I read about this in the local McKinney Community Impact edition and remembered seeing it driving by. I avoided it being out of work and thinking Thai would be expensive. My bad on not takig a pic but the Vegetable Medley with beef was superb! Being on a tight budget, it was affordable. I will be back for sure!

We came in to Spoon &Fork to meet my son for a special meal.He loves this place and I can tell why! Large servings, delicious hot food, You can never go wrong with orange chicken, sweet spicy sauce.. pairs with Thom yum soup A hearty veggie soup made of tomato base and lemongrass with your choice of meats (chicken, beef, tofu). Service is outstanding. They check on you regularly to see if you need anything or have questions. Atmosphere is a 5-star since tables/floors are clean and appropriate music is played just right volume. Last but not least, the Thai Tea.. standing so perfectly measured between cream on top and delectable tea on the bottom. If you swirl your straw in it just right you get Thai Tea flavor in every sip..what are you waiting for?? Spoon &Fork Thai Kitchen -- go run and get some :) :) :)

Food tasted so sweet. Ordered tofu pad sew, thai fried rice one with chicken and the other one with tofu, fresh veg roll, red curry. When they took order , they didnt check with us how spicy we wanted. We asked them to add a bit spicy since they were too bland. We were just provided with hot sauce as they had already started preparations. Ambiance wasnt bad. Service was poor. It would be nice if they were welcoming with a smiling face. The time when we left with generous tips, they were smiling nicely. None of the orders tasted good except the fresh veggie roll. Generous quantity of the foods.

Have tried this place twice. First time Pad Thai to go and today dine in Drunken Noodles. Love the look and atmosphere is good. Service was okay. Gave us what we needed, but both workers seemed unhappy with their job and more attention paid to talking to each other sometimes. Overall compared to other Thai places the actual food is pretty greasy. Im glad I tried it the second time so I could try something else, but would recommend to try other Thai places first.

This is not the best but not the worst thai food if you are in the area. The restaurant is very clean and staff friendliness could absolutely be improved. I am Vegan and had a piece of chicken in my vegan panang curry on my first visit. Almost never came back but i gave it a few more chances and it has not happened since. On the rare occasion when I do not feel like making the drive to Zaza Thai I default to here instead.

We arrived at 2030 and the place closes at 2100 and were met by an extremely rude Thai woman (short and stalky so avoid her) who quickly informed us (with a frown on her face) that we had 3 MINUTES TO ORDER. Basically threw our food at us when she served our dishes and was turning her customers away that arrived after us. I have lived in Thailand for 20 years and this is NOT Thai food. I ordered Grapao Gai (Thai basil chicken). It was served with canned bean sprouts, giant pieces of onion and bell peppers (NONE of this is in authentic Grapao); it is typically a very spicy dish and had 0 chilis in it. Terrible. Not sure how this place stays in business but there are much better Thai restaurants in the area so dont waste your time or money on this.

Ive been twice now and both visits were different. The food was good both times. The staff is pleasant and the food was brought to the table hot both times. My wife loves the Panang Salmon Avocado and I enjoyed their Tiger Cry and Thai Basil Beef. The second visit, there was only one server plus a bartender who never moved away from behind the counter. The server was hustling and doing a great job but she was clearly overworked. When she could catch a breath, she visited with us and was very pleasant. One important issue is this is NOT the place if you want to work or use your phone during your meal as they do not have wifi and the cellular signal is practically non-existent.

Food is good but what s up with the service? The waiter with the Pokémon hat hovered over my daughter and watched her when she was writing the tip, watching how much we gave him. When she gave me the recipe the came to me and while he was collecting dishes, kept asking us if his service was good enough for the tip we gave him. We tipped him fairly like how we have always tipped, but the way our waiter kept hovering over us and pressing about the tip we gave was unacceptable. He was acting as if he wasnt getting paid properly and seemed very desperate. While I was reading the receipt the waiter kept picking up dishes and wiping the table in front of us and bothering us. We felt very harassed and unwelcome during our service. He should have been glad we even gave him a tip.

The place was hot, service was mediocre , food was less than average plus my husband had to wait almost 10 minutes after everyone else was served to get his meal. The worst was being chased down in the parking lot because the guy didnt like the tip we left. They are lucky we even left a tip! This experience soured our happy day which shouldve been a celebration for our grandbaby. Definitely NOT returning!!!

We ordered chicken panang curry and chicken yellow curry. It tasted great! The only problem we encountered was the panang curry had a piece of black plastic, my sister bit down on it unknowingly and it broke inside her mouth. She had to rinse her mouth in the rest room, to clear out the little pieces. We did show the staff and they comped the meal. We are unsure what it was nor could they explain what it could have been.

The sticky rice w coconut milk dessert was probably the favorite, but the pad Thai noodles were mushy, so much so that they fell apart when I stirred them. And the flavor wasn t fresh at all. It was like leftover pad Thai. You know those times when you re traveling and you are SO HUNGRY and you order food and wait in great anticipation, and then the thing you order is a giant bummer? This was one of those times.

Came here for Dinner and felt rushed at approximately 7:30. We ordered the crispy spring rolls and the crispy tofu and neither of the breading or wrap had flavor. The tofu tasted like I put a cardboard in my mouth. For the rolls we put the rolls on our plates and they took the dish they came on without asking just came and picked it up and left with the sauce. The only flavor we had. The kids meal was not described right because I got noodles and chicken with no absolute flavor. They took it out the water and put it in a plate to dry and I had to add my curry sauce and water to it so my baby didn t choke. The green and yellow curry were okay not the best I give them a 3 out of 5. A little before or right at 8:30 a different lady who looked like she was in charge came up and said anything else the kitchen closes in 30 mins and I said yes I ll get the sticky rice and mango and when it fiancé was about to talk she said we only have ice cream not mango so I said do you have other stuff she said yes so I said okay can I see a menu and she shook her head no and said I have ice cream and named different kind and I said ok. My fiancé asked if there was a menu and she just said ice cream no mango. The way she was standing and had her hand on her hip while just looking at us was rude. I said I ll take a rice and coconut ice cream and she said K and walked away fast as my fiancé was ordering what he wanted. She didn t bring out what he wanted and we had to share a plate for 3 of us. I asked for a Togo box and it didn t fit my food and no one ever came back so I left it. Waste of 60 bucks

This establishment is not it, unfortunately. We went here about a week ago or so since we will be new residents of the brand new McKinney area, and wanted to check out the only Thai spot in the area considering it looked nice, it s in a brand new area and brand new plaza so we were excited! We went in and quickly realized it s a very to go/ take out sort of restaurant. We were expecting and hoping for a more cozy, customer service friendly, full and busy restaurant with a big menu! We were barely greeted and once we were, it was a just pick wherever type of thing. We ordered two dishes one noodle dish and one basil chicken dish. I asked the waitress (who was herself very blah as if she wasn t excited to be there) if the chicken could be cooked well done since I don t like white chicken. She said, okay! During our wait time of waiting for it to be done and sent out, we noticed it was so quiet and the staff was just 3-4 people on their phones and playing cards! Just thought it was strange to visibly see by the customers. But how quiet the restaurant seemed to be, you would think their service would have been much better. The food finally comes out and my chicken was pale as pale gets. The noodle dish came out right. When they finally came over to ask if everything was okay, I just said what happened and it just didn t seem like anyone bothered to do much about it besides ask me mid-meal if I wanted it to be sent back and remade. While I appreciate the gesture, it was too late and my only request that I did have was so simple. Sadly, it wasn t executed or communicated it seemed like. Other things to note is the overall presentation is just okay, they didn t offer or have chopsticks I don t believe, no spice rack that most will almost always have. They gave us regular chili flakes and that s okay, but just not very authentic at all. We left very blah about the dinner, about the establishment and the service.

Loved the red curry. Very original tasting and price is superb. $13 for one entree and lots of food. Thai basil fried rice is also really good. Edamame is wonderful also and super cheap. Would highly recommend this spot. Their chicken is white meat fyi. Cant wait to try other dishes. Vegetarian options: Curry options can be vegetarian. Lots of apps to choose from without meat.

First and for all, the crab cream cheese doesn t have crab meat and doesn t even taste cream cheese at all. Don t let the name/menu fool you. Save yourself from disappointment and just go to a chinese restaurant for that. Secondly, the green curry used to be good but this time they became cheap with the ingredients and doesn t taste good anymore. This place is a joke with greedy manager who doesn t pay their staff enough.

We were party of 2 and ordered 3 entrees and a dessert i.e. Thai Fried Rice (Veggie), Pepper Delight (Shrimp) and Pad Woon Sen (Veggie). Kudos: The fresh ingredients and pretty sized portions. We also loved the water serving with a slice of lemon. Though, it looked it they were short on staff, the lady waiting did a good job in keeping the service at high level. Ice cream (coconut) was awesome, not too sweet, its a must try. Feedback: We would love to have some sauces and chili vinegar on the side on the table so we could mix it with the entrees. Management: Youre doing a good job and we loved our meal and time spent at your establishment. God bless you.

I have to say, Spoon and Fork is my husband and I favorite Thai place. We ve had the basil & crab fried rice, chicken satay, shrimp skewer, crab cream cheese, fried shrimp rolls, garlic broccoli, green curry, garlic catfish & Mongolian beef and we liked Every one of those items. Coming from a person that is picky when it comes to good food, I will say Spoon and Fork has really good food!

Unfortunately will not be coming back again. They have been going downhill for awhile now. Last night was the last straw. For the second time, they made my order wrong. Im vegetarian and asked for tofu, however they made it with chicken. I am a tolerate person but after this happening twice.. no. Do you think they would take off the charge? No. Check was full price (in both instances). All I got was a sorry. Tofu was dry and chewy anyways. Better places to go elsewhere. Vegetarian options: They offer vegetarian options but beware! Check before eating as mistakes were made (twice in my case).

I had to write this review, I loved this Thai spot, but I can not express enough how the food is no longer the same quality, I dont mind waiting for the quality of food they used to provide, 5 mins after our order it came out and I looked at my spouse like this is oddly fast. I only took 2 bites , the second to make sure it wasnt me. My husband loves curry and he stopped eating his after one bite. We paid and left . Sadly will not return.

I dont have anything bad to say about this place. From the moment I approached the establishment, it started off on a good foot. The outside decoration was well presenting, and walking in was very clean, modern and open, not your typical Thai restaurant. The food was AMAZING. I had the thai fried rice with shrimp and chicken, and the flavor was great. The only negative thing that i can say is i wish they could have made it a little spicy. The best part was the fried shrimp rolls. Ive had many shrimp rolls in my travels, and this place was the best out of all the other Thai places ive been to. Lastly, theres a young woman named Yaya, that was my waitress. She was the most professional waitress ive had in a long time. I came in during a busy time, she was bouncing from table to table , bringing food, refilling drinks, checking on the customers, and did it like a professional. I would recommend this place to anyone. Lastly, I saw other peoples food and the presentation is on point !

The food here is great. My main complaint is the rice portion sizes to go with your dish are TINY. Never enough for the dish. As a family we eat a lot of Thai food to go, and this place by far delivers the smallest rice portions of any place Ive ever eaten. Pics show how little rice we got ordering 3 dishes that come with rice. All the rice combined fit into one small container. This is the portion size we get each time weve ordered to go. This will probably be the main reason we eat somewhere else in the future.

Weve been coming here pretty much since this place opened, the first time here was so amazing! The following times have also been very good, no complaints. Good food, good service. Today just was not quite up to the normal standard. We ordered the I-San Sausage, took forever to come out and honestly it was just yuck. I took two bites, one without sweet and sour sauce and one with...it didnt help. My husband ate a little bit more then he was done. The main dishes were fine, could have been a little hotter (temperature) not spice. Overall still a good meal. My biggest complaint is the guy that came rolling in to work right before we left. He walks over by the soda machine rubbing his hands in his hair, flipping his hair around. Then he walks over to the POS machine, still rubbing his head and messing with his hair, clocks in and answers the phone. Still messing with his hair he walks over by the food pass, where they also keep the to go containers, food and other items customers dont want hair in. Now its been several years since I left the food industry, and I know things have gotten very relaxed, but I would think not washing your hands and flipping your hair around food, drinks and items that food will go in is not ok. I really dont know if Ill go back if they cant teach their employees the basics such as washing your hands after touching your face and hair!

This restaurant served me the worst Thai food I have ever eaten. It inspired me to take up Thai cooking, and now I can make a Pad Thai that I prefer to theirs. Their primary issues are that their meals are cheaply made and have a flavor profile that is dulled to meet suburban, upper-middle-class tastes. I would recommend something other than this location. Edit: I gave this restaurant a second chance, and it proved itself to be mediocre. I have revised my rating to three stars.
