Hmmm. Not sure what to think. I was expecting smoked brisket and it was drowned in bbq sauce. It had a smoke ring but may have been finished in a roaster oven. Kind of like what you expect at a church brisket plate sale. Pulled pork was ok Fajitas looked like fajitas Mac and cheese was good so was the corn Chips and guacamole was also good Arnold Palmer good Next time I come I ll ask for brisket, sliced no sauce. We waited for a Togo box from our server then from what could be manager/owner. Just asked a 3rd person for a to go box, not even our server and she also did not come through. Finally our original server brought the boxes. 23min for a to go box. We paid our bill and left. I will try this again because I know this is not a good review for them but I am honest about the reviews I give. See you soon.

Tried this place for the first time ever. The place is nice cozy felling walking in . We ordered two plates of 3 meats My plate had 2 sides of brisket and one sausage. The brisket serving was small I did not like that it also came smothered in bbq sauce the sauce was too sweet and the meat was sliced so thin it was almost shredded. My side were potatoe salad and that tasted like the one you buy at a grocery store. I also had the beans with rice and for that they charged me 1.65 extra even though they brought me rice n no beans. The rice was good only thing I enjoyed. My husband got a 3 meat plate as well he has brisket pulled pork n fajita pulled pork was also in a bunch of sauce and fajitas took forever to get and we re still cold. His sides were macaroni and cheese which you can tell came out of a box the craft Mac n cheese box and was watered down no taste at all. Over all we didn t enjoy the meal but the prices are pretty decent here.

Omg! Hit google maps up for bbq near me and ended up here! The staff was so helpful and kind. The FOOD?! Omg!!!! Delicious scrumptious and melt in your mouth fantastic! Hot and ready in minutes. Mesquite bbq flavor was delish! Took brisket, sausage, ribs, chicken, and baked potato and WOW! Definitely best in mission! Best in RGV Didn t care much for the bbq sauce as it tasted like ketchup . The worst brisket I ever had in my life. This taste exactly like the microwaveable brisket they have at HEB in its store brand thats microwavable its totally fake. Its like the wedding brisket they serve in a crock pot. Potato salad is totally not homemade It tastes exactly like the one in HEB thats already made in a square container. The mac and cheese is for sure box mac and cheese. Its not homemade and its disgusting. I dont even know how this place even stays in business. Stay clear away from this place. Its totally fake. And they overpriced everything just to give you stuff thats already pre-made. Its not even rebrisket or real potato salad or mac cheese. The fajitas are the worst Ive ever tried. This is the second time they charge too much for a dish. The dish costs 11.90 and today my husband went and they charged him 14 dollars. When he came and I saw the note, which came inside the bag, either they are charging the tip like a macho or what is happening, the first time, a man helped me, he told me 13 dollars. Ok, I gave them, but when he came back he told me, maam, there were 12, excuse me. Ok, pass it on and dont leave a comment, because I apologize, but what happened today is really shameless. How about I only had 12 exactly and the waitress at the Drive tru charging me 14. Its my decision if I left her tip.

Come to this place on the recommendation of Ernie youtuber I follow. Where do I start? The time to place our order took a long time. I tried to order a little of everything based on the reviews I read. I ordered 1/2 lb of brisket, 1/2 of fajitas, 1/2 some small ribs, quarter leg of chicken and sides rice, beans and potatoe salad. My sister ordered lamb ribs? Potatoe salad and green beans. First of all why put BBQ sauce on the brisket? I never ordered with sauce. The brisket tasted as if it was oven made. No smoked flavor and 100% grease. The fajitas tasted as if they just cut the cow in the kitchen strong blood flavor. The small ribs had shreads of meat all bone and chewy membrane. The chicken was extremely dry and also in BBQ sauce. When people drown meats in sauce what are they trying to hide? The lamb ribs my sister ordered were also full of greasy membrane and bits of meat. They took a long time to bring out food to table. They fed their regular customers first we noticed. The meal was not cheap $77.00 for the so called BBQ. Im thinking this BBQ is prepared Mexican style. Which is great if that is the type of BBQ you like. I prefer sticking to Rudys type of BBQ. I dont understand why the owner would bring that plate out to sale to customers? Well this $77.00 will be the only money coming from my pocket.

Love this place. The meats are non comparable!!! You can tell they make these meats with love and passion. You can tell this is genuinely family owned and they care a great deal about their customers. The only reason I dont give 5 stars is because of the sides. The fries seem like frozen ore-ida right out of the bag, just seasoned. The mac&cheese seems to be kraft but maybe they add some of their own cheese to. I just expected better mac&cheese from a BBQ spot. Nonetheless, still love this place & I come for the meats and the amazing staff.

Been here 6 times. How can this place be packed when literally everything they serve has little to no flavor. Watered down macaroni. Dry chicken. I get it. It s a hole in the wall kind of place but seriously. And they need real salt and pepper shakers. And at 15$ a plate why is it coming in small styrofoam packaging. And the waitresses only bring you one drink. Refills are a myth here.

My favorite bbq place in the valley. Great friendly service always. And the food is always perfect. The staff and owners are awesome always very friendly. Highly recommend this location has a very home type feel that makes one feel at ease while enjoying their amazing food.

Food was amazing. We had a reservation for 11 people. Table was ready when we arrived. Service was very nice, the Waitress did a lot of joking with the table, which made for a light atmosphere. Very attentive. The Gaucamole was some of the best Ive had, the chips were homemade and fresh. Pico was delicious also. As for main meal, I chose the 3 meat option, which was very affordable in comparison to a lot of places. $13.49 I believe was the price. Out of the many choices, I chose the brisket (which was delicious, but not the tenderest I had), the Fajita (melt in your mouth, nicely seasoned, amazing), and Cheddar and Jalapeno sausage. I know sausage is sometimes a forgotten option at a bbq spot, but it was the star of the show for me. Cooked to perfection, casing had a nice snap to it, and just the right amount of spice. Sides I chose were coleslaw and onion rings, which were both delicious. Their Iced Tea was amazing, and I loved that it came in a giant mason jar. No need to pester for refills! The ribs were enjoyed by many, and the smoked chicken breast was large enough for two meals. There was not a single complaint from the 11 of us. Would certainly visit again.

After someone recommend this place to us we tried it last night. We had baby back ribs, brisket and chicken. All three where very taste . Their sauce is just light and tasty, just a little sweet and light tang. And the price is really decent.

Great food in a perfect setting. The service is fantastic. 492 BBQ should be on everyones list of restaurants to try if youre in the area. Limited quantities of ribs so place your order for dine in a day in advance.
