If youre looking for a venue, I really cant recommend this one enough. No matter how cheesy that sounds, its just true. My wife and I just had our wedding here, and it was amazing. The venue itself is beautiful, just perfect for everything we wanted to do. From the ceremony spot to the reception, and the amazing suites for the bride and groom parties to get ready in. All of that you should be able to see from pictures on here, but the part I cant praise enough is the people running it. They were so easy and amazing to work with.You can tell when people running a venue actually care about making sure your day is special. The manager of the venue worked with us on every step, was incredibly accommodating, and worked so well with all of our vendors and the chaos that comes from them. If youre having trouble choosing a venue for an important day, let how amazing the people running The Backyard Venue be your deciding factor. I couldnt imagine anyone better to be there for us.

Let me tell you about this hidden gem in McKinney... We just hosted our baby shower event at this venue, and the experience we had was far better than expected. Katy and her team provided exemplary service and made sure that our event went smoothly. It rained hard during our lunch time, but Katy had plan B ready, which ensured our event was uninterrupted. I strongly recommend this venue for small events and big memories.

I am photographer of the wedding and until know 3 times I did photography in this venue. Small venue, not luxury but nice location and mostly vintage looks. Very easy can found diffrent location for photography.

This is the best venue you can get for the value! Katy worked with us every single step of the way to make the wedding of our dreams. She helped us as if it was a family member of hers having a wedding. The venue itself is beautiful and versatile- having an indoor setting and multiple outdoor settings to customize any type of wedding!

This is a beautiful venue and the owners really know where to step in to make sure your wedding/event is successful. Our daughter was married there this past weekend and it was absolutely magical. The options are endless with the outdoors spaces and indoor space. The newly installed heaters under the pavilion ensured for a good time even on a cold night. The clear bubble umbrellas were such a nice touch/vibe. From the golf cart drivers to the owners themselves everything was perfect. Katy even redid an area that was destroyed by the wind and add some flowers she had in her inventory as well. Highly recommend The Backyard Venue!!!

I would highly recommend the Backyard Venue for anyone needing a beautiful place for family photos. I came across this hidden treasure when searching for new *unique* outdoor locations for our family session - and this place delivered! There were probably about 10+ areas within the property that are great backdrops for any kind of shoot! The barn is well kept, as is the whole property. Beautiful waterfalls, string lights, rustic cars and tractors - this place is a diamond in the rough! Working with Katy (whom I believe is either the owner or property manager) was also so nice! She was kind and responsive and even helped us during our shoot with making the kids laugh and showing us around to different sites on her property. She was absolutely lovely to work with. This location is a 10/10. Do not hesitate to pick this as your next event venue or photoshoot location!

Very country feel. Outhouse style bathrooms Lots of dogs barking and roosters crowing, so it will ruin the vibe of an event. Unless that event is a western theme. One road, one car wide, way in and its the only exit too. Gravel parking.

The Backyard Venue was absolutely gorgeous, charming, and warm especially for a fall wedding. The staff and owner were fantastic to work with, and the suites for the bride and groom were very accommodating. The venue is equipped with several waterfalls, and plenty of room to support a small to medium sized wedding. The courtyard was incredible and as sunset came, the venue was well lit with ambient and warm lighting. Really cant say enough about The Backyard Venue. Our guests really enjoyed it, and I would highly recommend it as a venue or event location.

Mrs Katie was amazing her and her staff were on top of everything all night! We had some rain before our ceremony and they got all my guests from their car to the ceremony by golf carts! It started to rain during my reception and their quick thinking of putting all of the decorations that were outside, they put them under a tent so they wouldn t get ruined! My wedding was perfect and Mrs Katie did everything in her power to ensure it went smoothly! I definitely will have more parties and get togethers here!

Utilized the venue site for our wedding Oct. 1, 2023. All-around great customer service from the venue owner, Katy. New venue site that feels very intimate and family oriented. I got so many compliments from guests about how beautiful the venue itself is. Doesnt need alot of decoration added to feel like a great party. Worth every penny. 10/10 would definitely recommend having your next function here. They can accommodate any type of party. And they are so close to downtown mckinney and amenities in Princeton as well.

This place is so beautiful, just went to a wedding here and it was truly enchanting and such a hidden gem . The people that worked here were so patient and kind, they allowed us to take our time to pack food to go and say our goodbyes. My husband and I were looking for a last minute wedding venue and the one we had before ended up being too small. We met with Katy 1 month before our wedding day and she was such an amazing help! The venue staff helped make this day our dream wedding day and every day before the wedding if we had any questions they were quick to respond and extremely helpful. Serene, comfortable, and extremely well kept. A true hidden gem of a venue. By far, One of my favorites in North Texas. Very well kept, and extremely clean. This Venue is the best of the best!! They accommodated us with 1 week notice!!!! Everything was perfect. The Venue is absolutely gorgeous. They have the most beautiful indoor barn then the covered outside Pavillion, fire pits to roast smores and you can even get married outside in a little forest area. The Staff was soooo wonderful. I cant say enough good things! Just get married here!!! Book now. They are new and filling up fast!!!

Lovely facility but a strange entrance to get there. Easy to miss the turn. Beautiful yard and waterfall pond for outdoor games and relaxing. The barn is well maintained with lovely lighting. Parking is tight and it s way too dark when trying to get back to your car.

Don t let the vintage truck fool you - this place is as new and up to date as possible! We had a big crowd celebration there recently & I couldn t be more impressed. There is a spacious (cooled & heated) indoor area with lots of tables & seating. We were there in summer w/ample A/C. The outdoor area has a very large covered eating/dancing/gathering area along with a covered b-b-q area. There are open turf areas that will nicely accommodate more people! Nice restrooms inside and outside. Parking area is very convenient. We ll definitely be reserving it in the future and recommending it.

The Backyard Venue was the perfect place and size for our daughter s graduation party. The barn and outside area allowed for different atmospheres and transitions for the party. The grill/bar area outside allowed us to have food station outside. The team was attentive to our questions and needs. They were able to provide many of the items we needed without having to bring in another vendor. The bathrooms are great as well. They matched the theme of the venue is you would not know those were the bathrooms. Highly recommend The Backyard Venue!!!
