Best sub shop ever, I couldn t give this place any less than 5 stars. I ve been here multiple time and they have amazing sandwiches and incredible ice cream. I just now tried their coffee ice cream for the first time and it was freezer burnt, not good. I recommend the triple Oreo smash but would still like to try the coffee flavor at a fresher time.

I tried this place for the first time for lunch the other day. I ordered the #3 Turkey pastrami and cheese with lemonade. Lemones are out of season right now so no surprise there I didnt like the lemonade but I blame myself for that. As for the sandwich it didnt even have any turkey on it. I only noticed because I wasnt a fan of the pastrami so I took it off only to be left with cheese and veggies. Disappointing overall

The staff are super friendly and helpful. The food is so delicious! I would definitely recommend heading over. The interior gives you the feeling of being in an outdoorsy place. Really nifty. Dietary restrictions: They have a calorie counter flyer you can use to help make a healthy order. Parking: Lots of parking near the establishment.

Tried them out today. Jeanette the shift manager was paying people out and really seemed like she did not want to be there and had a very poor attitude and still requested a tip. The general manager was making sandwiches. While she wasn t rude, she was just very monotone and direct. Their AC seemed to be broken as their door was being held open by a large fan but wasn t turned on. It was just very warm in there. They do have a sign that says they are understaffed and to be patient. Totally understand that, but still lacking customer service.

I don t usually submit reviews but the service here is atrocious. We place 2 different online orders over an hour in advance for 12:25 and 12:35. We were strapped on time because we re in between soccer games, our order times would have given my son plenty of time to eat before the next 2 games. They did not bother to even start our order until we got there!!! Then, we were still waiting on the order at 12:55! Because of their lackadaisical attitude my son had to play 2 competitive soccer games on an empty stomach. I hope the owner and manager see this, they are losing money because of this type of service.

Friendly staff. The sub and potato salad were fine, but the old fashion chicken noodle soup was costly poor. At $4.45 for a small cup, there was no chicken to be found--merely five noodle and carrot bits in a salty (otherwise flavorless) broth. It was worse than a can. Brownie and big chocolate cookie were tasty. With $2.00 tip, lunch totaled $26.46.

i m not the kind of person that leaves reviews much but i am honestly really upset about this. walked in with my friends for a couple sandwiches and we were really excited bc we enjoyed them a lot the last time. but i will say the woman that took orders and made our sandwiches -whom was the general manager!!!- was extremely snarky and rude to us. i can only assume it is because we are a younger crowd but we were extremely polite to this woman and the way she treated us was very disrespectful. u have lost some customers and if u r thinking about going here i would urge u to choose a different sub shop if u r looking to be treated with respect!

Sandwiches are good. Toppings are diverse. We like the Outdoorsman which is their signature sandwich. They slice meat to order and I love sprouts which they still offer unlike other sandwich shops. Three people ate for about 40 bucks. So not a terrible price at all.

Used to be my favorite deli, the product is great but the staff has gotten absolutely pathetic. They don t care, they half listen and have an attitude about every single thing. Virtually can t use the drive through. Not if you want your order correct. Just ok anything else? Repeated over and over again then miss 75% of the instructions and then get mad at the guest for wanting it corrected. There is one lady their (African American) that s always nice and can actually do her job well but everyone else need to go. Used to come here once a week will not be going back again ever. Which sucks for me too but I m not going to keep giving them money to mess up my order and give me an unwelcome experience.

I think my boyfriend and I think about going here for lunch every single day. The sandwiches are the perfect size and always made so perfectly. Everything so fresh. Weve stopped going to any other sandwich shop. I even love their cookies, brownies, and potato salad that always comes with a dash of paprika. They even sell whole pickles. I really enjoyed this place as its a bit different from other shops. The decor was neat and the staff was friendly. I had the turkey pastrami sandwich, some chips, and 2 pickles. The pickles were amazing and the sandwich was great. Its a shame the place isnt more busy as its really good food. I will be back soon for sure.

My sisters worked for this company years ago they are tucked away so it s hard to remember them when you need to .but their subs are classics. My favorite is the #5 on white. Let me start with saying the food is fine. Weve gone through the drive thru maybe 5 or 6 times over 3 years but have never been inside. Today we decided wed stop in on the way home from grocery shopping. We came in at 5:30pm and someone almost immediately walked past us to turn off the open sign and lock the doors. There was a barrier to the line that you normally order in. So, we had to stand really far back to order. We felt uncomfortable after they went and turned everything off and the woman taking our order was not friendly at all. She seemed very annoyed that we dare inconvenience her with our business. We wanted to add dessert to our order but by the time we got through ordering our meals we decided it wasnt worth it. Maybe we would have felt up to it after finishing our meal but they had started closing everything right after we were rang up. We couldnt have even refilled our drinks if we wanted to. While we were eating, the woman who had taken our order kept looking at us and then looking at her watch. It was extremely uncomfortable. A couple tried to leave and they were locked in. They had to ask to be let out. 4 minutes until close, someone had came in to order and they were turned away. I was a GM of a restaurant for many years. One thing I would never do is turn away a paying customer even a minute before close. Not to mention they deterred any other potential customers by turning off the open sign and locking the doors 30 mintues before they closed. If it wasnt for the really poor customer service I may had never started looking around the restaurant out of curiosity of the other things that were poorly managed. The floors were absolutely filthy. They hadnt been mopped in awhile and underneath the tables were disgusting. The whole place was booming with dust... especially the bathrooms. Again, the food is good. Behind the counter looks clean and the food stations look clean as well. It looks like they do everything that is required. They certainly dont do the extra things to keep the place up as well as they should and the customer service is just God awful. I dont know of any other locations but this one we certainly will not be returning to.

Superb sandwich!! I had the #12 Outdoorsman with all the works plus avocado and boyyyy was it incredibly fresh and delicious! The sandwich was huge and I was only able to eat half, but I m already looking forward to the other half for dinner, lol. And add a chocolate chunk cookie while you re at it-you won t regret it!

I went to the one in MCKINNEY today. They ask for a tip when you go through the drive-thru (like you would at McDonalds?!?) They actually wait to see if you tip before making your sandwich. My mother and I stopped into the McKinney location for lunch. Kendeoun must have seen us from the parking lot, (my mother walks with a cane) and came to hold the door open for us. He then offered to clean any table we wanted. Then he topped it off by bringing my mother a paper menu and taking her order at the table instead of making her get in line. He checked on us again as we were leaving to see if we needed refills. He absolutely made our day. Great food and amazing people!

Great Outdoors is what a sub shop should be. I have been eating at various locations since I was a kid, and in my opinion I have yet to find a sub shop that can top it: 1) The bread is fantastic 2) Good quality of meat / cold cuts 3) The Works. They also have a variety of ice creams for shakes and malts (Triple Oreo Smash shake highly recommended). Not as near to my home as I would like, but these days I use any excuse to swing by.

There was a line of people to make my sandwich. They had paper out and everything. Not only did they ask me to pay before my sandwich was made but they put my bread on the counter before preparing it and putting it on the paper. Chicken Salad on a Big Croissant! My new favorite! Ive been coming to the McKinney location for years. The chicken salad has sweet pickle relish, onions, and celery chopped very fine. The toppings were all chilled and fresh, which made the sandwich refreshing on a hot summer day. (Love sprouts on my sandwiches) I also love their potato salad for a change to chips. Shout out to the friendly staff and sandwich artist, who added the right amount of red vinegar on top of the chicken salad sandwich. If youre in the area, its worth trying.

They make a pretty good sandwich but when we visited on May 13th at noon there were a couple people eating but it looks like the place hasnt been cleaned in awhile. The tables were all dirty, Stuff all over the floor, and table tops were sticky.

The staff is always friendly and the subs are good. The menu is a little cumbersome, but they have a ton of meats and toppings. The oil, vinegar and parmesan is a nice touch on any sub. I also like their bread and the campfire mayo. They have a few sides including chips and potato salad. There is also a large ice cream selection.

Thier bread is my favorite out of the main sub shops. Milkshakes are great. The people that work at this location are nice and seem to know what they are doing. Stop in once a week to grab food on my way into work.

I enjoy going to Great Outdoors reminds me of the past the food is good but you can sure tell things are different with the portions. They are usually busy so you will have to wait if you go through the drive-thru but it is worth it.

Not enough meat on the sandwich Also the sandwich was not feeling well I got more meat on my sandwich from Subway it s pretty bad when you go out for lunch you leave and you re still hungry after paying $11 for a sandwich and a drink and some potato salad this is not a good value for the price staff was ok at best Won t be coming back to the sandwich shop ever again
