Thank you Misty for taking the time to show us around and even educate us on the native plants, bees, and animals. We loved our little visit so much. We will be back just because of you. The nature center is kid friendly, clean, educating, and has so much more than just trails! Can t wait to come back.

We are from Ohio and wanted to see the nature center displays. The building, housing the exhibits, was closed with a sign say they were working in the garden. I did see people inside the locked building. I wish they had posted this on their website. The trails had only 1 type of plant with flowers. 99% of everything else looked dead but hope they will look better as Spring approaches.

What a great resource! The staff were so lovely. They showed me around their exhibits inside and talked to me about good birding spots in the area. Afterwards I walked the trails and saw a lovely flock of Scaled Quail.

If you live in Midland you MUST go here at least once, but honestly I come here most Fridays with my two dogs because its the nicest place to walk in Midland. There isnt much shade or tree coverage (because honestly...its Midland) so bring your sunscreen! Love the bumble bee garden too! Great place to take your kiddos as well, they have a cute kids activity room inside. :)

We love going here to experience this habitat in its mostly natural state. The kids love noting the differences between our visits/seasons. Civilization peaks through at moments with road noise and the golf course but those really attempting to connect with nature and learn this land will quickly look past these distractions. We were pleased to discover that a homeschool group had taken over care of the kids garden, with great future plans.

A pleasant place for a short hike and explore. Areas for artists and nature photographers. Lots of mosquitoes, so get yourself protected. Family friendly area, but supervision is a must. Rattlesnakes are always a possibility. Theres also an open pond, so keep an eye or hand on your little ones. Knowledgeable staff and signage add to the educational aspect of the center.
