Lived in Middle East for a few years. I d say this is ok. It s just one visit. Chicken shawarma was dry. The biryani was good. Pita bread was not good and a disappointing serving of just one for the price. Hummus was ok. Overall, the experience was ok. Not bad. Not good.

I love this place. Last time I was there the owner let me try a potential new menu item he was working on. Similar to animal style fries from in-n-out but way better in my opinion. Highly recommend trying them if you see them on the menu in the future!

Amazing halal joint in Midland/Odessa area, visited here on my way to dallas and the owner was very helpful and food came out fast. Highly recommend to anyone looking for halal food. Try the platters, shawarma, and milk chai was excellent.

Today, my husband and I enjoyed our delicious meals with lamb meat. I recommend giving them a try it was delicious. While there, we learned a little bit of interesting things. It was a cute little restaurant in a plaza mall complex. Dietary restrictions: We had it served over lettuce instead of rice because we eat keto.

Authentic, Home cooked feeling type of food and the seasoned rice is lovely. However, pretty expensive given the portion sizes. The beef came with a good amount of meat but the lamb not so much. Tabbouleh portion was pretty small given the $7+ price. Happy to support local and glad we gave this place a try.

Wanted to eat here but when I went in, they said that there was basically no food. They were out of two of the three things I wanted to order. Who has a restaurant with no food to serve? Pretty bad. They only had one worker for the entire restaurant during the lunch rush and it showed. Took about 30 minutes after ordering to recieve very disappointing food. The gyro was cold, wet, and soggy. The Pita bread was falling apart due to the excess of the watery tzatziki sauce. The meat was cold. I will say that the fries were tasty. Not coming back.

I am really disappointed. The food was bland and not really good. I really wanted it to be great I saw a review on YouTube and made me have high hopes and this was mediocre. I ordered a ginger pineapple tea and they said they are out so they gave me a peach Lipton tea because they wouldnt give me a refund for the drink because I didnt want the cheap Lipton tea. So yeah pretty bad over all for the cost and service and bland food.

Wow- what a gem! We tried this place for the first time with my family and we re blown away. We tried all the sides- baba ganoush, hummus, tzatziki, pita, falafel, and could not stop eating it. Lots of vegetarian options. Everything was so flavorful and authentic. I asked my 6 year old what his favorite thing was and he said all of it . The guy at the counter was efficient and knowledgeable. The food came out fairly quick- within about ten minutes. Highly recommended - can t wait to come back! Edit to add: try the Turkish coffee- I got mine sweetened. Caffeinated and delicious. I discovered Heroes Meals about 3 months ago, during which I have been in Midland most of the time. Ince discovered, and while here, I have been at least once a week. Love the Chicken Shwarma and crave the Iraqi Kabobs: delicious. I am a big fan of the biryani rice, which is a great combo with the shwarma. The Iraqi coffee, strong with cardamom is excellent. I have even tried the kabob over the Fatoush Salad and it was great. Many happy returns.

I like hunting for great Mediterranean food so spending time in Midland is no different. I have now been to Heroes Meals 5 times in 3 weeks, generally eating in and taking some home. 3 times have had the Iraqi kabobs 3 times and they are excellent, 5 star by themselves. Today I tried the babaganouj and that may have been the best I ever had. I liked that they did not 100% mash it up, but that they relied on the flavors and seasoning to still enhance each other while still knowing you are eating very good eggplant. I also tried a special for the day, a steward Lamb Shank. Excellent. Folks, this is good food for you, supremely tasty and you need to give it a try. Now, I have seen reviews that gave a 5 star food review but because they were not in a stand alone restaurant gave it something less, which was rubbish for them as it would be here. 5 star and still exploring more menu items.

I was pretty disappointed about this place. I was looking forward to trying it and getting my fix since there arent many Mediterranean options out here. Growing up on this food my dad being from Lebanon, I was expecting a mouth full of flavor. It wasnt the hummus that was blan. The beef Shawarma was awful, and the fact it was dill pickle used and not the right pickles threw me off. I was sad they had no Taboli, if they had a grocery store that supplied me all I needed to make my own I would. I hope this place gets better in adding flavoring, and I know they are trying their best Im not trying to be rude just giving an honest opinion maybe it was an off day for them, I might give it another shot in the future. Just wasnt what I was expecting when I wanted a taste of home.

This place is just on point. I love the food, drinks, setting, and the staff that are just as interested as you are. Sounds funny, but, if you have questions about food and culture, they are ready to open up and share! We were welcomed like family by Sharif and company! We had kebab and gyro dishes with saffron rice, fresh pita, and the most delicious dolmas and tzatziki; everything was amazing! They also have a house-made black cherry soda that was remarkably good. Large portions, keto dishes, and a wonderful combination of flavors and warmth. Well be back frequently! I got the beef Gyro over rice. It was seasoned beautifully and not dry at all, which is an issue I have seen at other places. The baba ganoush had a great lemon garlic fragrance with a hint of char. Hummus had an amazing nutty flavor, even though it was a bit on the grainy side, but I would still order it again. I got Garlic sauce on the side. I highly suggest pairing it with the beef. Skip the hot sauce. I think its just Franks or some other vinegar style hot sauce, but I just got it out of habit. All in all, this place delivers with flavors and I would recommend it to my family.

Had beef over salad as an entree and shared hummus and pita bread and fries. The salad was excellent with just the right amount of dressing. The hummus was incredible and was generously dipped. Pita bread was warm, soft, and fluffy. Went back and had a Lamb Gyro wrap and fries. Gyro was also excellent and despite being packed and super flavorful, was not a messy eating experience. Fries are fresh as can be and salted just right. Highly recommend and the Gyros and salads are a good choice. Have to go back to try their entree versions with rice and some kebabs.

I don t have a lot of experience with Mediterranean food but this place was delicious! It was definitely an experience for my mouth hole. The wife had the chai tea and I had the ginger pineapple. So so so refreshing on a hot day like what we ve been having. The lamb gyro was savory and not too salty. The portions were filling. I asked what Halal meant and the gentleman at the counter graciously explained it to us. I m always glad to learn something new. Speaking of learning, there are cool lil framed signs that have random facts about food hanging throughout the space. There is a very nice ambiance about the place. I can t wait to try the whole menu!

Visible mold on the baba ganoush we received in our to go order, and not a small amount of mold. They also gave us the wrong order (which was minor compared to the moldy food we received). Refunded us for the wrap we never received, but only offered us a discount with a value of $4 for the moldy food and one apology at the end of a 10 minute conversation. We were not comfortable eating $70 worth of food due to the clear lack of quality control. The response to serving moldy food was unacceptable.

Just finished eating here. First of, it s about time that Midland got a Mediterranean Restaurant, so that s a big plus. I ve been flying through here for 9 years and this is the first time to see a Mediterranean option on Google maps. Well done. Now for the food. To be fair, I m spoiled by all the good Mediterranean restaurants in the DFW area, so take this with a grain of salt - or some garlic sauce and Tzaziki, lol. I ordered the Lamb Gyro over Saffron rice, with the side choice of hummus and a salad of Tabouli, and Iraqi tea. The first impression was that for the price, the portions were ok, maybe a tad small, but that s ok. I was a bit surprised that it came in plastic containers and we weren t initially provided with utensils, which would be an immediate service improvement. The gyro meat didn t taste very strongly of lamb, but was nicely seasoned and certainty not bad. It was on top of the rice with some tomatoes and yogurt sauce. The saffron rice was good, and I chose to mix it with the hummus, which turned out nicely. The hummus itself was a tad bland, but definitely not bad. It favors those who aren t into as many spices - like the hummus with paprika on top that I had last night in Dallas. The tabouli - which is a favorite dish of mine - was the biggest letdown as it was reasonably expensive for the amount in the plastic bowl, and also a bit bland. A bit more lemon juice or something would help it tremendously. Overall, it s probably three and a half stars for me, but I m giving this a four instead of a three, because it s currently the best Mediterranean food at a restaurant in Midland or anywhere nearby and perhaps it will improve as they get established. Regarding the Iraqi Tea - it basically tasted identical to the Earl Gray tea I had back in Dallas before the flight.

This place is NASTY!! I had to put a star it deserves none. They put pickles in everything I have never seen that at any Mediterranean restaurant Ive been to, even the pita bread. Everything taste boiled. Save your money eat elsewhere.

Love this place! I crave the hummus and I am obsessed with the pineapple ginger tea. Everything is yummy, love the grape leaves, falafel, fattosh, pita, baklava... EVERYTHING. the people are great and service is awesome. we come here several times a month!

BIG MISTAKE. We wanted to try something new. We have had great Greek food in other cities. NOT HERE. No flavor, virtually no meat, out of chicken at 11:45. Limited drink selections so we chose water. HOT bottled water. Ordered Fries, only thing we ended up eating. They were frozen fries not well cooked. Dont waste your time or money. We left the food on the table instead of cleaning up so they could see we didnt eat.

This place is excellent for vegans! Amazingly fast service and delicious vegan food. We got the masha with a free side of baba ganush, the falafel sandwich was excellent as well. Highly recommend the vimto drink which is concentrated grape juice and sparkling water. Love this place-we will be back.

Great falafel! Hummus is absolutely the best, this is so far and above the grocery store! You will never go anywhere else. Iraqi Tea was perfect with the meal. We ordered extra food to take home after the dining in, it was so good. Great service. If you want to be transported to another continent without leaving Midland! Visit this place.

My wife and I love Mediterranean cuisine and finding Heroes here in Midland was a real treat. It s spectacular and I haven t had anything that I didn t like. The shawarma dishes are excellent. Do yourself a favor, be generous with the fresh hummus and tzatziki on your food. Lastly, do not forget to try their Falafel and Baklava!

This was my first time dining here as well as the first time I had this kind of food. It is out of this world!! We unknowingly arrived shortly before they usually close for the afternoon but they insisted that we stay and have lunch. It was an exceptional experience. Ive gone two times and I have loved it more each time. The service is always incredible, they go above and beyond to help you and serve you. The place is really clean and they have everything in the front counter to make your meal even better. Last time I ordered online and the order was ready in like 10-15 minutes. Please do yourself a favor and try the teas, the ginger pineapple was amazing and refreshing on a hot day. The Philly wrap was delicious and very filling and the fries were also amazing... Not too salty but still a lot of flavor. I really want to try the hummus next time and definitely will. Try something different and give this place a try you will not regret it.

This was a rare find but a delightful find. Was in Midland for business and happen to stumble upon this place. Only reason it did not receive 5 stars was due to the fact that their bread is store bought, and not made fresh like every other Mediterranean/Iraqi restaurant I have frequented. But dont let that stop you from enjoying their food.

For a place like midland its a decent place. I just wish shawarma plate was more flavourful. I was dissatisfied the second time i ordered on the phone. The tea was not sweet and the food was cold.
