My boyfriend and I have been coming here for three years now and it is our absolutely number one place to go. The orange chicken is so good that it is now our favorite food. The quality of it is unmatched.The fried rice is beautiful. The california roll beautiful. The wonton soup delectable. EVERYTHING is high quality, fresh, and ultimately delish! The PRICES are SO GOOD. We love to come for there lunch specials to get the bento box. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is wonderful. All of these bad reviews are so confusing. We are so sad that it is closing!!!

I was very disappointed in the food. We ordered Orange Chicken and Mangoilian Beef for lunch to go. The Chicken was soo over cooked that we trashed it. The Mangoilian beef was just vegetable NO BEEF! I will never go back. I would not recommend this place. I also called the manager and told her. She seem very use to complaints about the food. She was brief with no solution.

Something changed here! Wrong Soup served. They forget to bring the right one out. Ordered 2 meals only one showed up and the 2nd took so long we canceled. Fried items had a hint of burned frying oil. Health Inspector grade was a B. Place was not busy and after reading other reviews I understand. Management tried to make it right and waiter was patient but food and service was poor.

I would never wright a review on this place it s one of my favorite fast food Asian spots near my home. However after tonight s service forced me to do so.I have been going to this place for years but to be honest after tonight I recommend they revamp the staff. I ordered my dinner for pick up I picked up it no problem got home and noticed rice wasn t in the bag so I called the guy who answered picked up the phone I informed him I didn t get my rice he just put the phone down with out replying no one ever came to the phone. I called back 5 times and was all my calls were screened. I know you guys have experience new management change but the staff needs to be addressed. I have been a long time customer over 6 years and I don t appreciate how I was treated this evening. Please don t lose customers because your staff wants to play childish games.

Always enjoy eating here. Ice cold beer, excellent bar, and the food is always wonderful. I only take one star off for atmosphere. Its a cool vibe, but there is always cleaning supplies visible. Its like if the Mona Lisa had a small mustard stain on her dress. Its still great...but someone needs to let her know about the little smudge :)

This was disappointing to write. In all of the years that my family and I have been eating here this is the first time we were given food that had obviously been reheated and soy sauce added to mask the fact that the food was not freshly prepared. I called to complain and the manager clearly was not concerned. I should have tried everything before calling as everything was horrible. After eating only one piece of sushi my head immediately started hurting. I hope the next guests experience is better than I ve had today.

The tangy chicken was awesome but the dragon part of the dragon and phoenix was a little chewy (I guess that was the actual dragon part) . The service was excellent and I thank our server Anahid for her honest opinion on some of the dishes. . The restaurant is quiet right now, ( but it s just late afternoon). We will come back. FYI. This is our second time here. The first time everything was pretty good.

This was my second visit, and Ill definitely be a return customer. I made it there just in time before Happy Hour (HH) ended at 7 pm, so I took full advantage. My lemon drop cocktail was nice, sushi was really good, and I also ordered a non-HH dish, the triple delight Mongolian dish with fried rice. Im hooked... I was already looking for a really good Asian restaurant nearby, and Ive found this gem less than 5min from my house. The restaurant was not packed, which I personally liked, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely as well.

The sushi was probably the worst I ve had in a long time. I ve had two other experiences here that were good, but this one was bad enough to warrant a review. I tried order some nigiri, they were out of sea bass, kampachi, salmon, and one other item. The fish that came out was not fresh and overpriced (I don t mind spending $7-10 for nigiri if the quality is there, but this was far from it). The rice under the fish was nonexistent and looked like the someone was in training. I m not trying to just complain to complain, I hope owners/management can see this and course correct because you have a great location and potential. The Otoro came out and was beyond spoiled. The color was dark and looked off, I tried it and had to immediately spit it out into a napkin. It ruined my appetite. The staff was beyond friendly and removed it, but the food was abysmal. Your team is nice but the sushi quality needs to be addressed so that you don t lose customers.

This food was so garbage, I barely finished my food. I m eating the leftovers rn because Im broke. Guess what? It still tastes like hot dookie. My brothers lo mein was soaked in sauce and at the bottom you could see a pool of grease and sauce. My orange chicken was the WORST orange chicken I have ever tasted. Jacklyn provided outstanding service. My drink glass was never empty and all our needs were met with a smile and great service. I had the Kung Pao Chicken plus I added shrimp. It was outstanding as was the hot and sour soup. We also had the vegetable tempura, it was done with just the right amount of batter and was delicious.

i got sesame chicken and teriyaki beef sticks on doordash. the beef was completely flavorless. no sauce, just steak on a stick. the chicken was decent but had an odd flavor, almost like it was cooked in tap water. not worth $25 edited next day: i ended up getting sick from the chicken, i threw up and had a stomach ache all night. i didnt eat the beef after a bite so it wasnt that that made me ill. the chicken tasted as if someone sprayed it with chemicals, and unless im dying in the hospital with a note, apparently doordash wont refund me. wont be back

This place has never been all that great. We go here occasionally out of convenience. Never again though. If the B rating from the health department isnt enough to make you steer clear, read on. The first thing that didnt go right was the sprite being broken and the the lack of sweetener for the iced tea. They had sugar, but nothing else. When my tea was eventually refilled, there was no ice so it was warm. The wonton soup is unusually yellow and the wontons have no flavor. When the appetizer we ordered came out there were no plates. When we finally got plates one was filthy. My wife said her sushi tasted off. And finally the fortune cookie my daughter grabbed on the way out the door was already open. One or maybe two things going wrong is fine. This was a lot though for a place that has been open this long.

Displeased with service. Extreme understaffed for a Saturday evening. The waiter wasnt familiar with the drink menu and appeared to be clueless on wine, champagne, and mixed drinks. Wait times for drinks for a party of four was over 15 minutes. Unacceptable! The boot seating had multiple tears. The food was served at a warm temperatur. Our party was extremely disappointed. Had it not been for the cheerful waitress this would have easily been a two star review. Midday on a Saturday, place was practically empty. The booth we sat in was dirty. Although the food was fresh, i couldnt for the life of me figure out why the Tempura dish i ordered was battered with panko? the fish was super fishy. The roll my wife ordered was really good. but over all it just seemed lackluster. My awkwardness with fusion food my be showing through on this review. I have been a regular to this wonderful establishment for a while, well sad to say ownership has changed. Last night I ordered my usual for me and my wife, the wonton soup was half full with a weird smelling brown water and only two wonton when the old owner produced a beautiful clear broth with 4 wonton and the liquid was to the brim. My egg drop soup tasted and smelled like egg foot soup . We ordered beef sticks and we got beef jerky with no flavor. The only thing positive I can say about the food is that the fried rice was mediocre at best. The establishment usually fixes there mistakes and refunds me for catastrophes such as this dinner but when I called, The response was there is nothing I can say we are under a new ownership and he will say the same thing, no offer to refund no offer to reconcile, I would not suggest this place to any of our neighbors in Sienna Missouri City or Fresno, until they increase there food quality and get there customer service back to the way it was.

Oh June 8th, I placed an order at Akashi Missouri city for sweet and sour chicken and the food wasn t edible. The chicken was fried super hard and was so greasy I would be ridiculous to eat it. Ever since this location has gotten new management and a new staff it has gone down the drain. I am so disappointed, because I really loved this place . I am so disappointed that I had to come home and show my child who was looking forward to her lunch that horrible excuse of food. Akashi is one of my favorite restaurants in Sienna. They offer sushi, but I always get the spicy, garlic edamame. I also had the garlic shrimp and a jalapeño margarita. Stopped in with my sweetie after a massage. We ordered gyoza and spicy edamame to start. Seriously the best gyoza Id eaten! Spicy edamame was delicious, the chilli oil was perfect! Completely disappointing! I ordered the king salmon nigiri and it looks like it should have been thrown out. This is how it looked once I opened it and laid it out. The food here is alright. The plating is bad. Why does a seaweed salad need such a big plate for such a small portion? Also the Ahi Tower is not tall a enough to be considered a tower. Its too wide. UPDATE: The food is still good, but rising prices coupled with shrinkflation is taking its toll. I ordered takeout the other day and the sushi rolls are noticeably smaller (i.e., thinner rolls and fewer pieces). Some sushi rolls only had six pieces and mostly all had fewer pieces, but the prices of all were higher. So, I had to downgrade three stars. Ill accept rising prices, as long as they are not astronomical. Ill even accept shrinkflation (a bit less quantity for the same amount), as I understand costs are rising everywhere. However, both inflation and shrinkflation at the same time are not acceptable. Unfortunately, I may have to patronize less frequently or a new establishment altogether. ___________________________________________ Food is always good. Pork fried rice is very good. Have tried several sushi rolls, most were good and have settled on favorites. Will continue to patronize.

Update 03/04/22: I gave Akashi one more try. I thought it was bland and that there is nothing memorable about the food. The sushi has limited taste, the salad has too much sauce and the chicken teriyaki is not unique. I gave two stars since the restaurant to me had no distinguishing qualities in terms of food. ----- I was not impressed with the sushi - it was stuck on the plat and fell apart when I picked it up. The lunch specials have decent portion sizes and the staff are very friendly. I thought quality was low but quantity and presentation of food was good.

My husband and I went to the Missouri City location to have dinner and drinks. The restaurant was not busy-they had plenty of staff however we never saw a waiter/waitress. We waited for 20 minutes and never got a glass of water, no check in...nothing and we decided to leave. As we were leaving, the hostess said Thank you for coming I said we were never served...she didn t apologize and they didn t try to correct the issue. *UPDATE*I have to update my review to 1 star, server asked if we wanted the check but I haven t even gotten my food yet. Then they didn t remember what I had ordered. Took 10min to get water, 20min for the appetizer, we ordered 3 dishes. The first dish came 10min after the appetizer the 2nd dish took another 15min and it s going on 45min and I m sitting here still waiting for the 3rd when the other 2 people in my party are already finished eating Slow slow slow place is half empty and take out orders are taking awhile. Most of their dishes were too sweet. I had to send the eel dish back because it was so sweet, I thought it was desert. I tried one of my friends chicken dish and that was alright. My sushi dish was also ok as well. Basically, I think the food is a little too overpriced for the quality. I dont think Ill be coming back.

I really hate writing reviews like this but I want to let other, as well as the restaurant, know about my experience in the hopes that this doesn t happen again. I used to be a regular at Akashi, love their food, great sushi, and really nice atmosphere until the last time I went. It took about 25 minutes after being seated before the waiter came and greeted us, and mind you, the restaurant was not busy, I counted 9 tables with people (including us). After placing our order, it took another 25-30 minutes for our food to come out, and we barely got our soup before the food came out. The waiter brought the wrong soup out the first time, which happens, but then after asking about appetizers which came with the family dinner specials, we were lied to and said that it didn t come with it. We then asked for a menu again (which took forever) and showed him. After speaking to the manager about this, we found out that he put the wrong order in and charged us extra for the soup and didn t give us the dinner specials. On top of that, I had ordered some sushi rolls and never got them. After enquiring about my rolls, I was told that they were just making them and it would be another 10 minutes because they were backed up so I cancelled those. This whole experience was just unacceptable and sadly I will not be returning here again. On a side note, the food is still really good here and I do enjoy it. It s just the quality of service that made me not want to return.

Love this place. It is our Sunday treat and do takeout. Today I had invited my put of state guests. 14 of us. Doris was our Waitress. Had a great time with always the best food. Our favorite is the lady gaga and Texan roll. Also the crispy duck and Garlic shrimp. The calamari and the spicy edemame to die for. A must go place!

Wifey and our daughter-in-law and I paid a visit to our nearest Akashi. Daughter-in-law enjoyed a bento box with Kung Pao chicken, no rice, miso soup, a California roll and Asian salad, she loved it. My wife got a bento box with some of the best tempura shrimp shes ever had, I concurred while eating a couple of her shrimp. She had Asian salad, no rice and a California roll too. I went with General Tsos chicken, the chicken was a little chewier than I like and not as warm temperature wise and spice level... as I like..... making my dish only 3 stars. the broccoli, rice and egg roll were better than 3. My wonton soup was a four, the noodles were firm but the broth could use more flavor. The service provided by Chris was stellar. Id come back for the tempura shrimp.

Server was nice and soup was good BUT I m a sushi / fish lover and the fish is NOT FRESH at all. I m afraid I m going to get food poisoning later. I was excited to try this place out since I always pass it by and I was hangry but I will def not come back. 4/10 would not recommend.

We went in on a Saturday around 5pm and we re seated right away. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. Everything we had was delicious! We had: Goyza (dumplings) Shrimp spring rolls Shaggy Dog New Orleans Roll Chicken fried rice Beef and broccoli I d love to come back for the lunch specials because the dinner portions are a little pricey ($12 per roll).

It was awesome! The service started off a little slow but once the waitress, Olivia, came it was smooth sailing! The King Lobster Roll is phenomenonal! They have this banana bourbon toffee cake that will make you come in during a snowstorm! I will definitely be back!
