Was really excited to try this place and it did not disappoint. We ordered the papa with bistec I m not a cheese sauce person, but in this papa it really worked. We also ordered the roasted corn to share, I m regretting not ordering some to go. We tried the bistec tacos, Al pastor tacos, (he had me at with grilled pineapple) and chicharrón tocos. We did a taco swap so we could all taste the different meats. The meats were all tender and flavorful! Will definitely be a place we visit for our taco cravings!

I had an order of the chicharron tacos and they were amazing. They are served with pickled red onions which cuts the fattiness of the chicharron perfectly. On the side I had the mexican street corn. Perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of line flavor. And just let me say that this place has the best charro beans I have ever had at a taco place. I could drink the bean caldo by itself and be satisfied. This place is a must try!!!

I visited this place when I saw a review on their roasted corn!! Let me tell you, that corn was so good! I also tried their tacos of bistec and el pastor and also was impressed! The tacos El pastor came with some pineapple that just gave it a different taste! Yesterday I went again and had their chicarron tacos and I also enjoyed them! This time my boyfriend fell in love with the corn and I know next time to order 2. I strongly recommend it if you want something with flavor. I didn t take pictures of my tacos but I did of the corn!

We tried this place out 07/10/24 and will definitely be returning. The owner greeted us and asked if we we had any questions about the food/menu. We have 2 toddlers and they were hungry and grumpy so we almost didnt order. Im so glad we stayed. We ordered tacos of bistec and pastor and also their double p and street style corn. My spouse is very picky and he enjoyed everything. The meat was seasoned perfectly and the kids loved the beans and papa. My son is a picky eater and doesnt really care for meat. Let me tell you he took the papa away from all of us and actually ate the meat. My heart was so happy its so hard for me to get him to eat. Our overall experience was great. The place was empty when we got there and I believe it was because ppl probably thought it was raining, but I pray God bless them with a lot of business. You can tell they do this with lots of love. Please stop by you will not be disappointed! Let it be known that IVE NEVER EVER had barbacoa for dinner in my life and this will definitely not be the last time. I drove by to pick up an order and made a very long painful drive home because the amazing aroma filling up my truck was torturing me. These tacos were so packed with flavor and that salsa verde is the cherry on top. On my previous review with the bistec tacos, I failed to mention the tortillas!! I dont know what the owner does or how he prepares them, but if youre a taco lover like I am, you should know its very easy to mess up a taco with a bad tortilla when thats the first thing you bite into and this is NOT THE CASE with these. These tacos seriously leave a lasting impression always leaving you craving for more days after. The owners and staff are very attentive, constantly walking around with huge smiles on their faces. Its a rare thing to see these days. All around one of my favorite weekend spots!!

Great selection of food. Served warm and instantly, the atmosphere is simply AWESOME... with plenty of space to seat, in fact, a separate seating arrangement inside a metal container is very cozy, elegant, real cool, clean, with large windows for outside viewing. I ordered the brisket sandwich with a side of Mexican street corn. The brisket was absolutely delicious, melt in your mouth. The Mexican street corn was the best street corn I ve ever had. It has a unique sauce that I ve never had before. The atmosphere was very laid back. There s indoor and outdoor seating. I enjoyed the open, outdoor seating. It started to rain while I was eating but there s covered seating and I didn t get wet at all. Highly recommend this place!!

Truly a unique dining experienc. Read the other reviews regarding how fantastic the food is, this one s about the atmosphere. There are two dining areas, outside in the beer garden or inside with the A/C. There is a very nice beer garden that is more like a family picnic area during the day. During the afternoon there is plenty of shade and seating. One of the hardest things to do with kids is find a place you can eat and drink with friends and the kids not making your life miserable because they re bored. Here, the little kids are able to run around in the center game area and if you have teens, they can sit at their own picnic table and not be embarrassed by their parents. This is a fantastic place to meet and eat with the friends you had before children, and today, let your kids hang and play with each other while you enjoy a fantastic tasting meal. The pride the owners have in their craft is evident in every aspect! For those with motorcycles, this is a perfect ride to eat, eat to ride destination!! Yes ladies, the restrooms are very clean. :) Great food and a unique dining experience!

The atmosphere is super cute. Once the weather cools down, their outdoor area is gonna be a nice little spot to enjoy a beer or two. For now, their air conditioned space is where it s at. The service is great, the food is amazing. We had the brisket nachos, the brisket street corn, burnt pork belly ends , coleslaw, and Oreo cream pie. The brisket was so tender and juicy. The pork belly ends were an explosion of flavor. We can t wait to come back and try everything else on the menu.

Food was really good, the staff are very friendly and answered all of my question. I got the chicken quesadilla with rice and beans, but I asked for double rice and they did it with no extra charge. Really really recommend this place. I stopped with my family to eat some delicious barbecue. Despite it was really packed, the person that took our order was very friendly, great customer service and even offered us a dessert( Oreo Pudding). Let me tell you, it s the best! My fiancé and his coworker had been raving about Smoke Crafters for a good while based off of the ads they ve seen online (really good marketing by the way!) After work one day, my fiancé and I decided to stop by for dinner. We sat in the car for a while looking over the menu, deciding what to get. Everything looked so good, so it took a while. However, we decided on getting the pork-belly burnt ends with their homemade beef fat tortillas, the Dang Quesadilla with rice and beans, an order of the jalapeño-cheddar sausage, and a chocolate-chip cookie. Throughout the entire transaction and ordering process, the owner Jaime was remarkably kind and sparking conversation with us. We decided to wait inside of Kicking Axes for our order, as they have seating for Smoke Crafters customers. With a smile, Jaime delightfully delivered our food inside of the establishment and asked where we were sitting. We told him where and I tried grabbing the order from him, but he insisted on taking it to our table for us- very kind. We ended up taking our order outside, as it was a little loud inside of Kicking Axes. Jaime came over to our table to check up on us and converse a bit more- excellent customer service and hospitality. In regard to the food, ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Without a doubt, the best brisket and pork belly in town, and that cookie WOW! We cannot wait to go back, and you won t either after you go. 11/10 God bless you, Jaime and Smoke Crafters! I finally made it out tonight. Wow the weather was perfect. So glad the storm decided to give them a break this time! Ordering was easy and made me feel welcomed. I was hoping for a sample plate but due to weather, it didnt happen this time. Maybe next time. I ordered half lb of moist brisket and half lb of carnitas. The brisket was very moist. Looking forward to trying the lean next time. Great bark! The carnitas had great spice to them! I would like a sauce with them next time. I have tried my fair share of BBQ in the valley, but I think Smoke Crafters is by far the BEST BBQ in the RGV! Their brisket fries, brisket nachos, and burnt ends are amazing! You can really taste the quality of the meat. Their homemade bbq sauce is so good, and all of their food is just incredible. The manager is so caring and offers great hospitable service. If you re looking for delicious BBQ and great dessert with amazing customer service this is the place for you. We ordered Brisket Sandwiches, the Brisket Quesadillas with Mac & Cheese. The Sandwiches for starters, wow 10/10. We re from Houston and have tried many BBQ spots, but nothing comes close or can compete with the flavor of Smoke Crafters BBQ. The mac and cheese was delicious and creamy. Now the quesadillas, I was a bit skeptical because I m a regular chicken quesadilla type of person but this was a game changer. Absolutely would order again every time. It comes with a side of rice and beans and those alone were delicious. We ended our meals with the pudding and honestly all I kept saying when trying each of these items was WOW. The pudding was so good and tasted homemade unlike many that tend to have the prepackaged flavors. I visited Smoke Crafters as part of the TX BBQ Trail. Smoke Crafters so far has been one of my favorite stops of the 50 on the trail. The food here is very good and they have a large variety to choose from. This place is set up for entertainment and poised to become a hot spot for locals in the afternoon. There is plenty of seating both indoor and out. I ordered pork belly burnt ends, a huge soft pretzel, and their beef tallow cookies. It was all amazing. I met the owner and could tell he was a genuine person who is pouring his soul into his business. Lastly, the prices here make this place a gem. Their prices are below average while the quality of the food far exceeds expectations. I have a list Ive been slowly making of must return to and Smoke Crafters is on it. In order to be on the BBQ Trail, you have to be invited. When you eat here, youll immediately know why that invitation was extended to them. Parking: Plenty of parking. Kid-friendliness: Large outdoor seating area and places to play games while the parents relax.

This place was amazing! We were looking for a good BBQ place that was open on Easter weekend (and wasnt Rudys lol) and smoke crafters came up. Theyre on a plot of land that theyve decorated really well and have outdoor and indoor seating, bbq is always expensive but they were charging very fair for the price just wish the sides were a little bigger. My favorite dish was the burnt pork belly ends PLEASE try them! And theyre beef fat cookies were amazing too. Im a very picky eater as I usually make all homemade meals, but Ill definitely put this on my list when I dont want to cook. This place probably looks amazing at night as well so please go check them out if you want good food and a good time, really friendly staff also! (Ps. They also have a points/rewards system which is a bonus)

Love the food, the brisket is just as good if not better than Terry Blacks in Austin. The brisket sandwich and brisket quesadillas were amazing! Definitely wanted more at the end of the meal. Fries and their homemade cookies were also delicious! Wasn t a fan of the Mac and cheese though. However, the rest of his food is great and they were very friendly. Hope they add more open days.

This is by far the best place for BBQ. The food is tasty, the beers are cold, the ambience is great. I had the carnitas sandwich with coleslaw. Both were very good. Great bbq served food truck style! Nice outside patio atmosphere. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Food was hot, fresh, and tasted great with some awesome bbq sauce. Customer service is outstanding, the wind had flipped our plate and we lost our cheese sauce. The owner noticed and brought us out a fresh side of cheese sauce for our pretzel.

The Sausage Sundae is delicious !!! The jalapeno cheese sausage is made in house and its flavor isnt overwhelming nor spicy, its just right!!! It is accompanied by carnitas, Mac and cheese, and potato salad. All the sides compliment the sausage well. I also tried the Street Sweet Corn with cotija cheese and their own blend of Mayo, super good!!! The pretzel was soft and delicious !!! The tortillas are made with beef fat and were super soft as well. The strawberry shortcake pudding was AMAZING!!! Like a cheesecake but better! The mojito is an awesome refresher! All in all, the service was Great and will definitely come back to try more!!!

For the first taste of the menu we ordered the sliced brisket plate (point side), sweet tea and banana pudding. Brisket was very moist, medium smoke flavor, nice bark and good flavor. Did not need BBQ sauce. For the Hidalgo Cty area this has one of the best sliced brisket. Loved the crispy on the outside but tender inside waffle fries. We appreciate a really good brewed tea - it was fresh, just perfect on sweetness and dark rich tea flavor. Banana pudding was... well lets just say I had to fight for bites with the wife. It was a treat!

For being there for the first time, I loved it! I was looking for a place with some brisket and was recommended by a friend. Wow!! The brisket sandwiches were awesome. Tried as well some other items from the menu and everything was good. The owner (Jaime) was very helpful and listened on what I wanted and suggested sides that would make me enjoy my meal. The staff was very helpful and friendly as well. Highly recommend the place for their air condition dine in and outside seating area when cool outside. Well be going back soon to try the ribs.

There are some places where you can tell the owners have poured their hearts, soul and sweat into them. This is one of those places. My boyfriend got the brisket sandwich, and I ordered the half-chicken. The brisket was tender and flavorful from the mesquite used to cook it. The chicken, too, was moist and a lot bigger than I expected. It was our first time going, but we really enjoyed the layout and cleanliness of the indoor and outdoor dining areas. While the food alone is worth the trip, it s the attentive and courteous customer service experience coupled with the immaculate facilities that have ensured a return visit.

Great outdoor place for a brisket sandwich & a beer. This place is great to take your small children too. They have tender and juicy brisket sandwich. The BBQ sauce is awesome..not too spicy or smokey..perfect balance of heat and sweet! They serve the brisket sandwich dry and you get to add the bbq sauce amount your heart desires! Great Mexican style corn. No opinion on the Mac and cheese. Potato salad is kinda bland. The spare ribs are good, nice subtle sweetness, but not as moist as Id prefer. The brisket loaded fries are good, great texture on the fries, nice and crispy, albeit a little light on toppings. Jalapeno cheddar sausage was served luke warm, therefore the cheese was no longer melted. The heartbreaking part of my visit, the brisket, it dissolved in my mouth into a mushy/grainy consistency. Apparently thats how all their brisket is made. For comparison, check out Teddys in Weslaco, or GWs in San Juan for a much more satisfying brisket. Maybe I just visited on an off day, but it is what it is.

Loved this place. I had tried them years ago in their food truck format, elsewhere. And liked them then too. But this new establishment looks good on them. The food and service are awesome. I enjoyed everything we tried, and now I look forward to return and try other things. If I can give them more starts I would. Hope they continue to do well and expand. Need more brisket in my life! If the owner, Maria, is available, then definitely take some time to talk to her--she is exceptional and very kind (as is her husband, the smoke master)! Tried it for the first time, I was told they just re-opened. Had a few issues but none with the quality of the food. Half chicken was flavorful, juicy and tender. Burnt ends were amazing and packed with flavor. The brisket sandwich was delicious and the bread was so soft and made the sandwich great. For sides we had potato salad and street corn, both were good. The experience will improve as they get their flow back but still very much deserving of 5 stars.

Once you ve been here once you ve got to come back. I ve recommended my coworkers and family and they fell in love with their menu! I especially love how very few ingredients go in the products but when your chewing the food the flavors of the brisket (for example) explode in your mouth. Theres got to be the most tiniest brisket sandwich Ive ever seen literally looks like a slider. You know those buns that you might H-E-B that come eight for 99 cents This Hass to be that bun. I didnt know that the corn is meant to be served cold if its street corn I mean it was literally room temperature.. I guarantee you it wasnt more than 2 ounces of corn I thought this was a barbecue place this is more of a taco type stand its not a plate. The big sign out front says. BBQ . Food is great!! Plenty of options to choose we ve had them all, but the birria quesadilla is definitely our top choice. The drinks are unique and so good and the deserts are amazing especially the chocolate chip cookie baked fresh and so yummy. The outside experience is awesome with the tables, dimmed lights and it s cleanliness. The staff is great always attentive always checking up on the tables to make sure everything is ok and the owners, Jaime and Maria are simply great people, they personally go to your table to make sure your experience at Smoke Crafters is a great one.
