The Meza platter was great. I ordered the grill platter which came with rice and green beans. It was delicious with plenty leftover for another meal. The food and company were so good, I forgot to take pictures. Will have to go back again and take some pictures.

I came here on May 18, 2024. It was my first time coming to Cafe Medi and...wow! Holy smokes, 10/10 on everything. The service was amazing. Our waitress was so so sweet. We were unaware they closed after lunch to prep for dinner and were going to leave to find somewhere else to eat, but she sat us anyway (what a doll!) The food was phenomenal. Hot, fresh, and supremely tasty. Portions were very generous. Everything was prepared with such love and you could tell. There wasnt a single thing I ate that I didnt absolutely LOVE. I couldnt have asked for a better birthday lunch. I will most certainly be back!

We have been customers of Cafe Medi for years. Food and service has always been outstanding. Everytime we have visited, there has always been gnats flying around or table regardless where we have sat. Today was the last straw when we were swarmed by half a dozen gnats and one landed in my glass of wine. Please fix the gnat problem that has been a constant issue!

Local gem!! There s a reason this place has been a staple in the NRH/Hurst community for so many years. I ordered the vegetarian plate to go and it was basically a sampler of many different traditional dishes. I subbed out the dolmas for gyro meat and for my soup/salad choice I opted for tabouli! Service was fast, attentive, and personable. Can t wait to come back!

We had dinner here tonight and it was all great! The live music was the cherry on top. The food reminded us of our parents cooking! We started with the fried cheese which was so yummy. Our entrees included the Mixed grill, the Meza plate, the Pastitso and the Moussaka. All really lovely. The service was also very attentive, and not intrusive. We visited with each other after our meal without feeling rushed. We also enjoyed the BYOB. We will be back. Thank you for a great dining experience.

The food is horrible and it s not what it used to be. The Shawarma sandwich is even worse and over priced. $I paid $$12.95 for each Sharma sandwich without anything not even the fries or anything. Service is a subpar, and our waitress was sitting with the restaurant owner/manager all the time we were there without any consideration that you have customers to serve. The soup lentils was not related to lentils soup at all and was horrible and disgusting. Our waitress even overcharged us for soft drinks. We did not even order and we discovered after our credit card was charged. I don t recommend this place at all and will be my last time to go there.

Food was average. The tenderloin was cooked correctly, Med Rare...but was not seasoned at all. Plain white rice, canned green beans, the grilled vegetables was onions and peppers on a flat top grill. Four of us stepped in for a late Sunday dinner. Not crowded, but several tables were full of happy people. The menu offered a wide variety of Mediterranean dishes. We began with dips and fresh pita bread. My wife decided to try the Moussaka. Our daughters split the Cabbage Rolls trying something new. (Theyre regulars.) I ordered the Shawarma combo. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their choice. And to top it off, the portions left us filling to go boxes! Great evening! We will definitely be back!

Outstanding Mediterranean food! Our favorite is to simply bring a bottle of wine (Protip it is BYOB), sit on the patio and have appetizers. We really like the Mezza plate. The falafel is also very good. The pitas are warm, homemade, and fresh. For dessert, we typically enjoy the baklava, which is perfectly made, sweet, but not too sweet. Highly recommended!

Okay, you just hung up on me so I will complain here! Gave 2 starts instead of one because the food is great but when I picked up order just now, the soup and salad was put in thin paper bag upside down so that it would leak all over my car seat costing me a $130 detail. I am 99.9% sure this was done on purpose. Great job, lady! Im calling YOU out! I couldnt find the chicken because you put everything in the bag upside down on purpose so I had to dig through the salad to find it! You hung up in my face before I could tell you about the catastrophize that YOU caused in my car! Moral of the story, great food, but total Karen as a server/ drive through operator. This place has wonderful authentic tasting Greek food. We started off with a Meza Plate as an appetizer, and it was just delicious. For an appetizer, it s quite large! We then ordered our meals, a Vegetarian Plate and a Greek salad substituting the regular side salad. I can t quite remember the entree the person I was with ordered, but I do remember that she got a Lemon Rice Soup to go with it. All were delicious! We had plenty of leftovers when we were finished.

Mixed experience . Food is great but service is not good. Dine experience is better but take experience is horrible due to poor packaging and inconstancy , food like pastitsio do not fit properly in styrofoam box, had spillage on my take out, hostess did not packed food properly - one server running around handling rush hours. Also, we received only three meat piece for the sul. Beef O.o. really? Note to the owner, hire more server during rush hours and get a proper packaging containers.

We ordered cucumber sauce and I had my wife pick it up. However, when she arrived, there was confusion about the name since there are 2 sauces that sound the same. When she got home with the sauce, it was runny and the wrong sauce. My complaint was not with the miscommunication, but when I called back the lady was quick to blame my wife and when I asked if we could come and exchange it, I was told they were now closed until 5! I asked for help saying our food was already on the grill and she replied that the manager had already covered everything. How hard can it be to uncover and recover a sauce? Fortunately, another restaurant came to our aid and we got the cucumber sauce no thanks to Cafe Medi!

In the past, I would have given this restaurant 4 stars. Tonight I was so disappointed with the wait staff that I ll think twice before going back, despite the excellent food and quick work coming from the kitchen. Our young waitress was training a new waiter, and she spent a great deal of her time scrolling on her phone and chatting from their personal drink table- right across from us. She was very vocal about getting better tips when she wears make up- I can tell you she would have gotten a bigger one from us if she could have been bothered to refill our water. She mentioned when some customers came in that they were adults, perhaps the real issue here is that my husband and I look too young to bother serving.

Going to Cafe Medi is like walking into the Greek Islands out of the heart of the D/FW Metroplex. The menu is filled with grecian delights, and each dish is prepared with authentic Greek techniques that make you feel like youre somewhere on the Mediterranean. From the hummus and pita bread appetizers to the Lamb shank to the soulvliki beef, everything was cooked to perfection and served piping hot with generous sides of green beans and rice. And dont let me forget about the tomato basil soup, which is the star of the meal!

Food awesome. PRICE HIGH! I had a Zues burger protein style in lettuce no bun, no fries, subbed side salad not Greek salad but a basic no thrills salad to replace fries, and they charged me $2.95 for the salad on top of the $12 for the burger without a bun and without fries...so I paid $15+ and had to add tip for this lean meal. Food tasted amazing, but I will never choose to eat here for a burger at that high price. They nickel and dime you (dollars) actually for everything. Disappointed

The service was quick and very friendly. We split the vegetarian plate as an appetizer, the babaganoush and dolmas were some of the best Ive ever had. The gyro meat in my wrap was soft and juicy, the veggies and fries fresh and crispy. The avgolemono soup is tangy, with rice that is tender but not mushy.

Food here is amazing, never had an issue with food however this is our 2nd time going 45-50 minutes even prior closing and they are already closed. It would be a good idea to change your hours if your no longer going to be working after said time online it makes your customers not want to visit this establishment due to the fact you are not honoring your business hours

Great gyro meat, totally tender. The moussaka was legit, the mixed grill is excellent if you re hungry, their cabbage rolls are incredible too. The lamb shank was friggin great, the service is impeccable, all waiters wait on all tables This was our third visit , great every time
