Update sept 7 I placed an average size catering for my family get together. Everyone really enjoyed the food. The food was hot and delivered on time. They also gave me a discount and was patient with me on the phone. I really recommend for catering. Came yesterday night close to closing and happy to be seated. I was afraid they would rush us out. Instead they told us to take our time. The food came out pipping hot. Everything was so delicious from appetizers to mains. Really enjoyed the dumplings and spicy Tangra s masala Chowmein.

Y all I order chicken tangra masala Chowmein and tangra masala fried rice all the time. Literally my favorite. The fact that people don t get why the chicken is red is a little feebleminded it s cooked with red masala and Szechuan. The meat inside is white. Let s not be so difficult

I came from Dallas to visit my friend here and definitely wanted to try Tangra s it was absolutely worth it. We ordered multiple dishes. Everything was delicious we did not have any leftovers. It was a party of seven and we enjoyed ourselves and Michael was our server, he did such an amazing job at making our dinner so fun and easy to accommodate what exactly we wanted for our order! Best part was the food all came out at once and all of it was fresh. No one had to wait definitely will be coming back for more!

We tried this restaurant going with the reviews, no doubt ambuance was beautiful but food was very average we tried kung pao chicken, tangra s chicken and dumplings, kung pao chicken was very very sweet like we are eating sugar in every bite and other 2 had very solid ginger flavor, the thing the annoyed me was THEY DID NOT HAVE CHANGING TABLE in the restroom which made it impossible me to change my baby!

We are a group of 4 celebrating our friend s birthday and one of us tried the buffet and other 3 ordered from the menu. The soup and spring rolls are good in the buffet but the chicken Manchurian, kung pau chicken and sweet fish had more salt and not cooked properly and hard. The egg fried rice and noodles are bland. Buffet is not worth the 24.99 plus tax plus 15% service fee we are charged. So 24.99 plus 23.75% tax . They messed up the steamed momo s we ordered and made a fried momo s when we specifically told steamed, when we asked the waiter about it he said he was pretty sure we ordered fried and we did not like the way he answered rudely even though he said he can change it to steamed later but the way he put the words initially like we were lying was not good at all. Then we got the check which has 15% service fee included in it. Also the dessert we ordered to celebrate my friend s birthday was charged too unlike other restaurants who waive it normally. That is not much of a concern for us but the other issues are. We are surprised to hear we can not split the bill on not more than two cards and the owner said if we pay by cash he would give a 10% discount but the 10% was on the subtotal and the tax and 15% service fee was still added based on the original subtotal, the owner is very intelligent to rip off customers this way too not only by just charging the 15% mandatory service fee. The portion sizes of appetizers are too small and the serving bowls and dishes were not appetizing too. They did not serve water until we asked and no paper napkins too. I am surprised how this restaurant had a 4.3 rating, it might be the staff or friends of staff. Except for few appetizers I feel it is not worth considering the behavior of the staff and service fee of 15% included in the bill even for buffet is something not ok and a rip off. It is charged only for a big group FYI and here there is no service done properly, no water or paper napkins too unless asked, I would not recommend this restaurant and will not go back. Please stay away. This restaurant might not survive longer since they might not have returning customers unless they change these issues mainly service fee, portion size and food quality, only new customers based on the fake 5 rating reviews might go like how we went. Adding this detailed review so that it can help someone.

We got takeout of Singaporean five, gravy chicken Manchurian, and Hakka Chinese noodles. Everything tasted terrible. I don t know if we just ordered the wrong items but not one thing tastes good. The Singaporean rice was supposed to be chicken and had beef in it. Highly disappointed.

There aren t many halal indo-Chinese places in Houston from what I know so I was excited to try this place out. I tried the same items twice just to make sure my experience wasn t one-off. Honestly overpriced for the portion sizes. At a similar restaurant with much better tasting food in Dallas, you don t pay more than $13-$14 for a beef dish, and it s nearly double the portion. Got the chili beef which was OK, but lacked the wow I m used to with this dish at other restaurants. Felt like all of their food lacks salt, and I do think it needed to be spicier especially for chili beef, or at least offer spice levels. I hope management listens to feedback and increases their portion size and decreases their price, as well as adjust the spice and salt levels for dishes. Definitely some potential here.

Its indochinese fusion the lady owner from nepal and her chinese husband is the chef. I plan to go again as their food beside being so tasty and fresh some of the dishes are served by a Chinese lady in a sizzling frying pan. They have tea icecream kulfi n lemonade too. They had a 25$ buffet but we preferred la carte as chinese food we like served right from hot wok to the table. . We went for a buffet for a cost of 27$ per adult the food took long time to be replaced and a very small set of options, the soup was tastless along with two meats out of three available they gave french fries and cheese puffs as part of buffet instead of real food! Really bad experience under staffed and took 2 hours to be able to get in and out due to tge fact that our drinks and food came so late. For this price it is a scam especially that you will get french fries and crab ragoon made with American sliced cheese!

My fav Asian fusion restaurant was Tangra masala in NY (both New Hyde Park and Grand Ave, not the other one near QCM). I absolutely love this place and thankful they opened in Houston. I d love to give this restaurant 5 stars but the price is more even adjusting recent economic conditions. For example, Lollipop chicken is what they re known for and rightfully so, however the difference in price is surprising. For example they serve 4 wings here for higher price than 6 pieces for a lower price in NY (they taste the same!). I will definitely recommend this restaurant and visit this restaurant again but probably not as frequent. My recommendation to mgmnt is to understand the pricing dynamics and market here in Houston, not Manhattan.

The staff was friendly and very respectful. The interior was spacious and clean. The ambiance was beautiful & quiet but the interior was very cold during my visit in January. Parking is shared with other businesses on the strip and is hard to find during peak hours. The General Tso chicken was great but a little too sweet. The Hot & Sour soup was good but not great, it contained cilantro which dominated the flavor. But other than that it was a good lunch for the money.

The prices of the food were less ranging from $10 - $15, which we assumed to be reasonable. Later, when we received the bill that included the service tax 18%, which really shocked us. By reducing the price of the food, they included it in the service charge. After all the restaurants I have dined in Houston, I have never seen service charges so expensive. This is not a good practice and we were really disappointed by this.

Our family came to celebrate a birthday and we had a horrible experience. First they argued a chicken dish was actually beef and the server put his finger in the dish and touched it then handed it back. Then I found hair in my food. The guy at the front argued that it was not their kitchen staffs hair so it s not their problem. First of all the guy bringing the food did not wear a net so it could very well be his. All I know it s not mine (a woman with waist length hair and the HAIRS, PLURAL, found were short (less than an inch). The lady from the kitchen then came when we were offended and apologized saying the manager was traveling but that s not an excuse. There are plenty of options in Houston, it s unacceptable to be treated this way as a paying customer at ANY establishment. If you re deciding to come here I would definitely look into whether their staff is better trained or not. All I know is they ve lost customers for life.

Came here to eat Hakka Chinese, I love the fusion of Chinese and Indian cuisine. The restaurant location is very good, accessible with plenty of parking. The server Umu was very very courteous and smiling every time she spoke to us. We came at the end of the day but she was very welcoming. There was a small heater due to extreme cold weather so that was extremely appreciated. the ambiance was also very nice. Food on the other hand was nothing special, pretty average. We ordered Hakka chilli chicken, which was nothing like the Hakka chilli chicken we have had before in other places. Also, felt a little pricey. Hakka chicken fried rice was very blend, rice was undercooked a little, and every now and then a little ball of salt came in my mouth.

When asking for the check the first and only thing the waiter stated when handing the bill was tip was not included in the bill. Not how was your meal. Incredible flavors and spice. The dry Manchurian chicken is amazing and its great with the gravy as well. Tangras Masala fried rice is also great. Never been disappointed with anything on the menu.
