Great food and great service. Greeted with a warm welcome as soon as I stepped in. Food was very tasty I got the Philly skillet and was able to add jalapeño to it. The very berry pancakes on the side were the perfect for my sweet tooth. Coffee was topped off anytime it went below half and never went out.

Tried and not going back. ISO looked forward to the veggie skillet as described in the menu I was given. It included avocado.. yet was served without. Very disappointed and both server and manager FAILED to apologize!! Blew it off as a menu correction that wasn t yet corrected. Too bad Soth Fork! Your FAILURE to apologize to me and offer to reduce the price or comp my meal cost you my business and earned you this review. BTW - they DO have mimosas .. but not on the menu so my friend and I missed out

Service was very good. Our waitress, Gaby, was awesome and funny. We loved her. Food tasted very good. They kept our hot cups of coffee hot and filled up. Extra points for their use of healthy butter and not synthetic and highly inflammatory seed oils. Gluten-free options were on the menu, which was also appreciated . Inside environment was nice, and they have indoor and outdoor seating. Prices were reasonable considered the inflationary times we now live in. We plan to go again. Suggestion: The addition of heavy-whipping cream (non half-and-half) for would be a HUGE win

A quaint little place that serves Breakfast and Lunch at a great price! A large menu thats sure to have something for everyone! Breakfast was wonderful, and the food was hot and fresh!! There are so many breakfast options, from eggs, pancakes, biscuits, and gravy to steak with your favorite sides. #nojudgement! Last week, we ordered the avocado and chicken wrap, which was (very large) delicious and fresh (needed a to-go box)! Today, we came for lunch! We both ordered the chicken strips w/ fries and a salad. The salad was big (for a side), fresh with a great mix of fresh ingredients. The chicken was not our fav, as its cooked frozen and was way overcooked and super crispy. The (crinkled) fries and country gravy were both good. Our server was Fernanda, a sweet and kind young lady. She knew the menu and was attentive. While there, a server delivered a vibrant pancake breakfast dish that caught my eye, so I just had to snap a picture (with their permission, of course!) see below! We will be back to see what other favs we can find... as good service is so important (& getting harder to come by), and this place will welcome you and treat you like family. See you in Murphy! Visiting Southfork Cafe today. I like the decor. The music is quite eclectic, centered around the 80s, which is cool. And wifi so I can work! I went with a pretty basic choice, Eggs Benedict, but it was well-executed. The have a house-made salsa that is flavorful, but like most places not as spicy as I would like; that said, no breakfast place has a salsa spicy enough for my tastes. Staff and service were great. Its too much of a drive to go on our list o breakfast places, but if I lived in Murphy, it probably would.

This was mine and my wifes first time dining in. Aliye was an amazing server. She was very attentive and very bubbly, so it made our interaction with her more enjoyable. I ordered the Chicken & Waffles. The chicken was a bit dry and lacked flavor. I had to add quite a bit of Tabasco hot sauce. The waffles had a light crisp outside, while soft and fluffy on the inside, which was delious. I rate my dish a 3/5. My wife ordered the classic Eggs Benedict with extra crispy hashbrown. Unfortunately, one of the Eggs Benedict had been cooked too long and ended up being a boiled egg instead. The other Eggs Benedict was cooked correctly, and the hashbrown was crispy. My wife says 3/5. Overall, I wouldve rated this place a 4, but because of our server, Aliye, I now rate it a 5/5.

I found a hair in my chicken fried steak and they still made me pay for it, I didnt even eat it. I understand and know this will naturally happend occasionally. First timer but well be back. The staff were so nice. Plenty of space on a weekend despite how busy it is. We managed to get seated right away. Portions are huge and definitely shareable. I did not manage to finish my food. I got an omelette and my husband got a skillet. Both delicious. Also got the Oreo pancakes for my kids to share. HUGE portion. So good. Gotta try the other options in the future.

We were a pretty large party (14 people) and service was fantastic. Coffee was hot for the entire table and filled regularly. I got the waffle, eggs, and a couple of meats. Bacon was full strips cooked perfectly instead of those wimpy ones you get at places like Dennys. Overall excellent experience, I highly recommend this place.

Even if you are sleepy eyed, the bright LED lights will wake you up with the added advantage of panoramic windows allowing sunlight to cascade through. Look at the ceiling and the hanging flowers and leaves will brighten your day. The interior is spacious with very little noise to disturb ones casual conversations. Unfortunately, the food did not brighten our day. The Smoked Salmon had a silky coating of Hollandaise sauce that was too thick. The token tomatoes had the same color as the salmon. Capers were nice but the shelf life of the smoked salmon was felt in the taste. Hash browns for both orders were identical - underdone. Ive ranted about the scrambled eggs in American Diners and this place was exactly on par. Also, didnt quite understand the need to add carne bits to a veggie entree. The service was excellent. Anokhi explained everything, offered suggestions and kept an unobtrusive eye on our needs. Vegetarian options: Very limited options!

Basic cafe food that took forever to come out of the kitchen. The waiter didnt bother to update us while we were waiting until we asked after it had been 45 minutes. He barely acknowledged people as he occasionally appeared and when our food did come out, it was still wait for toast, wait for biscuits and gravy, and seemed upset with us when we mentioned after 5 minutes of waiting for toast that we still needed it for one of our people to be able to eat their meal. When we went to checkout, we asked to split the check and the screen showed half the price for the first person, the card was inserted, and then when taken out, it showed total paid as the full amount of the check, not half. The cashier just looked and said, oh sorry. The food was not amazing enough to go through that, much less have the long wait to cook things that take way less than 15 minutes.

DISCLAIMER: THIS PLACE IS NOT DHABIHA HALAL I talked to the owner before coming in to ask if it was Halal and he said yes, everything is except for the bacon. When coming in, just to have peace of mind, I asked who I believe was the manager once more and he gave me an indirect answer. It was only until we sat down that one of the waiters came and told us that the meat was not Dhabiha. We were pretty shocked to hear this and felt disappointed that BOTH the owner and manager lied to us. We shouldve left, however, we decided to stay and opted for eggs and pancakes. In all fairness, the eggs werent bad, but needed a decent amount of sauce. The pancakes were alright. I wouldnt justify coming here for those 2 things only. 1 star for being lied to

There is enough seating for everyone. I went on a Monday morning around 10 with a group of 5. The pancakes were delicious. At 10:45am on a rainy Sunday, it took a few minutes to get seated but then an hour to get our food. Even then the two entrees ordered were brought out over 10 minutes apart. Staff were very polite and acknowledged the extremely long wait times by apologizing often. The staff also revealed that weekends are always super busy and would likely have been more so had it not been raining. Food was quite good but for me does not offset the extremely long wait times.

Weve had both breakfast and lunch here and both were excellent. They are very accommodating to special requests. (I love the Santorino Panini with bacon instead of chicken.) I have visited South Fork Cafe on three occasions now - one for breakfast, one that was more of a brunch, and one for lunch. The food has consistently been good. For breakfast, I have had the Traditional breakfast as well as an omelet. I always get the hash browns and they are good - crispy on the outside and tender inside. The bacon is thick-sliced and you get three strips. Bacon has ranged from crispy to somewhat limp and I have not requested anything special. There are several bread choices (including pancakes) and I ve been a bit disappointed in the biscuit - my personal preference is a biscuit that has a little crunch on the outside. Tastes vary, however, and you may prefer a biscuit that is soft throughout. Coffee is excellent and definitely not your typical diner-grade coffee. I have also had the omelet which is served with the potatoes and a bread choice. The omelet was very good and they will customize. The gyro sandwich was also very good and you can choose a side (I had a small salad instead of fries). My lunch companion had the traditional breakfast (served any time) and was quite pleased. Service has been generally good with excellent service on 2 visits (shout out to Anita) and OK service on one busy Sunday. The manager (Sam) makes frequent trips around the tables to visit guests. One note - your server will give you your check and you pay at the front near the door. The decor is very nice - I can t do it justice but there are pictures on their Google page. It s great to have such a nice breakfast & lunch option in the greater Murphy / Wylie / Parker area. South Fork Cafe is doing things right and I plan to be a regular patron. Parking: Plentiful parking in the shopping center s parking lot. Wheelchair accessibility: Nearby accessible parking with no obvious impediments.

Today, as we were walking out and leaving the restaurant from breakfast, a kind lady rolled down her car window as she stopped to ask, Is it good? Our reply was yes!!! The pancakes remind me of IHOP. Most of all, breakfast items are $12.99 and below and include pancakes. The owner and all staff we have come in contact with are very nice.

Wow absolutely blow away on how yummy ALL the food was ! Can t wait to go back and try other options! Literally blow away because my hubby and I decided to come in while the car show was happening so the place was absolutely packed like standing room ! And nobody was upset so it really showed that it was worth the wait ! Turns out immediately upon walking in the dishwasher motioned was a place at the bar to order and eat ! He was so attentive and he helped me choose my order bc I asked his recommendations .. the waiter , hostess, all workers including the dishwasher were all smiling and very attentive with a mass of people hungry either waiting for a seat or eating ! Amazed me that with the amount of people they all were so calm and pleasant and smiling ! Turns out Alex the sweet dishwasher was one of the owners ! He is a gem and definitely has found his side hustle ! Before leaving a sweet man walked up and asked how everything was and I couldn t tell him enough good stuff . His name is Sam the other Owner! Food is very very good not the same commercial food you get at the chains and definitely the workers attitude is by far the best ever !!! They will be opening another soon I believe in Plano .. love this place ! ( my sister is a GM at Awshucks s on Greenville and she has taught me how to find a good place . But this place is superb!!)

My recent visit to South Fork Cafe was nothing short of disappointing. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with an atmosphere that lacked warmth and charm. The ambiance did little to whet my appetite, and unfortunately, the food didnt fare any better. However, what truly made the experience intolerable was the abysmal service provided by our waiter, whose name - if I remember correctly - was Matt. His demeanor was not only rude but downright sleazy, making the entire dining experience uncomfortable and unwelcoming. To top it off, when my coffee was served, I was appalled to find lipstick stains on the rim of the cup. It was evident that basic hygiene standards were not a priority, as our waiter didnt even bother to check the cup before serving it to me. Overall, my experience here was marred by subpar food, an uninviting atmosphere, and deplorable service. I strongly advise against dining here unless you enjoy being treated with disrespect and served questionable beverages.

This was a wonderful place for breakfast. The staff was really on top of things and very attentive. Our server Matt was exceptional! The owner was also very kind and raved about how much he appreciates his staff. They do offer gluten free bread, pancakes, waffles and French toast. I had the avocado toast and enjoyed it. I had the club sandwich with tomato basil soup - both were delicious! I also tried to order a single berry pancake but without saying anything about it, she decided it made more sense to order me the whole berry pancakes meal. She said it was more cost effective...it worked out fine because they were delicious even warmed up the next day. Their pancakes are really really good - and I dont even love pancakes! Service was attentive. Atmosphere is meh...the color and hanging flowers are...A lot.

They really should have called this place Sam s cafe. Sam runs a great restaurant and creates a family atmosphere in a world of chain restaurants. They have a great staff and great food. Sam is the life of the restaurant and the reason many of us go. Such a genuine person who wants to build relationships with his customers. He works hard to ensure a quality product is delivered. Edit: 2nd Try We gave the South Fork Cafe a 2nd go. And I can say, SO MUCH BETTER!!!! It looks like they have their kitchen issues ironed out. Food was served about 5 minutes after ordering, and there were no issues. If you re in the Murphy area, come check out the South Fork Cafe! ********************************************** Decided to try a new place for breakfast in our small town. I had heard good things from others, so since we live across the street, we decided to give it a try. I will start off by saying this place is fairly new and I m sure they are still working out some kinks. There were plenty on seats available, so no wait on a Sunday at 11:15 am, which is usually not the case around here. We were promptly sat at our table and our drink orders were taken. We then shortly placed our orders and proceeded to wait for our food. This is were things started going a little south. We were told that the kitchen was backed up and it would take a little longer for our food to come out. No problem! These kind of things happen. However, it took approximately 45 minutes before we got our food, and not all of it was ready, correct, and some was overcooked. Our order was biscuits and gravy(the first to come out), eggs Benedict(eggs over cooked, and rest of the food cold) blueberry crepes( got blueberry pancakes) western omelette w/ biscuit on the side(biscuit was hard and cold, no omelette). We sent the incorrect and overcooked food back and proceeded to wait another 10 minutes for food. Out came the side biscuit( hot but still hard), eggs Benedict( hot and cooked properly), blueberry crepes, but still no omelette. 5 minutes later, finally the omelette. All food tasted good. Hopefully this is just a little hiccup and they get everything sorted out. We will probably try it again.

T is an amazing server! And of course, Sam, the GM, it s so welcoming and very personable. He remembered me from all the interactions that I had with him at his previous restaurant, and he seemed like he was genuinely happy to see me and my family. That personal touch always goes along way. As far as the food, my wife and I both had omelettes with hashbrowns and pancakes, and it was all five out of 5 stars, cooked perfectly, and came out quickly. And they have the best coffee! Highly recommended this place, it s going to be packed on the weekends here in a couple of months, I can guarantee that

I had the Mexican skillet and my son had the Murphy s skillet! The portions are amazing and The service was so fast my food came to my table within 10 minutes of ordering! Great breakfast. The Eggs Benedict were perfect! Hubby got the Murphy Skillet and he said he would definitely recommend and order it again. The Italian roast coffee was fresh and delicious! Service was great by Megan. Beautifully decorated and had a happy and friendly vibe! Just opened this week, so the very capable staff are working out a few kinks that won t stop us from coming back! Vegetarian options: The avocado toast looked amazing. A large selection of vegetables and sides were offered on the extensive menu. Parking: Loads of parking spaces including handicap parking right in front. Kid-friendliness: There were many families with children dining there on our visit. Noticed they had a nice kids menu.

Oh my goodness gracious, where do I even start? Everything from the food, to the service, to the vibe and ambiance was wonderful! My server, Lupita, was not only super pretty, but she was also energetic and attentive. To be honest, I d come back just for her. The interior decor matches well with the atmosphere which I love & showed pride in being in Murphy, Texas with additional wall murals that I did not take photos of. I got Eggs Benedict with wheat toast and an iced latte with caramel. Very good! My husband got a Belgian waffle along with bacon, sausage, and hash browns. He also had grits as well. We got a great surprise tasty dessert which was very much appreciated. We left full & happy and definitely will be back as repeat customers!
