We came across Mr. Tako when driving to another place, we looked them up and went there that same day because we had to try them. We only tried the Asada Fries this time and man were they good. The lady taking our order was soo nice, she let my husband taste 2 of the drinks to make sure he liked them before buying them. We will be back to try more good.

Delicious! Authentic Mexican food. Salsa is HOT! Gotta be ready for it. They have the common meats and will also do veggie tacos. Veggies only included bell peppers and onions, wished they had other veggies but it was still delicious. Staff is very nice and professional. Must try!

On one visit about 2 months ago, I have witnessed the cook go open the freezer door go inside to get products out and returned back to the prep station to make food...All using the same gloves! I asked if they can change the gloves before they prepped my food...and when I mentioned it...I was basically ignored as if it was no problem what they were doing. The Hostess was nice about the situation and tried to make some excuse for the kitchen crew...and asked if they can change gloves(after my food was made) I seriously question if the sanitation here is up to Code from just seeing that alone. Not to mention my order was wrong...and they just simply stated ...oh were out of shredded chicken. I think that would be something to say before Ive paid my money...smh. Upon a more recent visit...to try and redeem for another attempt. I tried to watch very closely as they prepped my food to make sure no obvious cross contaminating was taking place...but they hid well behind the counter...so you really dont know if clean gloves are being used or not...There was ABSOLUTELY no flavor to the steak tacos I ordered..NONE. in my opinion, there are too many inconsistencies in how the food is prepared because 2 other guest before me had to put table salt on their Tacos...and Yes, they were awfully bland when I got mine and tasted. One of the cooks tells me... nobody else complained (after saying hes not a Chef)...just not the best customer service, Which Im okay with cause I prefer they keep it real with me. The owners could really use a suggestion box for Feedback...Cause Im certainly not one wanting to complain...just want these establishments to start accepting the feedback as not complaints, try to better accommodate the consumer and provide good quality service/food. I probably will not come back here...or the other dozen of my family and friends that visit here. Roaches There were 2 Huge Cockroaches climbing up the wall next to the booth I was sitting in. Host stated they were having pest control come out to remediate.

Just had one of the worst experiences at Mr. Tako. While I think the food is amazing. The young guy that s the manager has a very nasty and condescending attitude. I ordered the nachos and burrito. Once I received my order, I noticed that the nachos didn t have much cheese, at least not visible to the eye. I asked him if I could get some extra cheese, which I didn t mind paying for. I lifted up all of the chips so he can see how dry the chips was. He then told me that all the cheese was on top, again not visible to the eye. Second issue, we ended up biting into the burrito and to notice we only tasted veggies and rice. Open the burrito and there was hardly any meat inside. At that point I didn t want the burrito anymore and I was going to order tacos. Never asked for my money back. I was gonna chalk that up as a loss and just order the tacos. The manager was so nasty and rude. We ended up walking out, leaving all of the food. We asked him for his name, and he was unwilling to give his name. By this is one of the worst experiences I ve ever experienced from a restaurant. However the young lady at the register was extremely nice. Ended up leaving her a tip. Again, although we love the food, in my opinion some of the best Pastor I ve had in Dallas metro but we will never come back.

The food was really good and the service was excellent!! The only reason Im giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because they dont update their menu prices on Google maps. I was told that the prices on Google maps are about 3 years old and they have gone up considerably. For example Google maps says a fajita taco costs $1.69 but it now actually costs $2.89. Thats a big difference. I ordered anyway and got 1 fajita taco, 1 barbacoa taco and 1 crispy beef taco. They were all very tasty. Ill definitely come back if Im in town but at least then Ill be better prepared for the price. It wont be such a surprise (I hope) unless they change them considerably again. Parking: The restaurant is located in a very small strip mall so the parking is somewhat limited.

I found my new go-to taco place. Came in today for the first time, and this is where I will come every time I am in the area and need a taco fix. I am not super adventurous, so I stuck with my usual beef fajita street tacos. The flavor was great and they fill the tacos well. The best thing about it was out of 5 tacos, not one piece of gristle! Not one. We try a lot of taco spots and that has never happened. Ever. My husband and mother-in-law both got the chicken fajita chimichanga (which was huge!) and they agreed that it was delicious. If you are in the area, I highly recommend stopping by.

Ordered ground beef nachos and drove 10 miles to pick up. Chips were stale and the entire bottom of the container had so much grease that you couldnt even eat them. I dont know how you can make nachos bad but they succeeded. Terrible!!! Taco Bell would have been better and I dont recommend Taco Bell either. Eleven dollars and they told me I need to bring the food back for a refund. Lol They could have just said we will replace your next meal,etc. But now I have to drive back into Mckinney to get this resolved. I will just post this instead.

I m a regular customer of them .. they messed up on a order twice that they make for me 4 days a week. I also found multiple hair pieces in my food and when asked to get a buyer guarantee refund because I was overall dissatisfied and disappointed since they make it so often .. I was told by Moses the owner I would have drive 40 minutes back to there establishment with all the food just to get my issue resolved they fried and tacos are stale and dry don t recommend spending your hard earned money here try next door One and Only Burger they have better food variety and customer service made me feel welcome and better tasting quality in food

Been here 3x. Got carnitas and hard shell beef tacos 1st time , 2nd time got flautas appetizer and Texas nachos , and 3rd time I got beef enchilada plate with queso and more carnitas tacos. I got 3 barbacoa tacos and literally 2 of them were nothing but fat. They used to have clean meat with little to no fat, idk what happened.

My co-worker introduced me to this place for lunch one day. Let me tell yall these tacos were incredible not sure whos momma was in the kitchen but boy the flavors with the green salsa could not amount to any other taco places Ive tried! We now eat here once a week! Id love to see this place expand to other areas. Thanks for the great food!

My wife and I have been here many times over the years. Food has always been great. Today was a little different. Meat just wasnt cooked the same. Not as grilled or fried. Maybe thats a good thing health wise? I just thought the meat tasted boiled. I will still be coming back because this place has always been good. Probably just an off day today.

I give it 3.5 stars. Excellent tacos. Tortas were ok but would have been better if they used a good bolillo. The bread used instead tasted like hamburger buns. Will definitely be back for tacos.

Red and green salsas were delicious, we had the fajita tacos very tasty. The corn tortillas were super good, made with quality ingredients. The place is very clean and Excellent customer service.
