We love this restaurant. Great sauces and even better margaritas! The black bean dip is awesome. Good luck eating a meal after filling up on it. Honestly though, weve had many different meals and its always served fast and the service is always great. Tell a few friends, but not too many, we still want to be able to get in.

Both the food and service were great. However, I had a $50 gift card that was purchased at the Allen location and was told that they would not honor it at the McKinney location, which is incredibly frustrating. I had also messaged them on Facebook to express how sad I was that they were closing and they gladly referred me to the McKinney location insinuating that they were the same restaurant. I left with a bad taste in my mouth and a $50 giftcard that is now apparently useless.

Edit: Only 3 Stars Don t ask to substitute a side - used to be a favorite place to bring the family. Just wanted to change one soup for another on one of the meals, didn t mind an up charge - but was told No, we don t do that - had to ask for the manager, acted like it was a big deal to change it. Next time, if we come back, will just order a side of soup we like in addition as apparently swapping a side out needs to have a manager brought in. Previous Post: Food was excellent, great flavors and fresh! The most meatiest taco I have ever had, outstanding! Service was great from stepping in the door to exiting. We will definitely be back and bring our friend and family when they visit.

My wife and I have been dining here for about a year. We eat at Mesas at least one a week. The food, atmosphere, and staff is exceptional. When we walk in the host and servers always greet us, and meet us at out table with our go to beverages. We love everything about this restaurant and believe you will too. Give it a try.

Ordered the street tacos Al Pastor for deliver. These were not good. They were swimming in grease as to make them inedible. Meat was overcooked and had no flavor. It comes with rice but not beans so I had to order beans as a side. You should have an option to switch them out. Used to like this place. Plus there prices are high for what you get.

The chips and black bean dip are great, and the salsa is mediocre. The waiter provided good service. However were the worst fajitas I have ever ordered at a restaurant. I had the steak and chicken combination and the meat tasted as if it had zero seasonings, the onions had no seasoning at all. The onions were not cooked enough, the chicken was okay, but the beef that was supposed to be steak was absolutely horrible. Didnt even eat it. The rice and beans were good. And the cheese enchiladas were actually very good. Just do not order fajitas.

This is a no-frills type of restaurant without any elaborate decor. Nevertheless, you can get great food at very reasonable prices here! The lunch specials are worth taking a look at. The complimentary chips and salsa/bean dip were also very good! Regarding the entrees, the food was served hot and tasted good overall. Service was always very attentive and prompt! Ive eaten in the restaurant and ordered to-go food on different occasions, and have been pleasantly surprised by how quick this restaurant has the food ready. Will definitely be back next time!

This place is amazing! We came here for lunch one day when it was quite busy. Although the place was packed, our food came out pretty quickly. Our waiter was also so attentive and came by our table to ask if we needed water refills at least 3 times - seriously superb service! I ordered the enchiladas lunch special and the portion was just right and not super oily/heavy so I was able to go back to work without food coma slowing me down. 5 stars.

Sour cream chicken enchiladas were great, had to use knife to cut through the enchilada because it was full of meat (a good thing), sour cream sauce was delicious. Rice was flavorful and even better with the sour cream sauce mixed in. Chips, Bean dip and salsa also good. Bean dip is comparable to Glorias. Chicken tortilla soup is a chicken broth base, very good. The cup has a generous portion of chicken meat inside. Charro beans are fantastic with bacon pieces and onion inside. Full of flavor. Restaurant is clean, was not busy at 330 on a Wednesday. Waiter was friendly and FAST. I ordered my food and it came out in record time and piping hot. As soon as I took my final sip from my cup, the waiter was back to refill. I sat for less than 20 seconds without a drink. I also noticed that Wednesday is free kids entree with an adult entree over $13. Overall, this was a great visit and I will most definitely be back.

Honestly, one of the worst Tex Mex meals I ve had. The food came out in less than a minute, and I m not joking. It was obviously nuked in the microwave. The food is good but their Take Out / To Go service is the absolute worst. They consistently forget items, Fajitas without tortillas just isn t the same. Tonight they completely forgot my Wife s meal. I wish they would do what Ernesto s Mexican Restaurant does, when you go pick up your To Go order they have everything individually boxed up and spread out on a large waiters tray. They go line by line down the receipt, opening the To Go containers to show you what s inside them. This double check method is great because if something is missing you know before you leave the restaurant. I d much rather know before I leave the restaurant than realize they forgot part of my meal after I ve driven back home. I really wish Mesa s would improve their take out system. It seems pretty simple to me, you have an itemized receipt that lists each and every item you ordered. A simple check mark by each item as you bag it, would work.

The food was delicious, the waiter Alberto was very attentive to us, I went with my service dog and he attended to it when making the order, offering us water or ice for her due to the heat since we were outside. Unfortunately, the person in charge of the place yesterday did not have the best attitude with my service dog looking at her in a bad way. He came to the table with a bad attitude to ask me if it was a service dog since they do not accept dogs there. I told him if she was a service dog and he continued with a bad attitude and went to another table. My dog never barked while we were there, she only barked when the man came to the table with his bad attitude, how sad that they have people like that working in restaurants.

Last Friday, May 12, 2023, I placed an order by phone to pick it up, I actually did and when I got home to enjoy my favorite dish (I have been their customer for more or less two years), I was surprised that I didnt get what I had ordered, I immediately called them: but they told me to return it and I didnt have time, because its with family, the manager told me to come later and they would give me a credit, which I accepted. On Sunday, May 15, I went to get the credit: but I told them that I wanted the food better, the waitress said she was going to call the manager, this person didnt help me and told me that because of my attitude (possibly the tone of They didnt like my voice) the RELIEF was not going to solve me, which I accepted totally DISSATISFIED. I will NOT consume any food at the Mesas Grill restaurant chain again. This originates from BAD CUSTOMER service and INEPTITUDE, towards a TRADITIONAL client. They definitely have a good spot in Mckinney location wise. However, there were a few things that need attention. The restaurant was not packed, and the service should have been way better. They did get an extra star because they will accommodate a special request. Even though it came out cold. All of the food items came out cold. The waitress did not come back to ask how we were doing after she dropped off the food. So we decided to just ask her for a box when she brought the ticket. We brought the food home and heated it up. It was good. It seems like its a Hispanic run restaurant, but they certainly need to realize that all customers are important. Otherwise, theyll stay just as unknown as they are right now. This was the first and last time we will visit. Sad because were only 7 min from them. The manager that seated us was not very welcoming either. I guess its true what they say You are only as good as your leader.

This place was good when it opened. Now it is terrible. I make better mexican food at home and can prepare it quicker. The food our last visit just a few days ago was worse then Taco Bell. Things need to change. Food is NOT good!!!

Driving down Eldorado decided to try this place. Had lunch and ate at the bar. No one was in there so service was pretty good. The so called music they had on sounded like navy seal torture music. For 10 mins solud sounded like someone banging a top of a trash can. Had enchiladas one beef one chicken. Beef was taco meat in a dry tortilla with watered down hormel chili poured over. Chicken was clumpy and dry with dry tortilla and cream sauce. Cream sauce was only thing good about it and I didnt get much. Rice was moist and cooked properly but kinda tasted like the music. If I had not been so hungry I would have walked out. Ice water was good . Tea was $3.25 is there something in this tea Im not aware of? Maybe the other entrées are ok but cant imagine it.

I have been eating here for a long time. The chicken is cooked w flavor and juicy. I always have the hardest time finding places that cook the chicken properly. I love yall Mesas!! Keep up the great work.

This place has been amazing! We have had consistent food, flavors, service!! We feel at home and very welcome not to mention the food reminds me sooooo much to growing up with my grandmother in Mexico, the place and food brings back happy memories!! Thank you Jorge Serrano for great service, Jorge 2, Cesar and Miguel!!! Dietary restrictions: My husband watches his diet but this place offers options and great accommodations!

Had the fajitas combo meat selection. The beef wasnt cooked well enough for me. Looked grayish and slightly rubbery. They include large wedges of potato in it, that was different and didnt add to the flavor of the dish. Nothing memorable.

Food was great, service good too! Didn t wait long for the main course to arrive. Chips and black bean dip/salsa were plentiful. Not too busy on weekend, HUGE plus. Portion size average for Mexican place. Food is on par with other places at this price point.
