Went through the drive thru this morning after just waking up. Haven t had time to buy groceries so there s nothing to eat in my house. Just trying to order a few donuts. I repeat the order 3 times. The lady was rude and flat. Never repeated the order back or explained anything to me when I wasn t understanding her question. I had just woke up and don t eat donuts often. I got to the window and the lady was shaking, visibly mad, and another employee came up and told her to just breathe. Completely unprofessional. My order ended up being wrong and I had to go inside. The lady inside was nice, explained they didn t have one donut that I was asking for, and actually helped me instead of getting mad at me.

Great donuts, but awful service. I always sense irritation when I m simply ordering, and then if I correct them or ask them to confirm they get defensive. Today, I could tell the woman at the window was irritated so I checked my order before I left, she intentionally left out one of the donuts I paid for. While I caught that before I left, when I got home she gave me completely different kolaches than I ordered. I don t expect over the top service, but just give me what I paid for. Beyond annoying, we ll find a new Sunday donut spot.

We ordered 3 kolaches, 2 apple fritters, 2 cinnamon rolls, and 2 bear claws with a salted caramel coffee. They charged us $60.69. The order came out with 2 dozen sprinkle donuts suitable for our kids and the fritters and bear claws. The service rep at the window kept coming back telling me they were out of this or that and could they sub cream for Bavarian creme, then they were out of maple icing so no maple, then no coffee because their water system was jacked. After several trips to the window and a ten minute wait to tell me all the items they didn t have, I said just to throw something in a box and get me out of there. Upon arriving at work, my wife called the store manager, Yvonne who was talkative but offered no solutions. Worst drive thru experience ever.

I was really disappointed in this place. Well with the children for breakfast and the cinnamon roll was old or very hard and dry, too much, I kindly asked the lady that she wanted another one or that she didn t want it because it was hard and old and she told me no, that she didn t give me back the money or change the downfall which I didn t want. I don t recommend this place, especially for children..

donuts are good but the service is horrible. The employees are rude and disrespectful. We had an online order and when we went to pick it up they did not have more donuts, the employee was in a bad mood and the only thing she said was: I dont have more donuts!! What do you want me to do?? She just replied in a really bad way and did not even apologize. Please train your employees to say: Good morning, good afternoon, Thank you, Sorry. What a horrible way to treat your customers.

Definitely make sure to check your order before you leave. I ordered 2 kolaches, 2 donuts and an iced coffee. Both of the donuts were wrong and so was the coffee. I was able to get one of the donuts replaced but they were suddenly out of the other. Im not sure how they messed it up as he read my order back to me and had it correct.

Zero people inside, zero people in the drive through, and I waited unaddressed at the window for 6 minutes with someone standing there the entire time before driving off without my order. Open the window and at least say something. And quit trying to guilt trip your drive through customers into a tip. You are paid hourly to hand donuts out of a window.

Ordered online, picked up, got home, and had completely wrong order. We were very disappointed. Why hire people who have a hard time reading or just dont care. To top it off, these were probably the worst Kolaches my self and family had ever eaten. Bread was hard and dry. Sausages were cold. Will not recommend it, especially if you have to drive more than 20 mins to pick it up like we did.

I ordered two large caramel iced coffees. I paid $12.97 for two iced coffees that were not anywhere near large . I asked the lady these are large? And she said yeeeaaahhhhh as if echoing my disappointment. I said ok and reluctantly took them. And then I started to drink mine. Didn t even have the slightest hint of any coffee flavor. Quit badgering me for tips!!! Enough is enough! It started sometime last year. My wife and I usually go to get kolaches for the family on Sundays one day In the drive through it was a do you want to leave a tip? . Then we noticed every time we went through the drive through it was would you like to leave a tip?? . We always do if it makes others happy that s fine but like I said it s a drive through. So this year it started no matter what I ordered... How do I add a tip to a donut order!? Wait there is more the straw that broke the Nobu camels back so I drive through for one donut. Give the kid my card and then he ,GET THIS, he hard closed me on a tip with How much of a tip would you like to leave today? . WHAAATTTTT!?!? I just got hard closed on a dang donut in a drive through for a SINGLE DONUT????? That kid has guts, I ll give him that. But they no longer have my business. Adios The shame is that it is a 4 or 5 star donut location without all of the begging for tips.

disgusting place to work and to eat. i was bullied by the manager and supervisor. they are very unclean and don t use gloves or wash their hands before touching food. i ve gotten food poisoning from there and so has my boyfriend and his coworkers. i really don t recommend eating here it s so unclean. the manager valentina doesn t even train her staff to be clean and she doesn t practice cleanliness either. she rides on the carts that we put food on and doesn t wash her hands after using the restroom. also in the photo is do-nuts that were being filled just put on a dirty trash can instead of putting them on the rack.

I tried calling the actually Shipleys that did my order on Wall Street but could only get ahold of this one. The lady was nice but as for the place I actually ordered from, could not get them to answer ohjnr. The order was wrong TWICE and they did not correct it. Donuts were also subpar compared to the doughnut shop right across the street, and they were more expensive at that. Literally the only good thing about this place is their sign out front. Its cool.

I have been coming here nearly every weekend with my daughter for a year. The management team has changed and you can tell. There wasn t any soap in the bathroom. The guy taking my order couldn t understand me. They forgot half my order. Additionally, I order the same thing every week. This time they wanted to type all 6 donuts in the computer while I ordered. They couldn t figure out the name of the donut I was pointing to and had to get the manager (who also could barely communicate) to figure out how to ring up the order. I m not sure if I just have bad luck or what but every single time I come here my order is wrong today I ordered a kolache, glazed donut, and I chocolate iced donut. I got two glazed donuts . Last time I ordered a kolache with cheese and bit down to discover it was a kolache with cheese AND jalapeño! I hate jalapeño. Another time I asked for a dozen donuts and like two of the ones I picked out weren t there, they gave me more of the others. Also, I asked for decaf coffee and they said they don t have any? I don t know what s going on with them, all of those interactions were through the drive thru. Maybe you have to go in to order and the food is just average or less than average on some days.

Shipleys do-nuts are soft and fluffy with a nice yeasty bread flavor- the glazes and fillings add that extra flavor donut lovers love! The Bold kolaches are ok, not as good as the other competitors. And lastly, Shipley has a great team who are very kind and patient and greet you right as you step through the door. They made the whole experience all the better! :) Personal preference cons: 1.The hot chocolate drinks are made with mostly water I believe, as the taste wasnt as creamy as Id like. (Not sure if they have milk options. My order was takeout so I just added some half n half at home.) 2.The majority of all their donuts are glazed, so if you dont have much of a sweet tooth like me, Id suggest just brushing the glaze off. With that, I highly recommend the Bear Claw as it is large, has a soft inner, and is so very, very good.

I ve had Shipley donuts in Austin before, and I was not impressed then. My latest sampling solidified my rating. The staff is very welcoming. However, the Shipley kolache is subpar. The bread/sausage ratio is horrible. 1/2 diameter sausage, with very little taste, wrapped around too much bland dough. You re better off with Fat Jack s. Luckily their glazed donuts were pulled from the back. Hot off the presses. Unluckily, their icing lacks flavor. Though better than the plastic donuts of Jack N Jill, I d rather stick with Southern Maid or DoughBoy s. Great staff nonetheless. Ideal location to catch plenty of the inexperienced.

Look, other donut places just are not Shipleys. We came from the founding city of Houston and weekends were always Shipleys time. The warm glazed donuts are the best, the chocolate covered are just the right amount. It has always been the best and always will be in my book. I am so glad they are now in the area and even worth the short drive to our sister city. The kolaches are a little different than others and in my book have a little to much bread, but that is what makes them different. My husband loves them and will buy a dozen to eat later usually. They heat up and keep well too. I have never had a bad experience at a Shipleys and this one lives up to the same. I also rarely go through the drive thru. It is just as quick to go in as drive thru and people inside are always nice. They have coffee, sodas, milks, and juices to go with your order too.

Oh, my gosh! We love Shipleys donuts! We grew up on Shipley donuts in East Texas. Since moving to West Texas, we thought wed never get to eat a great donut again. All the other donut places taste the same and use chocolate pudding to fill their chocolate filled donuts. Shipleys uses a chocolate frosting. How great is that?!

Im the only one in my family that seems to like our Shipleys - that is of course assuming they have any plain glazed donuts, half the time they do not. Complaints from the family include: chocolate glazed donuts are iced as if they dont care, order accuracy, and freshness. They will likely never be converted to Shipleys, which sucks because I feel they do have the best glazed donut in town.

i was in the hospital being treated for getting stabbed by my 3 year old Mckayalynn or as she likes to call herself the upbringer of destruction kids these days. Anyways my hubby brought me a delicious doughnut!!! So good!

Ive been a Shipleys customer for years and love the taste and quality of their products, but I cant give 5 Stars due to the price. Ive seen the Kolaches go from $.89 up to over $3.00 Thats just too much for that....

We got a sample dozen. Nothing really stood out as exceptional, mostly blah. I think the cream filled is probably better than any other in town, but that s it and not saying much as that s a fringe favorite. Couple that with long lines and more money and I ll probably never try it again. I went to college for a long time in College Station where there are some very old franchises. They were just okay too. Three national donut chains have attempted to open locations in Midland/Odessa for the last 20 years. They didn t make it. People here prefer our local shops even if they use frozen, pre-made dough and often sell stale and days old donuts. And I don t see enough standing out here to think this will be any different from the other attempts.
