Lots of praise for this wonderful store and owner Andy Doyle and his expertise. Great selection of real quality wine and liquor. Will provide wonderful advice that expands your knowledge and tastes. Will find the hard to find and get it in. Staff is smart and helpful and will follow up. Highly recommend and very reasonable prices. They were the best wine merchant in McKinney for years before hard liquor was approved. Now they are the best liquor store too. Worth the drive if you dont live here. Saves a drive if you do. The best.

Visited the new location next to Big Lots. Great selection continues to grow, and friendly and knowledgeable staff make this one of my top spots for wine, spirits and unusual microbrews. Prices were aligned with the market. Give them a try!

Excellent. We drive almost an hour to go here on special occasion. Recommended by a co-worker with a sizable wine collection. Their selection isnt vast, but its curated, and extremely varied in region and price. We bought a bottle for my brother, who likes Spanish wines, and it turned out to be a bottle he drank on his honeymoon with the owner of the vineyard. Thats the quality of selection youre getting. And each time we go, something great is on sale at huge value.

This place is truly a diamond in the rough. When you walk inside the store, you feel like youve been transported to a high end shopping center. I was originally sceptical about the prices, thinking I would pay more to buy from a small store, but Ive done head-to-head comparisons with one of the discount big box liquor/wine stores and McKinney Wine Merchant came out on top in each instance. Andy Doyle, the proprietor, is incredibly well versed and wont steer you wrong. Their monthly or every other month wine clubs offer a fun way to try new selections, while getting an education on different wine types you might not otherwise try.

One of McKinneys modern day treasures! Opened 6 years ago and still going strong. Solid variety of wines sold at reasonable (and sometimes great) prices by a wine lover following his passion. With the owner being involved in the wine industry for many years, a visit is much more like a mini trip to Napa then swinging by Market Street and gambling on the advice of todays sommelier in he wine dept.
