This is a very eclectic place to eat. Large portions for the price. Brought home some of the massive cinnamon rolls. Parking: This cafe is located in a strip shopping center, therefore there is plenty of parking. Kid-friendliness: Very low-key place so kids are welcome.

A big shoutout to Morgan and Michael! They made our experience great and created an amazing vibe. The snickerdoodle latte was top tier.

We had lunch here on a Friday. Perhaps we came at a very busy time, but this was a 45 minute exercise in teaching patience to my kid. Portions allowed lots of room for dessert. Gentle warning, the cheese mentioned on tacos is actually a sauce, which was jarring for my partner. There was a lot to take in with the many decorations.

$3 for the smallest cup of milk ever is absolutely ridiculous. This was our first time here and the food was great and reasonably priced, in my opinion. The wait was a little long but it didnt bother me because the food was good and hot. The only thing I couldnt get over was the price of milk. Now...I wouldnt have said anything about the price of the cup of milk if it was a normal sized cup. Its just greed. Its incredibly rude to charge that much and its not even 6 whole ounces. Charge $3 all you want but make sure the quantity matches what your charging.

My wife and I loved the original location, and thought they were gone after a tropical storm flooded the strand several years ago. We were super excited to see they were still around, just in a new location. So, off we went to check it out, and came back with mixed feelings about it .The staff is super nice and fun, definitely keeping the gypsy vibe alive, but the ambiance seems lost now that it is in a shopping strip and not in a historic warehouse, so that took some of the wind out of our sails. The menu still has unique food combinations, which was something we always liked about it, but the menu was sorta overwhelming in size, and the food ended up being just OK.

The food at gypsy joynt is very good, but the last time I went there, the cashier asked me to sell my soul for a cookie. I had weird devil vibes the entire time I was there and even canceled my order before it came out from the kitchen. I used to enjoy eating here, but I will not be returning again nor will I recommend it to anyone. f you do want to eat here, please bring your bible and some holy water with you.

What an amazing experience! The staff is so friendly and helpful right when you walk in. I hate the awkward first time experience of figuring out if we chose our own table, do we order at the counter etc. The host was informative and cheerful. When we got our orders, the pizza came out just a shade past extra extra toasty. I wasnt really concerned but our server, I think her name was Morgan, was so considerate and immediately offered to make us another. I told her no that wed be fine. Well it was still amazing and we ate almost the whole thing. Then she brought out another at the end of our meal and boxed it up for us. So we had it for dinner!

What an absolutely fun place to discover! Our family of 8 from ages 7-70 were in town to begin our first cruise together the next day. We tried one other restaurant that had a two hour wait. No thanks and we didnt want a run of the milk chain place. We took our chances being drawn to the name and the menu: something for everyone. From the very start, we were greeted by the proprietor and she explained we could take our menus to any table we chose and then come back up to order when we were ready. She came and helped us move tables to fit all 8 of us. She made us feel at home, like family. The menu had fun names for each item. The food was fresh, plentiful, fresh, delicious, fresh and scrumptious! The pancakes are AHHMAZZZZING and HUGE! Best pancakes weve ever had! I had ordered a delicious salad but my granddaughter couldnt eat all her pancake so I took a bite and ended up eating mostly pancake! I loved the salad though! Full of fresh, flavorful veggies and bites of steak. Everyone was filled and satisfied and happy. Our servers were fun. The decor was fun and kept us intrigued as we waited on our orders which didnt take long. As we ate the Proprietors came over and introduced themselves and we found common places we had lived. They are awesome! Our only regret is that we dont have a Gypsy Joynt where we live! If youre in town for any reason and want hands down the best food, a fun time, in an interesting fun place come to Gypsy Joynt, your tummy and taste buds, and wallet will thank you! We LOVE you Gypsy Joynt! You set the stage for an amazing experience at sea for our family! Thank you! Vegetarian options: Delicious salads

Although we were only there for about 10 minutes (right before closing ) the atmosphere was impeccable and the staff were super awesome and chill. The coffee was superior to any of the chains. Well worth it. I would drive 4 hours every day for it, if I could afford the gas

I got the Vega loo and smortella latte my bf got the pulled pork with sweet potato tots. The lentil patty was seasoned so well. Its decorated so random and fun in there. Its good for a game of I spy. My only regret was the latte. I asked for almond milk and they put whip cream on it. I should have specified no whip.

Galveston is our current stop on our full time RV travel route. We looked online for a nice place to have lunch today and chose Gypsy Joynt because of the varied and interesting menu. Upon entering, we made our selection and proceeded to the counter to order with immediate exceptional service. We checked out the amazing decor and sat to have our food delivered in a timely manner. Again, excellent service from all employees. We took some of our food to go and of course, had to take some of the yummy desserts back with us. Thank you, Gypsy Joynt, for making our entire experience a wonderful one!

Plus, everything is super affordable, breakfast is served anytime, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!

Most disappointing experience in a very long time. It took 51 minutes to get a burger and a muffaletta. Upon asking the server to check on the order, 10 minutes passed. Upon complaining to the cashier about the delay, a cook came out and said, We told you its coming up. No Im sorry, what can we do to make it right? Nothing. I had heard nice things about this place. I was not impressed at all. The burger was a little better than average. The muffaletta was not very good at all. I will never go back and would not recommend this place to anyone.

We loved our experience here! It was about 45 minutes before closing time when we stopped in after a long day of travel, and the staff never rushed us. They were very kind, and attentive. Our meals were amazing, and when we walked in our 4 year old asked for pancakes and we were so happy to see an all day breakfast menu. He loved his pineapple stuffed pancake with homemade whipped topping, and sausage patties, and I really enjoyed my muffaletta. We loved the vibe, food, service and atmosphere!

My wife and I visited this place since a good lady friend recommended it, and its definitely a hidden gem! We ordered the Garbage Pizza along with bread pudding (with green and purple sprinkles) and a big multi-colored piece of cake. Man, the pizza was SOOOO GOOOOOD!!!! The bread pudding was absolutely scrumptious and the cake was pretty good too. It was just fan-freakin-tastic! The service was great and the staff were friendly & welcoming, and I thought the place was pretty cool with the interior decor. Will definitely keep coming back every time Im in Galveston. To the owner: PLEASE DONT EVER CLOSE DOWN!! I have become a big fan!!

Such a fun, colorful, and relaxed restaurant! The portions are good and the prices are more than reasonable. You can easily spend $10 or less per person and get a decent sized meal. We loved the French toast cinnamon roll with fruit, the biscuits, and the breakfast potatoes. The coffee was pretty mediocre, but the food and vibe more than made up for it. The flavor is excellent and its visually appealing too. Even though Im full I just want one more bite to bring the flavor layers back to my mouth. Service was quick too. Highly recommend if youre going to or from Moody Gardens like us. Also dont forget to try the home made cinnamon rolls! Ask if theyll heat them a bit.
