The food is good. Don t get me wrong. I like me their quesabirrias and tacos. What I have a problem with is the price. This is not uncommon as most places are now charging $4 per taco at food trucks. As someone who has ran a taco shop, that price is generally not warranted for most places. When you are charging that much money for two tortillas with a little bit of meat, cilantro, and onions it better leave you not regretting what you paid for. I ve found myself thinking I could have made this at home for a quarter of the price. That s my two cents. Cheers!

I ve enjoyed tacos here before and I must say that they were REALLY good. Today was my 2nd time and EVERYTHING lacked flavor. As a family, we had 2 barbacoa tacos, 2 carnitas tacos, a shrimp taco, a chicken fajita quesadilla, and an order of chips and queso. While the portions were still pretty good, the taste and quality was a stark difference from our last experience. Today was definitely a one-star. But I am giving 3 stars as an average of both experiences.

Counter service with friendly crew. Im so full,but cant stop eating!! Carnitas taco was full of moist delicious meat in very fresh tortilla. The grilled shrimp taco was also fresh and filled all the way. Was super hungry and forgot to take a picture. Good reason to make a return trip!!

I had a burrito that I custom built and it was one of the BEST burritos I have ever had, it was thick, long and girthy, they also gave two sauces one was a tomatillo sauce which was red and at first it was tangy then it became spicy and there was this green sauce that I don t know the name of it was limey and the spicy. I love Daddys Tacos, the tacos are delicious, but in particular and although it is somewhat exotic, I love the shrimp taco. The staff is very friendly and cares about your satisfaction. Your order is ready in seconds . The atmosphere is simple but quite cozy and clean. They are always trying to innovate with new flavors and recipes. Update September 22, 2023. They have new tacos. The birria and quesabirria is one of the best that ve tried in the vicinity of Frisco and McKinney. Update June, 2023. I got try their burritos and they are game. Upgraded this place to 5 stars in the Tex-mex category. The burritos are huge too. Previous: Tex-mex setting with authentic Mexican flavors. Tortillas tasted super fresh and good amount of filling. The spicy pork taco tasted like a cochinita pibil taco. Al pastor taco was my favorite.

This place was the hangout spot of the friend group. After one of us left for college, we made a pact that we would only eat here if one of us was leaving or if all of us were in town. We would get the long table by the counter and get the tacos and some glass coke. Wed play Uno and have fun and reminisce. Ive brought up this story because weve already done this a couple times and today it was my turn as I leave for college in a couple days. When we got to the joint around 1 pm the place was closed despite it being within hours. Though disappointed we decided to switch lunch and dinner. But when we came back for dinner around 6:30, they were still closed even though the lights were on. It was such a disappointment that we missed out on this tradition. Im not sure if it was just an emergency or some other issue but a notice should at least be posted on the door.

The energy for the restaurant wasn t what I expected nor wanted it to be. First time I ve ever been here even though it is less than a mile away. It is easy to pass it without noticing the colorful sign. I m glad I finally decided to go. I will be back. I got the chorizo burrito and a brisket taco. The brisket was good but to be honest there wasn t enough smoky flavor for me to consider it brisket. It came off mor like pot roast. It was tasty but not what I was expecting. The chorizo on the other hand was great. I could probably eat it every day. It could have been a little spicier for my taste but the flavor was outstanding. Most places that serve breakfast tacos cook the eggs ahead and keep them in warmers to get orders out fast. Daddy s cooks to order so the eggs were hot and fresh. If you like hot, fresh, juicy breakfast tacos that require about 3 napkins then this is your place. I will definitely be back for more of that chorizo potato and egg it was great!

I found Daddy Tacos by accident. I took a different path home to explore the city. I glance to my left, and saw it. I love Tacos, so I had to make a U-Turn. Without further ado, lets get into the food:) I tried the Veggie Taco, and was amazed. It was culinary at its best. Tons of flavors and fresh ingredients. I highly recommend. I also ordered the Fish Tacos as well. They were good, if Im not mistaken they added a pinch of pineapple. It added a special touch to them. I also ordered the Chips and Guacamole. I wasnt impressed with it at all. It tasted moreso like Guacamole paste out of a can. I wouldnt recommend it at all. Over all, Daddys Tacos was an over all good experience. We got huge tortilla tacos which by the way the tortillas were microwaved not heated up properly, felt cold. Meat had no flavor. My husband got the onion and cilantro on the side and I wanted mine in my tacos but never in my 40 plus years have I been given onion with chopped serrano peppers mixed in. My tacos were so spicy I could not even eat them. I was having to pick out my meat from cilantro because I didnt know which one was pepper or cilantro. Also it says street tacos, no lime or lemon came with our food. Bad service. Owners need to tell customers that onion is mixed in with raw serrano or jalapeño pepper. Not coming back at all.

There customer service, their vibe, and their food is truly amazing. Though I m a vegetarian, I ve been recently craving fish for some reason. I have to say, their fish taco, and their salmon taco on the corn tortillas are absolutely amazing. I usually swap the avocado sauce for their spicy sauce, which makes it that much flavorful. Their food, and their tortillas are made fresh to order everyday, and their cooks work super hard to make the food is first class. With regards to the vibe, it s modern, yet still gives you that at home feeling as they have an open plan with kitchen being visible to everyone. To close, they are the standard of dining, and are the epitome of great food at a great price. When you guys are in the area, do try their food, as it s a must!

Food is great. We order here a lot. The lady up front has the worst attitude and makes it seem like you are inconveniencing her when you walk in the door. She seemed relieved I had a pick up order and didnt have to actually do anything to assist me. Handed me the bag and never spoke a single word to me.

Tried calling ahead of time at least a dozen times...ni answer. When got there the girls at register did not care at all when I asked her about why not one picked up the phone. Granted there were not customers at the time so they werent busy. Overall love the food....but very disappointed in the employees attitude. It seems like everyone wants a job but nobody wants to work these days. The kids these days need a better attitude because of the business fails its only their fault.

This is my second visit here. I must have accidently ordered Daddys Diarrhea Special. A spicey pork burrito that kept me and my wife on the toilet for 3 hours. The place was filthy dirty when we got there, with almost every table having trash on it. I excused that as it was right after the dinner rush. But no-one there when we showed up. With the price we paid and what I got, probably wont come back again. If you like diarrhea this is the place for you.
