I wanted to find a place to walk my German Shepherd, Kira, after my acupuncture session at Clear Choice Wellness in Montgomery. She patiently waits in the truck during my session so I like to take her for a walk as a reward. Memory Park is located about 7 minutes from Clear Choice Wellness, so it is a perfect break for Kira after my acupuncture session. This is a beautiful park highlighted with memorials, walking paths, statues and a pond. It is located next to the West Branch Library. This will be our walking place after each acupuncture session.

Amazing little haven. I enjoyed everything. Sadly I noticed there aren t any rules when it comes to feeding the turtles and koi fish. I noticed some people throwing marshmallows and cereal in the water. This can harm the fish and turtles and is not part of their diet. There should be a sign that at least encourages people to bring fish and turtle food. I couldn t help but to feel Concerned about them.

Nestled next to a sub division, and next to the public library is Menorial Park. Never have had trouble finding a parking spot. Great place to take a stroll, or walk your pet. I think the full walk is maybe 2 miles around, but never vested too much attention on the length. Lots of park benches to take a load off and enjoy the scenery. Theres an area for kids where you can pull a book and read to them, and another displaying some history of the area; old buildings of the time, etc. Really enjoy the water fountains and the brooks and streams that were constructed into the main lake; very peaceful. Perks include the free doggie doodoo bags and designated garbage areas. Makes things easy when you forget your own. Although its not necessary, highly recommended donating any spare change, etc. at one of the boxes located around the park path. It helps to keep up the maintenance, etc.

It had the large pond, colorful flowers, waterfall, benches, trees, bridges, etc. It was beautiful. I was so happy that someone on Facebook recommended this park to us. It was perfect. And a truly awesome place to just go, sit and relax and read a book. They even have books in a decorated box/ book nook you can borrow while there that you can read but its important to return the books for others to use as well. They books should not leave the park.
