My two stars are valid and here s why. My niece has been attending here for about 2 years and up until recently, everything was going well. She told me how she loved to go and how fun it was. Unfortunately, when she got home today - she did not have that same attitude. A young lady by the name of Ms. Sylvia had told her that she was annoying directly to her face and it obviously hurt her feelings to the point that she had her eyes welled with tears. I feel as though these children are given to staff with confidence that they are comfortable, happy and cared for. To hear this young lady gave such attitude in front of her, is unacceptable. We will continue to allow her to come here but I hope that Ms. Sylvia gets reprimanded for her disrespectful attitude towards my niece because who s to say she hasn t spoken like this to other children.

My family and I love children s lighthouse. We moved here from other children s lighthouse. We always have the best experience with this school. My both girls love their teachers. Owners and management is always very helpful and welcoming. Iam very comfortable to drop my kids here. they are so wonderful and affectionate with children. They really focus on teaching and helping your child grow. The teachers are so involved with the children with art , projects, games and playtime outside. Everyday i get a report and pictures emailed and alone with videos surveillance anytime i want to check in on my kids. I really appreciate teachers are actually teaching them! I highly recommend children lighthouse.

I have worked in childcare for over 22 years and I am proud to say that I have worked for Children s Lighthouse for over 4 years. Our programs combine small group and large group learning, self directed child activities, music and movement, arts and crafts, story time, free choice centers and much more. These activities give children a variety of learning opportunities and experiences each day. If you are looking for an educational childcare program combined with a nurturing environment then look no further. New ownership and leadership of the school have events for the families and staff that make this not only a school, but also an extension of family. I am excited to see the great things to come for this school and the families and community we serve.

Hands down the best daycare. Iam very close to my nephew and usually picks him from his daycare. He never loved going to school more than now! The idea that they put so much effort into each activity for the students and the amount of attention they give each kid is hands down the best. The front staff and teachers make you feel so welcomed. They really take the time to communicate with the parents and guardian to have a good connection, they seriously are the best!!

My daughter has Been going to children s lighthouse a little over a year and I can honestly say it has been fun for her. Miss Haley is patient and fun, Ms T is very welcoming, Ms sharen and Ms sana especially goes above and beyond. All the teachers are very welcoming and does fun learning activity with the kids based on their curriculum. Overall everyone is very professional and welcoming, I wouldn t have it any other way. I highly recommend children s lighthouse school.

Do not recommend. My kids were here 3 years and i didn t have any problems until this past August when they switch directors. My daughter came home bruised in nov. since August they ve had 5 director changes, high turnover. No teachers a new owner. The newest (current) ownerand director are by far the worst. They left my god daughter at school twice in two weeks. Also the last time another parent was complaining about her child being left at another school. My kids are no longer enrolled. For many reasons (payment, staff, management)

Children s Lighthouse has been a blessing to me and my son. The hours are great and the teachers seem to really be involved with the kiddos. My son loves it there. He had a choice to go to daycare or stay home with mom today and he chose to go to daycare! There were a few issues with a couple of kids and a bus driver but we got past it and Jayden still loves going.

Childrens Lighthouse is absolutely amazing!!! Ms. Bre takes very good care of my one and only granddaughter. She is always happy to arrive at daycare. I love the outdoor covered play area and splash pad. The daycare always have different events happening each month.

Assistant director is very rude and wants to keep constantly remind you that she is the Assistant director. Nobody cares that you are the Assistant director if you keep saying and while having a attitude. Obviously communication between management is not on par because 1 thing you say to 1 person the others dont have a clue. Wanted ti register my kids but at this point Ill take my business elsewhere . The last time I was there it was a incident with then trying to find a child on a bus, a mom was up there.

Searching for a new daycare for my child, absolutely refused to give me any pricing information over the phone and insisted that I must schedule a tour to get tuition information. With how expensive childcare can be and everyone s busy schedules, why on earth would I even carve out time to come in if the tuition is out of my budget?

Choosing a daycare facility for your child(ren), can be a very difficult task. I am so thankful for Mrs. Nancy, Mrs. Sharon, Mrs. Makayla(hopefully I spelled it correctly) and her teachers. I feel completely at ease knowing that my child is with the staff here. I would definitely recommend this facility.

I was extremely excited to start my daughter here. Well that was until her first day i let her stay for only two hours. That s because the school has known for a month that she was coming and still did not have me access to cameras. So during the tour it was a child crying so bad never stopped, they said he didn t know English and did that everyday the pregnant teacher looked extremely frustrated that day. So back to the first day, I called to check on my child they said everything was fine. I went to pick her up and the kitchen lady told me the teach can t handle my child because she s PREGNANT. And Nancy or nobody else in that build called me to explain what happened. I called, no answer multiple times or was put on hold. They could have been told me that from the beginning or put the teacher on disability. I ve been pregnant and worked before. Very careless company. It s been almost a month and no one has reached out.

We love Childrens Lighthouse of Sienna! We have a one year old who has been in their care since he was three months, and he loves his teachers and friends there! The owner and director are easily available, the staff is caring and truly enjoy the babies and children in their, and we have always felt comfortable leaving our baby in their care.

Don t send your child here ,this daycare is unprofessional in every way. When I enrolled my daughter I was told I would have camera access but they were going to do away with the cameras eventually because of parents calling and complaining. I should have unenrolled my child that day but I didn t. Then when I asked could I have access until they are gone the Director said I told you we weren t doing that anymore so I said ok and got over it but why would you advertise or mention camera cost fees if you weren t going to give me access at all . My daughter classroom was always freezing cold ,her arms would be so cold every time I picked her up. There s always a different teacher in the classroom , no consistency. I had my card removed my account twice and was still charged without my consent after having my card removed . I was told that they ll work with me making payments but ever so often they would blurt out in-front of everyone that I owed money while other parents/teachers were around which is unprofessional in my opinion . All cost and payments were never handled or discussed in a discrete private manor. I noticed They put babies(15 months) in a chair at the table causing them unable to get up from the chair on their own I guess when they are misbehaving because I witnessed a teacher roughly put one of the kids in the chair while he was crying and push his seat up hard and aggressively saying NO.Those chairs are a safety hazard and have stoppers on the bottom of the legs of the chair , I ve seen my kid fall out of one a few times . They don t do many curriculum or hands on activities with the kids but they charge an additional $100 for curriculum fee. The teachers are on their phones standing around gossiping every-time I pick my child up and they re is a very small selection of toy options that are old and outdated . This place is expensive for no reason at all . They charge 255 a week for a 15 month old classroom but the quality of the daycare alone is . Stay safe ( ;

My daughter attended care here for a year, her last year before preschool. We couldn t have been happier with the care that was given! Unfortunately due to us having moved around a lot, this was my daughters fourth day care center. But I was BY FAR the best! This wasn t what I would be used to calling a day care center. It was a learning and nurturing center. I can t speak enough on how caring, loving, and understanding the staff at Childrens Lighthouse was! The price was also a very reasonable price. It wasn t one of our cheapest options but it was VERY fitting and reasonable given the amazing care that we received! My daughter learned and grew so much while she was there. I could go on and on talking about the great things about children s lighthouse but I will end by saying that Children s Lighthouse is most definitely highly recommended! Truly thankful and forever grateful for my daughter s care and experiences at Childrens Lighthouse.

7/2020 - I was reluctant to place my child in any daycare because he was non-verbal. My greatest fear was for my child to be misunderstood due to it. After my thorough assessment of this location and the warm welcome I got from everyone I knew this was the place for him. We were received with open arms by the Director, Directors Assistant and teachers. I can t thank the teachers enough for the patience they have demonstrated my son and for all the things the have taught my son. Without exaggeration I can say my son after 3-4 months here has demonstrated strides towards his goals. Thank you Children s Lighthouse. 2/2022 - UPDATED REVIEW I am sharing my experience with others, because I understand the importance of having a reliable daycare. As mother with a son with a language delay, it was extremely important for me to select the right facility for my son s childcare provider. I recall, walking into this facility and speaking to the staff and really feeling like this was the ideal provider. It was not the cost, location, facility but the staff that won me over. I truly felt like I had established a partnership - hence the initial review. As my son started school, I saw my son fall in love with the facility and his teacher Ms. Chris. She was very communicative in terms of my sons progress and challenges. I would get ProCare updates, progress reports or in person updates. That all stopped, at the commencement of this year , however I did not think too much of it as the facility was experiencing drastic staff changes. I received a yearly evaluation from his new teacher Ashlyn (former teacher assistant), which was followed up by a meeting request. I was disappointed with the lack of professionalism, approach, and tone of the meeting. In that conversation, we discussed ONLY my sons behavioral issues, and what it seem like my parenting skills. My disappointment in the meeting was not derived from the fact that son was potentially having behavioral issues, but the fact this was never previously addressed prior to this escalation. I can honestly say, I have never gotten any communications from his former/current teacher or Director on this matter prior to this yearly meeting evaluation, which as a parent is extremely concerning. It was also clear to me during that session, that they had little to no knowledge on my sons disorder, which made me extremely disappointed on the facilities communication. The Director shifted the blame on me for not communicating with new onboarded staff. During this evaluation the sole focus was on all the things my son is doing wrong & no positive reinforcement. I expressed with the Director the positive partnership we experienced with my sons former teacher in terms of communication and constant reinforcement. However, the Director was quick to be dismissive and continued to question the former teacher s character. Every recommendation provided, was not received well, but full of excuses and deflection. She refused to accept any responsibility for the lack of communication and partnership from her and the staff but rather put all the responsibility on us the parents. At the end of the conversation, the Director suggested I supply her with any documents or tips to help improve my sons behavior. However, after that meeting, I made the decision to withdraw my son, due to the lack of leadership and inexperienced staff. We are utterly disappointed with how things have drastically changed from the staff professionalism, the class over crowdedness, the lack of communication and the constant staff turnover. Ive also, ran across several reviews from other parents that have had similar experiences with the current staff. This is not to take away from previous leadership and staff that were exceptionally wonderful. I wholeheartedly wish this facility the best, but I will no longer be a part of this place. Hope this review helps any other parents considering this place.

The owners and Director do not take responsibility for their actions or take any constructive criticism they rather tell you it s your fault and show you the the door. My toddlers got sick all the time with serious Upper Respiratory Infections and even with serious skin infections that took 3.5 weeks to resolve. I found out is that they share my kids toiletries with the rest of the classroom. Perpetuating the risk for infection: I seen when the potty lines get long, the caregivers use the same dirty gloves for each kid they are cleaning and do not wash hands in between. I am extremely dissatisfied and horrified with their service. I do not recommend them for toddler or Infant care.

I chose this daycare initially bc it was below my budget and seemed to be of quality. I expressed what my desires were for my child and was told it would be done! Fast forward to today, 2 months later and I am horrified that I chose this place for my child s first learning environment. The Director takes no accountability, she hires her entire family to work here and is bias. I reported an incident to the Director, Nancy and somehow my daughter has severe diaper rash, her belongings grew legs and walked out of the building and the teachers were very rude the day after we mentioned we would be withdrawing our child from this place. I would. NOT recommend this center for infants. The lack of professionalism and communication is beyond me. Everything brought to their attention is deflected onto you as if you re wrong for noticing where improvements can be made. This place is a joke and offers no educational value. STEER CLEAR!!!!!! Everyone of their previous employees have left due to the Director, Nancy and have all had similar horror stories.

This place used to be great and we loved it until they started changing management frequently as well as high teacher turnover. The final straw was when they let an 8 year old hurt my toddler and then asked us to leave as if we had been at fault. Since changing to a new place, my kiddo has not had one sniffle or been yanked to the point of permanent scars on her arms. Not so much of a Lighthouse anymore.

Additionally, they incorporate many outside extracurricular activities (Spanish, soccer, Zumba, etc) to make a well rounded learning center!

I love that Childrens Lighthouse is more than a daycare. They have a great curriculum to help my child learn and grow along with what she is taught at home. They provide many different types of paths for the kids to learn a new subject to make it fun for them. know she will be ready to make the transition to kindergarten in the fall with no problems. I love the staff at Childrens Lighthouse, my daughter started there from 2 months old and I felt very comfortable knowing the teachers in Room 1 were taking care of my baby. As a parent those first months mean alot to a parent just to have piece of mind that your child is in good care and its always been that way for all of her teachers. The fact that there were 3 different directors from the time I toured through the one month my child was there should have been red flags. My 4 month old infant daughter was burned while in their care. Instead of being open and honest about what happened, I was told that they didnt know what happened or how it happened. Although my child had a half circle shaped burn mark on her leg the incident report claimed that condensation from a warm bottle dripped on her leg. Warm water that drips does not leave a half circle burn on a child. I wasnt even notified until hours after the incident and only through a photo and first aid was never given. The teacher that burned by child should not have been allowed back in the classroom until a proper investigation took place but of course it never did. The director claims nothing was caught on the camera footage that conveniently took 2 days to obtain. I understand kids get bumps/scrapes/bruises while in daycare but for an infant who cannot speak for themselves to get burned is completely unacceptable. What made it worse is that the situation was handled wrong from the get-go and no one was honest with me about what happened. I cant speak for any of the other classrooms but DO NOT leave your infant in their care.
