On October 4th at 7pm, the bartender asked for IDs, I gave her my ID IN HER HAND. She placed my ID on the COUNTER. I politely asked her to give me back my card in my HAND please. She looked at me and said I dont have to! I asked for the manager and stated her customer service was horrible. She said she was the manager, AND refused to give me her name. I walked towards the secret room to take a picture with the props, but yet she came from behind the bar grabbed my arm, pulled on my shirt and screamed at me to leave. I told her to get her hands off of me or else. My husband stated she then went into the kitchen and grabbed something. I told her to PLEASE call the police because she was putting her hands on a pregnant woman. She backed down! But WHY is a worker physically attacking customers??? Just call the police! Wonder bar, do better in training for conflict management and customer service!!!! The owners should be able to tell who the worker was that particular night and need to be aware of this incident as well.

The folks that are working here now are the absolute worst! I ve been here a few times in the past and it s been a great but these last few times have been different. All the workers care about is socializing with each other. They constantly close the bar 30 mins before the actual closing time and will get an attitude if you even bother to ask if they re still open. One lady even rolled her eyes at me when I asked if they were open still. Me and my family are from out of town and I was dying to show them this place but was turned away so rudely. Not a good look

i just get to the bar and order first round of drinks for 5 people, and the bartender charges me $212 for another persons tab when i just got there when my tab was originally supposed be be only $54. how do you charge the wrong card for a person who JUST got there and i said closed tab in the first place also? how do you charge the wrong tab for a different persons card in the first place?

Wonder Bar is an absolute disgrace and the worst place to grab a drink, especially if you re part of the LGBT community. The blatant discrimination I faced there was unbelievable. The moment I walked in, I was told that men aren t allowed to carry bags, yet women could. But guess what? Once inside, I saw straight men with tote bags! When I confronted the bar staff, their pathetic excuse was that they can t control what they do. This place is beyond disgusting, and their treatment of LGBT customers is appalling.

This place needs to update the actual time they open. Me & my friends are out of town trying to make the most of our time. We made it exactly at 1500 but the doors were locked and it was some random guy sleeping in front of the doors. Me and my friends had to walk around not really even knowing where we were going because they wasn t open at the correct time. Spent unnecessary money wanting on them to open.

We had a great time! Super cute and great crowd. We paid $20 to park right across the street but there was no cover to get in. Nice indoor and outdoor spaces plus the ice bar which was my fav since it was so hot outside it was nice to have a place to cool down!!

Came here for my first time visiting houston, the staff was so painfully rude upon arrival and tried to charge me $100 to get in for some made up reason. Awful experience would never ever spend money at a place like this there are so many better bars around there. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

I was on a girls trip & we visited this location. The staff were not friendly or welcoming at all! The bartenders acted like they had an attitude the whole time while making our drinks not to mention drinks are overpriced for you not to be able to keep the patron cup! It just was mediocre to me nobody was in there but us it was very empty. It s a cool spot to take pictures, after the pictures there s nothing else to do.

NO STARS. My friends and I stopped by last night (Sunday 4/28) and when I say the two bartenders were sooooo damn drunk they couldn t even function. I ordered three wheel shots, and told her to hold my tab open.. then she looks at me with this blank stare and I m like are you ready to go to the wheel? I ordered three of them and she goes no you didn t . I said you just started my tab she says what s the name? LIKE GIRL BFFR. This was a 30 second interaction. We finally get her to the wheel and start to spin. We won two drinks and a prize. We had to walk her through opening the prize door so my friend can pick her prize and once we got back to the bar to receive the drinks that we won, the bartender refuses to give us our drinks because she said we didn t win anything. Like girl we took videos this is all a matter of like 5 minutes. So now I m ready to go and she acts like she can t find my card. The manager comes out and he s snappy and aggressively asking how can I help you. I m trying to explain what just happened and he keeps cutting me off and yelling OK BUT HOW CAN I HELP YOU . Like bruh just give me my card back and void my tab. I ve come to this location times before and enjoy myself but last night was a disgrace. My friends and I all bartend and while I m all for a lil drinky drink on the clock, there s no way they should ve been that sloppy trying to get to serve people. And it always smells like pee in there.

First time here. Horrible experience! Rude employees. We stopped in here with a large group after our amazing & fun Pedal Party experience (where we visited several awesome bars- all which we enjoyed). It was my friend s bday! The rude bartender kept shouting at us that we could not take a picture without paying? What? Never heard of such of such a thing in my life. Not to mention, she was extremely rude! Why did she have to shout across the bar? The guy at the front made a rude comment to my friend as well. We immediately left and went somewhere else. The bar was dead- maybe this is why. Maybe start with nicer employees . This was the only bar we stopped at this day that was not busy & that we did not enjoy.

3/30/24 we showed up with 2 party buses for our bachelor / bachelorette party with 47 people and we were not allowed in there because the groom had a small tattoo on his face. One of the girls offered to cover it up with foundation and the doorman said no he would still not let us in! Then he wouldn t allow one of the girls go back in and close her tab and said she would be charged an extra 20% for not closing her tab out. That was just rude and so uncalled for I will never go there again! You ll lost out on making money off us because your doorman was a prick!

Cool atmosphere but I had a horrible experience. I ordered 5 drinks and got charged for 6. Asked to speak to a manager because it was wrong. The bartender said it s gonna be a minute, if I see a manager I ll tell them So the manager came back and said okay I ll take care of it . She came back and the amount was the exact same. She took off the drink, but added an included 20% gratuity that was not on the original receipt. So it came out to the same amount. The bartender was rude and the manager was slick.

The bouncer at the front was courteous and respectful. This place is definitely selfie material. The drinks were yummy for sure. I ordered the equivalent a margarita (in a cute patron bottle), and my husband asked the bartender for a recommendation since he didnt drink whatever was on the menu (hes extra). The bartender recommended something delicious for him, and my picky husband enjoyed it. The decorations for super cute! We went when it was decorated for Christmas, my favorite time of the year. The banana swings were so cute as well. We didnt use valet parking as we parked directly across the street (street parking for $1/hr). I will say. I wish this establishment had snacks/food. We were hungry so we had to leave to eat. Otherwise we would have stayed to have more yummy drinks. We will definitely be back again.

I visited during Halloween weekend when it was windy. It was a great place to go to take Instagram pictures. The drinks container was pretty, but I couldnt keep it. The drinks were water down, and I personally did not care for the limites selection for drinks. However, it might have been a limited dri k menu due to the holiday.

This place was awesomely decorated for Halloween. There were several places for photo opportunities. The place was packed. It didnt take long to oder at the bar, but the lemon drop shots I ordered were not made well. I ordered 9 lemon drop shots and was charged over $100. In my opinion the cost was too high. I loved it here. The bouncers were nice to us. The bartenders were friendly. We had no issues. It is way smaller than I thought it would be so it s really only a 1 drink bar. It s great for photos & I definitely recommend checking out at-least once. I was hesitant to go here based on other reviews, but glad I checked it out. I just wish I went at a different time, the themes were Halloween so it wasn t the best photo backgrounds.

The truth is that if I could give 0 stars I would. Yesterday the doorman at that place really ruined my Birthday plans. I had everything planned to go with my friends and family to celebrate my birthday there. My husband and I arrived exactly at 5pm (time that is on the website that is supposed to open) And I approached to ask if I could enter now and that man yelled at me in a horrible way. He said: 15 MINUTES!!!! And he slammed the door in our faces. My husband was very upset and rightly so. Because after that unpleasant action, it was no wonder. In addition, he had opened the door for a girl in front of us and slammed the door in the face of some clients who came to spend the afternoon and evening with a group and who planned to consume a lot. The truth is that I will never recommend this site again. I used to do it a lot because I like the decoration of the place and it seemed different to me. But between the mistreatment and discrimination that was felt yesterday on such a special date, neither I nor any of my friends or family will return. THE WORST EXPERIENCE!!!!!

Incident: 8/6 1am ish Truly disappointing. Not an lgbtq+ friendly establishment. My friend was told he could not go in because of said purse in photo. The bouncer was extremely rude and said men are not allowed in with purses. Our girl friend decided to get the crossbody and take it in herself thinking (okay no big deal, I m a girl I can take it in then) the ID checker told us we could go in and the other bouncer saw and yelled at her you get out! Our friend who was wearing the crossbody was upset & told the bouncer if you re homophobic just say that which to he replied men shouldn t be wearing purses. He had been to this bar many times and was the one who suggested it. Never would have imagined we would all be turned down because of this. He felt very sad and upset, as did we! We do not care that we could not get into this bar, we are upset at the reasons why. It s 2023 y all, y all need to do better.

This bar does not open on time. We decided to take pictures while waiting for them to open at 5. At 5:10, a man comes out and tells us he needs to close the gate, putting us out into the heat and off the patio. I used to love this place. We had a friend visiting from out of town and was excited to bring him here. He was wearing a white t-shirt and they told him he can t come in with a white t shirt. As we are talking to the bouncer about how he can t come in with a white t shirt a WHITE MAN walked out in a white tee. We will call a spade a spade and a racist establishment a RACIST ESTABLISHMENT!!!! Very rude staff. Went on a Sunday night .Bartender refused to acknowledge us. Had to beg for assistance. And another was rude after we got feedback from a patron (white male) that another section of the bar was open for pictures because a bartender said it was a nice place to take pictures and helped take there pictures there. We walked to this section and SAID BARTENDER told us to get out rudely assuming we undertook that we did something wrong. But that was our bad for thinking people like us would get the benefit of the doubt. The patron even came over to say he didn t understand why the bartender reacted that at when he was so nice to them. But we are brown so we should have known better I suppose. Smh. Very disappointing. But when you know you know. Won t be back. Ever. Im disgusted and will be speaking to other management about this in the coming days. Too many people have similar experiences here and that s not a coincidence.

Place is a must go just for pictures but as far as the drinks don t bother. They re about 14-18 for one and very watered down. Almost felt like the forgot the liquor. The place is tiny so hopefully you go when it s not too crowded.

Not LGBTQ friendly and staff is hateful. They don t let people cross dress, or wear sneakers. Girls can go in with baggy pants but not guys. Dress code is racist. Guys can t go in with a bag but girls can, and guys can t wear a revealing top but girls can. The bartender refused to serve my friend because according to him he waved at his face. He only did one singular wave from a distance when he was next.

So recently I tried to enter this bar with a few friends of mines and was turned away because they were full . As I proceed to leave out the line the bouncer continues to accept more people into the club. It seemed as if they were only allowing white people in as I watched from distance. Everybody that were a black male was denied entry. I never felt so discriminated at any place like this. RACIST BAR IN HOUSTON , DO NOT RECOMMEND NOR VISIT THIS HELL HOLE! I recently tried coming to this establishment with a group of friends and everybody was being let in until it was my turn. They said I couldn t come in because I was wearing Jordan s or dunks . I was wearing a brand new pair of Mocha Jordan 1 s. These shoes cost over $200 retail and resale for triple their amount, and I wasn t allowed to come in just because I was wearing them. What s even crazier is that they were allowing people who were wearing running shoes and flip flops in. I would NOT recommend coming here if you have similar style. I also heard they were racist. TON s of other bars you can spend your money at.

Wow, the discrimination against shoes is ridiculous. A friend of mine wore his Jordans and was told he couldnt enter the bar. Im wearing $20 Reebok athletic shoes and had no problem. What really kills me is that I saw others walking out with Jordans on... literally could wear Crocs and get in, but If you wear nice , $200 all leather Jordans you are stereotyped... Never again will we come back,, I hope yall are ready for law suits.

Cool place, very aesthetic, areas to take nice pictures but not very clean. The chairs do not look like theyve been wiped down probably since theyve opened. All the table tops are sticky with drink residue. Speaking of drinks theyre more juices/chasers than alcohol(so like weak af...not a full shot worth goes into the drinks) and for 14$ a drink thats a lil sus...the music is loud af. Like you have to basically scream to hear yourself or anyone talk. I give it a 3 bc Im generous and the only thing that saved it from getting a 2 is the aesthetic

super cute however I was charged the wrong amount. I was given the wrong receipt I brought it to the bartenders attention they apologised and brought me my correct one however I was charged the wrong one plus tip. I got two drink before tip it should have been around 28 but I was charged 56. I tried to contact them and nothing...my bank wont do anything because I did not keep my receipt. So check your receipt and make sure to hold on to them.
