I have enjoyed eating here a few times in the past. But today, I was super disappointed. I ordered a simple chicken house salad and could only enjoy the chicken because I watched our waitress use her bare hands to make my salad. The tomatoes, cheese, and croutons all without gloves placed on top of my lettuce! I know it probably happens in many restaurants in the back, but out of sight - out of mind! The fact that they did this in plain sight, in the dining area was disturbing, a few people at my table even saw what happened. The restaurant was not busy, the waitress was ok. I am not sure Id go back, if I did, I definitely would not order a salad!

I loved.loved the Crawfish nice and SPICY HOT AND HEAT HOT!!!! GREAT! 5 POUNDS of Crawfish almost wasnt enough. It was on the expensive side, but well worth it. Bring a jacket or a sweater. Its cold in there. Youre mouths nice and hot, but youre nice and cold. I recommend this restaurant great all the way around.

Visited this establishment a couple of weeks ago around 11:15 am. We sat by the window and noticed several flies around the table so we moved to another. Ordered the seafood potato and didnt really care for it, but I ate the shrimp off of it. I think it was the queso I didnt like. I sent the gumbo back as I absolutely disliked it. However, my daughter in law got the fried fish and shrimp and let me tell you....that is definitely what I should have ordered. They have the best fried fish and shrimp in the area....hands down!! I would have loved to taste the crawfish, but was told it would be at least 30 minutes and we were in a hurry. We only saw our waitress once...though we did notice the table next to ours, which had what looked to be two waiters back to back to their table several times. I do think the place is worth another try. I just think we will maybe go at a different time of day.

One of the best places to eat in Nederland hands down!!! The service is impeccable and the prices are hard to beat for the food quality. I have gone here every time I go into Nederland because those Loaded Cajun fries leave you so full and craving more. I recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Alrighty. BBQ crabs-the best Ive had since Sartins. But problem: tonight, my husband and I went to eat crawfish. We wait for a few minutes before a nice lady takes our drinks but said she cannot take our order. Thats fine... I dont want to get too specific, but we heard our waitress asked them if they ordered a 5lb crawfish, the table said no, just put it at the end... We ordered 5lbs and we got nothing. We were there 50mins, got nothing. Food is great, I know they were over packed and need help, but... That experience was a bit extreme.

Straight trash. I went last month, I ordered the shrimp po boy. The $13 sandwich was dripping with oil. It was disgusting. The entire sandwich had 5 chewy shrimp. Just terrible. The fries were also nice and soggy. When I told the waiter he asked if I wanted to see if I could get a discount. Maybe the folks who eat here like greased soaked bread and chewy over cooked shrimps I don t know. But I won t be returning.

Our waitress, Tristie, was very informative, attentive, professional, and friendly. We had gumbo, crab legs, fillet fish, boiled flavored shrimp, and to top it off the most flavorful barbecue crabs. I wont spoil the surprise about the crabs, but if you remember the most famous place of this area that had barbecue crabs, these will not disappoint! I wish I had remembered to take a picture of them before digging into them! Thank you very much for a great experience, and I look forward to coming back again.

I have eaten here MANY times but this is my first review. From the Cajun side I have had crawfish and fried shrimp. The crawfish are top 2 or 3 South of IH 10! The fried shrimp were very good. I have had a fried hamburger here as well and I ve got to say, that was an AMAZING experience. Of the many servers I have had, their service has ranged from good to excellent with the average being close to excellent. The ambience is ok . The restaurant is clean and it has always been pretty busy, regardless of the time I have dined. I strongly recommend Touch of Cajun whether you want to dine in, order it to go or buy live crawfish you cannot go wrong.

Family wanted crab legs so we went here and we were not disappointed... Also I had the shrimp and grits and it was truly the best shrimp and grits Ive ever had... It has this amazing gravy with small pieces of very good sausage in it and the shrimp were huge and plentiful... They were out of potatoes for our crab boil so they offered us 2 huge pieces of cake to make up for it, we got one wedding cake and one red velvet and they were both over the top... That was our first time to go there but it wont be out last... Everything was top notch and first rate...

The service was nice and friendly but very very slow. The gumbo was seasoned well but way too thick. Crawfish were juicy but not seasoned well at all. BBQ crabs were seasoned well but were so dried out and empty. The brisket burger was dry . My brother enjoyed his seafood platter but they were out of oysters. The pistolets were also very good. Other people seem to enjoy the Voodoo eggrolls.

Horrible manager didn t try to fix anything that we ordered my mother had the BBQ carbs and they were half way cooked and had little to no meat at all in them the manager was nice enough to handle it and switch it out for crawfish . By the time I got my food my asparagus had a facial hair on it I told the manager he was very nonchalant about it and didn t try to ask if I wanted it fixed at all. By the time I got my check and looked at what I was being charged for I was very disappointed he charged me for the crabs even though it was switched to crawfish and there was a two dollar difference. When I asked to speak with him about the acted as if I wanted free food and said well you have to be charged for one of them . I believe he goes by BW or DW I m Not sure but I know I didn t feel like a valued customer because there were several mistakes that weren t fixed .

Arrived around 2:30ish on a Saturday, so between lunch and dinner rushes. There were several occupied tables, but nothing crazy. We were pointed to a table but werent given any menus, nor did the waitress even look at us as ahe passed by several times, so I grabbed menus for us. A group came in after us and was promptly visited by a waitress, given menus and drink orders taken. One waitress finally noticed we hadnt been helped. She didnt apologize, just said oh she didnt help you. What can I get you. We ordered and was told there would be a wait on the crawfish, not a big deal. Then told my husbands pasta noodles would take time would he be ok with spaghetti Noodles. We said ok, not a problem. The drinks and appetizer were promptly brought to the table. Then we watched as our food sat in the window as our waitress walked past, the other waitress walked past. The kitchen staff rang the bell again. I almost got up and got it myself. Finally, one of the girls working the bar came and got it. We had no silverware and had to ask for it. My husbands shrimp and sausage pasta had no sausage and when my husband flagged down one of the waitresses she first said no, it doesnt come with sausage. He said the menu says shrimp and sausage, she throws up a hand like fine whatever and says, Let me check. The other waitress comes out and says there is no sausage, oh thats the prep persons fault it should have been put in when they prepped it. Didnt offer to fix it or anything she just walked away. The rest of the food was ok, but it was definitely not worth $87.

We were so excited to try the BBQ crabs because someone told us how good they were. We got half an order, 1 pound of boiled shrimp and a cup of gumbo. The boiled potato was good. Tea was delicious. Waitress was attentive and sweet. The consistency of the gumbo was perfect. It was a dark and creamy, however it was salty, over seasoned, and had WAY too much garlic powder. We only had 2 of the $26.99 crabs. They had a strange flavor. (Ammonia?) They were too fishy tasting. The boiled shrimp were brown there was so much seasoning on them. We had 4 of those. I took a bite of the corn but had to spit it out in a napkin. I think the lid came off of the bottle of seasoning and it all dumped in. I cant even describe how horrible it was. We had to go somewhere else to eat.

Delicious food! I was impressed by the variety of options, and what we had was very good. The options rang from more traditional Cajun foods to a mixture of Southeast Texas foods like TexMex and BBQ. We had gator tacos which were phenomenal, but the loaded Cajun fries were the best loaded fries Ive ever had! Good sized portions too. Even the salsa that came with the tacos was good, and the chips were as well. Overall great food, and Im excited to go back and try more of the options!

The service was good and the server was attentive. Nice little cafe/resturant. The sign outside is easy to miss and doesnt stand out next to the The food was a little disappointing and a bit salty. We ordered the fish taco and a sampler plater. For the sampler, the fries was over cooked and very dry, but the fish was under cooked and had a soft squishy coating. The hush puppies, fried oysters and shrimps were ok. Nice size shrimp and oyster but the puppy was smaller than a quarter. The batter was plain flour based. The gumbo was delicious and made the southern way with chicken skin and all. The fish taco was on flour tortillas which is ok but we prefer corn tortillas. The fish on the taco was nicely prepared but salty. The slaw underneath was good but couldnt balance out the salt. Parking: Parker was abundant and directly in front of the resturant. Nice angled parking space on a low traffic street makes parking and leaving easy.

Me and the hubby had fried pickles,gumbo,grilled shrimp,fried shrimp and fish and im very pleased to say that everything was perfect...Service was on point as well.Hard to find a place that makes you feel totally satisfied and thats what we felt. TOTALLY SATISFIED!You gotta try this place out.

Waitress did not return to table after finally taking our order, servicing multiple others. Had to ask someone passing by to get our food after we watched it sit under heat lamps over 5 minutes. Rice overcooked with no seasoning, unable to substitute vegetable on side (asparagus), waitress did not check table after delivery of food so we had no refill, sauce, etc. Got our own to go box before asking manager for our bill, which she returned to collect on.

Whewww honey child let me tell you the food was amazing. We had gumbo, fried shrimp etoufee, and twisted Cajun . Me and my friend is sitting at the bar miserable and stuck. Cant even move. We will definitely be back again. Our waitress Ashlea customer service was excellent. She treated us like friends instead of customers. I highly recommend this restaurant.

First time Herr, after hearing such great reviews. I have to say...it was like the food was straight out of a home kitchen!!! Full of flavor and huge portions. I had the grilled gator tacos, no little bones in there! The house sauce is awesome as well. Boyfriend had the queso burger and it has crawfish in the queso. He said it was amazing!

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of most of the food. Im not a seafood fan so it was nice to find a place that can rock non-seafood meals. I tried to order the brisket burger and was disappointed to learn that they were out of brisket. It was a blessing in disguise since I reluctantly ordered the prime rib sandwich instead and was blown away by the flavor of the super tender steak that was piled up in the sandwich. 5 stars for the prime rib sandwich!! My wife had the shrimp and said it was probably the best shrimp shed had in any restaurant. She said it was comparable to what she makes at home. That is high praise indeed. I tasted the corn that came with her shrimp and can say it was top notch. My nephew ordered a burger and said it was amazing. My brother-in-law ordered the chicken strips and it was seasoned very well. I withhold one star because the natural cut french fries were soggy and flavorless and the seafood egg rolls tasted only of bread and cheese. Give this place a try. It is well worth your time and money!! I should note that the wait staff are super friendly and one of them had my 2 year old son rolling with laughter by making the sound of a crowing rooster.. :-)

My family dined here on Saturday, and it was hands down the best dining experience we could have ever had. Our server, Leah, was very attentive to our large party. Other staff were super friendly and interacted with us and kept us entertained. We came here specifically for the BBQ crabs, and they did NOT disappoint. Seriously worth the 114 mile drive from my home to this restaurant! We are already planning our next visit!!
