I recently visited Barons Creek in Bishop Arts and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I walked in, Sarah was super helpful and attentive, making my visit truly enjoyable. She was knowledgeable about the wines and offered great recommendations. The wine selection was impressive, with the Cava sparkling being an absolute standout it was crisp, refreshing, and full of flavor. The ambiance of the place added to the overall experience, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy good wine. I definitely plan on coming back to see Sarah again and explore more of their offerings. Highly recommend Barons Creek for any wine enthusiast!

Enjoyed a night out here, my wife and I each did a wine tasting. The waitress was informative with our selections and the offerings here, we will definitely come back. We sat out on the patio and they had tvs and a great atmosphere. My favorite wine choice was the Sauvignon blanc and my wife liked the 2021 Boots.

Update 8/30/2023 We have officially canceled our membership. The welcoming vibe of Barons is gone. We came in for our tasting and we literally were ignored the entire time, thankfully Katie was there otherwise we would have just left after our 1st glass. We were ignored by 5+ employees including management. I am so disappointed with management and ownership. The managers paid more attention to the younger employees than to customers. Specifically Mike, one of the RUDEST gms I have ever had the pleasure to speak with. He is the main reason we will never come back. When we expressed our frustration with the service Mike tried to sweep it under the rug. He ignored us. This was our favorite winery on the square but we will go to 4r for their hospitality. Love the new menu!!! The new Flatbreads are aaaaamazing! The bruschetta was our favorite but we loved all of them. Chris and Andrew have made this establishment a must stop! I cant wait to come back!

Update Feb 2023: went to Mardi Gras themed pick up party and had a great time. Great food and wine pairings. Love this location and their wines. We have been to the Fredericksburg location and were happy to see they opened a location so close to us. Their staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about their wines. We loved the experience and wine so much we joined their wine club and went to our first wine pickup event over the weekend. Marc Chase was there and did a great job of making the rounds. The party was themed and everyone was dressed. The pairings of food to wines were excellent! The decor is great and the upscale vibe is on point. I am so glad we found this place!!

With a membership you get 2 free tastings a month, so we always use that as an excuse to cat around downtown McKinney. The wines are delicious, especially the reserve Cabernet. Made reservations for our date night. We are members of Barons Creek. When we got there they were packed. They couldnt find our reservations. We had an email confirmation. They said no big deal we will still seat you. They put us in the bar area. I had talked with 2 couples that were behind us and they were new customers. They were seated after us and received service first. At that point, just figured good timing for them. Then asked the bar tinder did I need to order drinks from him. He said no, someone would be around to help you. 10 minutes later, when other customers were asking when their food order was coming out or when they could get more drinks that It was time to leave. I noticed that they were more focused on new customers then their members. So, to save our date night we left and ate at CT Provisions. Will cancel our membership and take this as a lesson learned.

Theres hardly anyone here, 3 people working and the service is terrible, weve been here over an hour and half for 5 tastings. The lady waiting on us told us she started working here a few weeks ago and has never drank wine, We are club members and they just gave us basic tastings nothing extra. This review is overdue! We are BIG fans of BCV tasting Room in McKinney. After an AMAZING first visit here several months ago, (and joining their wine club that day) and many visits, events, and glasses of wine later, let me tell you why this place is SO fabulous... BCV is just on another level of ambiance and service, truly. They pay attention to details that other businesses miss. The service is warm, authentic and stellar! You are IMMEDIATELY greeted and welcomed into this establishment. The staff is truly knowledgable about the wine they serve.The ambiance is refined, comfortable and BEAUTIFUL! Bar seating, tables, couches, and super comfy outdoor furniture gives you so many options of where to cozy up and sip. Quite frankly I LOVE that this place is 21yrs and up. Its lovely relaxing with wine, listening to music, and socializing without kiddos running amuck. No offense parents but it IS a wine bar right? BCV hosts fantastic events that are well organized, creative and FUN and will keep you coming back for more! The big difference about Baron s Creek is the staff. Stephanie seems to be having a blast describing and serving. Her explanations are more in depth. They turned my mom, friend, and her mom away at the door because we had two babies with us. They said it was only 21 and up so they couldn t let the babies come in but they could give us wine to-go. I ve never been turned away from a restaurant, brewery, winery, etc for bringing in a baby! Needless to say, they have lost our business.

This place is amazing! The decor and atmosphere are beautiful. The staff is so attentive and made us feel right at home. We had a wine tasting for a group of 10 family members, and everyone keeps raving about what a great time we had, and how much they enjoyed the wine. Anthony took care of us and we really enjoyed learning about their wines. We had lots of laughs and it was such a positive experience. And again, the wine was amazing! My husband and I are wine club members and have been for over 3 years now. We love the Fredericksburg location but are unable to go as much as we would like, so we were so excited when the McKinney location opened. So yesterday we decided to visit. It did not disappoint. Our server, Chris Dooley was fabulous. He made the visit so enjoyable. He was professional and knowledgeable. The only hitch in the visit was due to the GM. My husband wanted to see the Spanish wines because he could not remember what he liked. He thought the labels might remind him. The GM made a stop by the table to tell Chris not to hoard the wines. It was a little uncomfortable. But, overall a great visit as always with Barons Creek Wineries. The place is beautifully done. We cant wait to go back. If you go ask for Chris!! I visited Barons Creek Tasting Room and Lounge in McKinney with a friend this past Saturday afternoon. What a beautiful place to relax and catch up with my friend. We had such a wonderful experience. Anthony, Dana and the rest of the staff were exemplary in their knowledge of the wines. They guided our tasting and we loved loved loved the wine! Thank you for a great experience. We will be back for many more visits and more tastings!

Super cute place in the heart of McKinney square! Great service and great wine! Rose was very good. Stephanie was our waitress very attentive. There was a gentle man named Karry that was saying hi to everyone and welcoming them in.Another person that I saw a lot and she came by was Carolyn. She was making sure everything was good at our table.I will be back for sure.

So excited that Barons Creek Vineyards in McKinney is open and it did not disappoint! We did the red wine flight and there wasn t one we didn t like. So excited to have them in Downtiwn McKinney. Great menu selection as well. The food we tried was good too!

Don t waste your time and money. I m baffled how some of these Texas wineries view themselves as some kind of Grand Cru estate. $21 to taste five wines that didn t even equate to a half glass? Finally ordered two glasses of wine at $12 dollars that was about a 5oz pour and called it quits. If I m going to drop over $50 for basically two glasses of wine, then I ll drink something with a much higher quality. Very disappointed.

Came today with our Great Dane and the manager or waiter meeting people turned us down due to his size. Honestly, his attitude towards the situation was off putting and sour. Every winery in McKinney Square welcomed us with open arms inside or out on a patio. The fact we were turned down when the patio was basically empty is upsetting. Almost as if we weren t good enough for the establishment. We won t be back, even without a dog.

I came to Barron with a girl friend because she had visited the Fredericksburg location and spoke very highly of the experience, and learned that they would be opening a location locally. So we came to try and I love it. My experience was very warm and welcoming experience!! Rue our waitress was very knowledgeable about the different wines and suggested things they would got great with. I left with a bottle to enjoy at home and I will definitely be back soon!

My wife and I really enjoy Barons Creek. The Fredericksburg location holds a special place in our heart as we got married there and we visit every year. Looking forward to the McKinney location, it will be just down the road from us.
