb. Homey feel, with good food / value. Definitely want to go back and try some of the other dishes. Can see why they have been in business since 1970.

Its time for lunch after Sunday morning church. I decided to try La Suprema in Nederland. The Mini Chicken Nachos did not disappoint, more than I could eat in one sitting. Have had multiple incidents where I got home from purchasing over $100 worth of food and missing items out the bag, The second time was on 2-2-2024 and bought food for the whole family for my Mother s Birthday, got all the way home which I live 30 min away I stopped after working all day, and was missing yet once again my food, I called and discussed the problem with a very young kid and he assured me like the first time I would have my refund because I told him I lived too far and wasn t coming back, Both times NO money refunded to my card whatsoever

Very disappointed with the food here. We had the Chile Relleno . Heavy gross breading with rice inside the pepper and a ton of rice on the plate. The most disappointing thing was their charro beans! No spices and straight from a CAN! If you can t make good charro beans at a Mexican restaurant you have a problem!

I hosted a family gathering of 14 at La Suprema because I ve been dining here since childhood. They have always been consistent on the quality of their Mexican food and service. We all had a wonderful time together. The waitress was attentive and everyone happy. All meals arrived at the same time. Areas were cleaned and bused. Zero issues. Thank you La Suprema ! My favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. Been around for years. They have the absolute best chile con queso and salsa around. Chips are always fresh and delicious. For the life of me I don t understand how this restaurant was recommended to me and has such good reviews. The queso was worse than what you get from a can or a jar from the store. Enchiladas rice and beans were not as good as a frozen meal. Such a diss appointment for a $35 lunch. - In response to owner - server did not check in with me during our stay or I would have. I realize I did not comment on the poor service. I certainly have other places I prefer so that is no problem. Good luck to you as well and I appreciate your kind response.

I havent been here in over 20 years since I live in Houston and it was good to walk into a small quiet at home atmosphere. Food was great and service was excellent. It was such a nice surprise that the waitress recognized me from over 30 years of not seeing one another. Highly recomend and ask for Irma and shell take goog care of you.

Its ok. The choices seem different from other Mexican restaurants. Parking: Parking is tight. I saw so many cars and when we went in, not that many customers. Guess the staff needs the parking space near the front door. Be careful goingbin the door as no glass to see whos going in or out. Dangerous for a handicapped person. I came today during my lunch break. I was assisted by Irma. She recommended the flour tortillas since they were home made. They were great! I asked her for a coffee, she brought both the regular cup and later brought me a plastic cup. She said, it will stay warmer longer . That was so kind of her. I ordered tortilla soup as my appetizer, and for the entree the Carne Guisada. It had great flavor. The beef tips were perfect in texture. Easy to chew. She then asked me if I would like Spicier hot sauce, which of course I then said yes. Her recommendation was perfect over all. Attached are the pictures. Excellent service. Thank you.

Ive been to this place many times but one trip is going to be my last. Service - Excellent Salsa - Good Queso - Poor, you can taste the flower in it. Its like theres no flavor in it. So sad to see all the bad reviews and fake complaints when you know for sure these people ate all the food off their plate. This place has been ran by the same people for around 50 or so years now. Three generations my family has been eating here now and never have had one thing to complain about. Amazing and Authentic Tex-Mex likely the best food in my opinion for the Port Arthur area. I always get the carne asada and fajitas. The hot sauce is superb and chips are lightly salted to perfection, I cannot stress this enough to the public this is not a one and done place, you really must try it for yourself.

They have crunchy tacos!!!...dont get me wrong I still like flour or corn soft tortilla tacos also, but every now and then I need some crunchy v / u shaped tacos!!!! I had the ground beef and it was really good its served with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, rice and authentic refried beans. I ordered some sour cream to top em off...hehe.. Staff was super nice !!! This family owned restaurant definitely gets 5 stars from me... When I am in town again I will be going back to LaSuprema!!

First time here in 20 years. Not much ch has changed. Seat yourself, and we were quickly greeted and our drink orders taken. Soon our server was back with our drinks and took our orders. Good came out in a short while and was tasty, but, for me, lacked seasoning. I had the crab empanada, which was good, not great. Still, a nice meal.
