Food is sooo so good. I usually order bangus sisig. Tried their pork binagoongan (which is not in the new menu) and its one of the best. All their food are great. Big serving, 1 order is good for 2-3 people. You have to try it.

Delicious good and friendly service, but definitely needs work! Ill go back for sure. There are only a few things keeping me from giving full marks: -Food comes out very slowly. There was a private event that day along with catering when we were dining, but this can and should be fixed. Until it is, know youll likely need to wait for your food for a bit. (Its worth it in taste at least!) -I had a turon and I am sad to say while not bad tasting it was the worst turon I have ever had. Again, it tasted fine, Ive just had far better. $2 is kinda steep for 1 smallish not very fresh turon. -The music was tremendously loud. They did gladly turn it down at our request, but moving forward even when its slow dont keep your music so loud that people coming in cant hear one another, or hear you when ordering for that matter. I am hearing impaired, but those dining wirh me also thought it was quite loud. With a few tweaks, this place will quickly become a favorite of mine, Im sure. Ill be coming back!

Nestled in a charming corner of the city, Pinoy gourmet offers a culinary experience that tantalizes the taste buds but falls short in the realm of service. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly but soon realized that the service lacked the attentiveness and efficiency one would expect from a gourmet establishment. It took an extended period to have our orders served, indicating a lack of organization and coordination among the staff. Unfortunately, one of our dishes arrived considerably late, disrupting the overall dining experience. However, the culinary offerings at Pinoy gourmet were nothing short of exceptional. Each dish we sampled was a masterpiece in flavor and presentation, showcasing the culinary expertise of the kitchen. The portions were delightfully generous, ensuring that we left the table satisfied and content. While the service may require improvement in terms of attentiveness and timeliness, the delicious food and inviting ambiance at Pinoy gourmet make it a worthwhile dining destination for those seeking a gastronomic adventure. With a more polished service approach, Pinoy gourmet has the potential to elevate its status as a culinary gem in the city.

The sugar rush from the kids party left my family craving something cool and sweet. Walking past Pinoy Gourmet, the sight of halo-halo in the window was a lifesaver! We intended for a quick dessert, but the menu enticed us further. We ended up with a feast - pork and bangus sisig for that smoky, savory kick, ginataang kalabasa for a creamy veggie dish, crispy fried chicken, sweet and sour fish, adobong pusit, and the star of the show - a halo-halo overflowing with colorful beans, jellies, and ube ice cream. Every plate was devoured! Pinoy Gourmet satisfied our sweet and savory cravings with delicious food and great friendly service. Highly recommend!

Located in a new strip mall in Missouri City. I believe more Asian businesses will be opening within the building. The family decided to try out Filipino food as this will be the first except the fast food joint that serves fried chicken ;) When we walked in it was empty except there was one table occupied as we were early (it was after 1130am on Sat). The staff greeted us and told us to have a seat and look over the menu and once ready to order at the counter. Here was what ordered: Pork lumpia - fried thin egg rolls served with sweet chili sauce; these came out piping hot. Not bad but wished there were more filling. Beef pare - this was the family favorite; beef stew with star anise. The stew was savory and rich in beef flavor served over garlicky rice. Fried chicken - the chicken was overfried to the point it was dry. The sweet side sauce did not help too much for us to manage to swallow the chicken Pork sisig - this was an interesting dish as it was minced pork belly mixed with onions and peppers served on an iron cast skillet. The pork was more gelatinous in texture but the flavor was good Lechon (fried pork belly) - I had to laugh at the name of this dish because it reminded me a pokemon named Lechonk so I was eating lechonk (lol). Again this was fried to the point it was dry and served with the same sweet sauce as the fried chicken Fish sisig - dish was the least favorite. It was minced fish served with onions and peppers and placed on top of fried fish skin. The fried fish skin was better to eat than the minced fish. Overall the staff was friendly and the food was served fresh and hot. They brought us more rice for our table. Since this was our first time eating Filipino food, we may not have ordered the most popular dishes but we were adventurous and willing to try it. We will come back to try other items on the menu.

Its under new management and its a refreshing place for 1st timers or for a revisit. We tried most of their dishes and they are all yummy, tasty and delicious. Not salty but flavorful. Makes you feel like its Moms special dish or Grandmas specialty. Serving is enough for the affordable price. The place is cozy and the restroom was immaculate. Owner Ms.Lolit was phenomenal! Very friendly, and extra caring to guests. Phoebe who assisted us made our dining experience very comfortable. Its a great place to bond with family and friends. They also cater to special events if you want to hold parties or karaoke nights there. We highly recommend this place for delish Asian food that is budget friendly too. It s Max s style served with banana sauce (ketchup). Yum! We also tried the Crispy Pata. It s tender on the inside and crisp on the outside. A must try! My husband also loves the beef pares.

I m so glad I visited this place because I think I found the best traditional Filipino food in Houston, right here at Pinoy Gourmet! Tucked away in a shopping center in Sugar Land, TX, this place is such a hidden gem. From Noodles, to Sisig, to Adobo, to Crispy Pata and Lumpia, they have an extensive menu of traditional Filipino selections. Here s what I ordered: -Crispy Pata (deep fried pork leg) -Pork Sisig -BBQ Chicken Skewers -Pork Lumpia -Halo Halo The wait staff and owners here are also really friendly, and in true Pinoy spirit they treat all guests like family! 10/10 love this place will definitely be back

(since the reopen) This place is a hidden GEM in Sugar Land. I will go as far as saying this the best traditional filipino food in houston as of now. The Crispy pata was crunchy and so tender and moist. The bikol express was fatty and flavorful. The traditional dishes are represented too, and they even serve breakfast. You will need a nap afterwards surely.

My mom and I were visiting from Fort Worth, where there s no Filipino restaurants (they re all out toward Dallas or Arlington). So we were super excited when we saw this right across the street from our hotel. The food was great! I got the grilled pork belly and my mom got the bistek. We loved both. My favorite was their suka sawsawan though. We even tried to get the owner to tell us what was in their s lol. I loved that the menu wasn t too big. It s got a lot of Filipino classics, but it wouldn t be too overwhelming for first-timers to Filipino food. We even ended up going the next morning for the Silog breakfast plates.

The flavors are awesome and everything is cooked to order. I found my Filipino food spot to bring my mom. Everything tasted great, fresh, good quality, and reasonably priced! It s so good we ve already been here twice this week So far we tried the pancit canton. It s fully loaded with chicken, shrimp, fish balls, veg, and two lumpias. The grilled squid is one of my favs on the menu. It s a nice balance of grilled flavors with a hint of sweetness. Beef tapa and beef longanisa hit the spot with being cooked just right. Meat was not chewy and it was the kids s favorite. The fish balls were cooked well, had a nice texture, and delicious dipping sauce. Also, I love the mango tomato pico they have on the side. I highly recommend this restaurant! We ll be back for more suture visits. Sobrang sarap!!!

Famous filipino dishes are available and are only cooked once you order ( its not fastfood but the wait time is not bad) maybe a 10 minute wait tops. Clean and an accomodating place with friendly staff. Price is just right and parking was not a problem. You have to try their pancit and halo-halo.

Visited this place because I am always interested in this ype of food. I have to say the interior surprised me it was modern looking, that is compared to other local Filipino establishments that are kind of plain even homey of that is the right word to describe that. This place has a water dispenser though. Haha. All Pinoy restaurants seem to have that. I ordered the pancit malabon ($10) and fish ball skewers ($3). Prices are fair: you do get what you pay for. I do have to agree the flavours are kind of light and could use a bit more salt, but the condiments are right by the counter. Use them. The pancit malabon has thick cornstarch noodles that were done well. Sauce is very good with a the distinctive taste of fermented shrimp paste. Again it was a portion that was satisfying and will fill you up. In addition it comes with two small lumpia rolls. Could use another grilled shrimp though. Fish ball skewers come in a pair of two with 4 balls on each skewer. They were lightly fried and were soft to bite into. They didnt have any bounce and not rubbery at all. I wish the sauce was the a garlic vinegar sauce instead of the bottled sweet chili sauce that came with it. I also had some kwek kwek ($3.50) (battered eggs). They were fine: chicken eggs instead of quail eggs. The batter was crisp, but could use more flavour. The hard boiled egg inside was done perfectly. This is a great place to go, food is done well and is authentic to an extent. Again I must put a reminder that Filipino food usually do not have bold flavours. The food here is representative of that.

Service: 4 Cleanliness: 5 Food: 3 It s unfortunate, I really wanted to like this restaurant. Maybe it s because I never had Filipino cuisine before, like another customer mentioned, the food lacks flavor. The place is very clean though. Crispy pork over rice (lechon kawali):pork was ruined by deep frying because although the skin and fat are crispy, the meat is hard and tough to swallow. They also did not marinate the meat beforehand so it just tastes like oil. They provided a dip, which was also bland, not sweet, not salty, just wet which helped with swallowing the tough meat. I feel like they committed a crime by deep frying the nice pork belly this way. :( Pancit bihon(noodles): hardly any flavor and color, they didn t put enough of the shrimp paste (assuming that s the seasoning) so the noodles just taste plain. It comes with 2 big shrimp and some fish balls, again, not marinated or seasoned. Egg rolls: not bad, very crispy and the meat inside was tender. Although it s quite small (which is why they give you 8 in an order), but it s not something I would crave for.

Everytime I come in and order, there is AT LEAST one item that Im denied because its not in stock/available. Imagine seeing something on the menu that youre craving and then being told they dont carry it; then ordering something else on the menu and AGAIN being denied. Then why is it on your menu? I would be embarrassed if someone came into my restaurant and we couldnt offer them what was on the menu. I understand its hard times - my husband is a small business owner himself, so I can imagine what goes into keeping a business running...but could you not at least make a sign saying what you DONT have that day? Or could someone take responsibility by apologizing to the customer? The only reason we stayed, or dared to come again that day, was because my grandma was wanting filipino soup and there were no other Filipino restaurants in Sugar Land. At least the soup that I settled on was alright...the pork was tough, though. Actually, all the meat we had was tough and not tender as I hoped. The actual broth sufficed because it was a cold day.

Reminds me of the Szechuan water boil fish Breakfast plate with beef and rice 4/5 Tasty with the cut up fruit and veggie kind of salsa to add to it. Without that it would have been too plain. First time I ever had liver in my pancit. The dinuguan is delicious!!! it has crunchy lechon in it. Good flavor texture to it. I took these pictures when I got home.

Truly an honest representation of home cooked Filipino food and in such a convenient location if ur in the area! The price is really fair and inexpensive for the quantity and the quality of food youre provided, I recommend the pancit bihon n malabon and the lechon!!!! If u ever have the chance to go during their special highly recommend the kare-kare one of the best Ive ever had!!!!!!

Family owned restaurant, friendly staff, delicious food. I had the special, Kare Kare with cassava cake. Both were delicious. For dessert I also had the Halo Halo...if you leave Southwest Houston, worth to make a trip.

Nice, spacious, clean and breathable restaurant. Very appealing. Convenient location as well - across HEB along Dulles and Hiway6. Breakfast tapa is served with steam rice (huh? Steam rice for breakfast in a gourmet pinoy restaurant?) Sayang, this was disappointing. You pay 50cents extra for breakfast fried rice! Expected much more from the Halo halo- the ube icecream makes up for the kulang sa laman. Pinoy restaurant not serving REAL mango juice? Another disappointment. Pinoy gourmet owners, look forward to improved and real pinoy food and drinks next time.

My granddaughter told me about this place. She said its close to the house and food is good. I went there earlier today and ordered halo-halo. It was pretty big for one person. It tasted.ok. It would have been tastier if more flavoring was added. Reason for four stars, the place was very clean and well decorated. Great location and affordable. I definitely will come back.

Great staffs! Food is good and inexpensive. I want my Lomi to be thick like malapot and the liver and kikiam needs to be sliced. I will try the beef mechado next time I comeback. Thanks!
