The taste of the food is incredible, I guess thats how they cook in Japan. It is a fresh and delicious flavor, the quantities are just right to fill my stomach. I was satisfied with the taste of the Texas roll and rainbow roll. In particular, the sushi and sashimi in the bento are so soft that they seem to melt in your mouth. I was surprised that the Green Tea Mont Blanc had a balanced and harmonious taste of green tea, red beans, and bread!

My boyfriend and I went here on a date tonight. Danny served us and hes amazing! There are a variety of Maki rolls, some of which are very different than most of the other places Ive gone too. The jalapeno madness, samurai and panic rolls are all incredible and fresh. This is definitely my new spot. Parking: There was a sign for a parking garage but the only one I found was for residents of the apartments nearby.

Went last night with my husband. Enjoyed everything from the service to the drinks and the sushi. We had peach warm sake which was really good & a very nice amount for $8 (add a $1 for any flavors) Ivy was our server and she was very attentive. We also loved the flavor of the Japanese Fried Rice. I think it would even be good without any meat. It s the perfect date night spot or little place to have a chill no hassle dinner. This is our new cozy spot.

Wandered over here and the vicinity is gorgeous, especially perfect to walk on a beautiful day. The restaurant is small but well furnished. I had the tempura udon bowl with spicy tuna roll and the green tea Mont blanc, which I had never heard of up to this point. The udon was perfectly flavored and cooked to chewy perfection, though I wish there were more toppings to it. Very basic bowl. Tuna roll was fresh. The green tea Mont blanc was a bit bland - the green tea flavor was mild, the cake base was soft, the whipped cream tasted as made from scratch. My coworker got the green tea ice cream which looked amazing and she had no regrets.

I was excited to try this place after seeing all the positive reviews, but was not wowed... It looks very nice from the outside, but pretty small and a bit dusty inside. Service was okay and could improve by at least removing empty dishes throughout the service. We came during happy hours and were surprised that the miso soup had to be ordered separately, which came without tofu inside. Sushi came out fast and Im not sure if its a good thing as the rolls were not firm and were actually deconstructing as you pick them. I was even more disappointed to see the sushi chef picking on his nails right at the station after we already ate. Not worth coming back for me.

Ordered to-go. Very friendly service. I thought it was a bit odd that my sushi was ready just THREE minutes after I placed my order (ordered at 5:28P, ready to pickup at 5:31P). I even called to confirm it was actually ready and not a glitch. Sushi seemed as though it had been sitting for a while - see browned avocado. Gyoza cold and chewy. With how fast it was prepared for pickup, wondering if the rolls were premade? I ll give it another try, but definitely disappointed.

Love that they have more than one non-rice roll, but not that only one is without asparagus. Who eats asparagus!? Whats the benefit?! Anyway, you can order sans asparagus. Food was great. We got the spider roll, popcorn shrimp roll, and volcano roll and each one was delicious. I have never seen anything like the volcano roll and it was superb. The crab tasted like real crab instead of imitation and the scallops were the cherries on top. In addition, our server was very attentive and answered all the questions we had.

In general, the rolls and the sashimi is ok, except that one single piece of tuna that they gave us. Price is really reasonable if you come for lunch. However, one thing that I wanna point out is: the quality of the water is bad. It has a strong taste of those copper pipes. It s really time to add filter or clean up the water pipe as the owner of the restaurant. Any restaurant serve weird taste of water is a big red flag to me as they use those water to cook/clean those food we eat.

Beautiful location with stunning views. The restaurant is very budget friendly, it is very clean and the quality is very good. We ordered the teriyaki bento box, yellowtail and a California roll. The food came out in a timely manner, our water was kept full throughout our dinner. The staff were so friendly and attentive, providing excellent service. I was craving sushi after moving here from California. I was skeptical that sushi here I. Texas could be as good as that I ve had in San Diego but I was removed to be proven wrong. This cute little area (Adriatica Village I think it s called) had cobble streets and European looking buildings and a lane and HUGE homes to see. The sushi place was nice and clean with a friendly server. I tired a bento box because I wanted a cross section of foods to try. It was delicious and huge I could barely eat it all. The sushi was fresh and delicious. I will be back to try more food. My ONLY MINOR Complaint is that it was freeing cold inside but that s common here due to the heat outside people crank the AC. I need to bring sweaters everywhere I guess.

Since moving here out of state, this palce has been the BEST place in town for sushi, my family has consistently enjoyed coming too. Borum and her staff have done a GREAT job running this place for the owners (who thankfully- stepped away from the business). She and her team have done a fantastic job, turning around management and moral here and Im happy for her and her team that this place is FINALLY thriving! I actually used to work here, so I know a thing or two about how much this place has changed for THE BETTER, since Borum started to run the business. My family has come back to dining here because of her and the improvements shes made. We hardly ever have to wait long for a table, the staff treats us like VIP and the quality grade sushi is the best your gonna get here in this town- trust me. Food was average, so was the service, but the atmosphere was blah. Only my waiter was warm and inviting (he was the only one who smiled), other employees were just doing their jobs. Tidy the place up. It has a tossed together look and feel from the sushi bar. Act like your mom is coming to dinner and find a better place for the height chair, beer tap and wipe down the bathroom sink. I felt like I dropped by without calling first. It had a lived in look when a professional Japanese sushi bar has a place for everything and everything is in its place.

Umai Sushi has a poor selection of small, overpriced, food items. The portions I ordered didnt satisfy my hunger, my iced green tea lacked flavor, and my environment felt poisonous. Not a great place to go on a Saturday evening. At least I know how to make tempura cheesecakes. Find a Japanese restaurant thats authentic and generous.

Came on Thursday for dinner with a group of friends. Us 5 ordered 5 rolls and 1 tonkatsu and barely feel full after. Tonkatsu was quite dry, was expecting it to come with some veggies too but just only rice and the fried pork - so definitely don t recommend this. Sushi rolls are quite small and thin for the price, however they taste good. The other reason for lower rating is the wait. We waited a long time to order and then waited even much longer to get our food. We came in with not too hungry and ended up eating food with hangry attitude :( If you have plenty of time and not too hungry, then it s not a bad place to try as there are not many sushi place near by

I m going to be honest I ve never been into this establishment but have ordered through Uber eats countless of times.I usually get the spicy ahi tuna tower ,shrimp tempura roll, & the pork gyoza. The Ahi tuna tower is so fresh, the tuna melts in your mouth and surprisingly don t need to chew as much. The caviar just adds to the nice little crunches throughout eating. The shrimp tempura roll is great as well for those who don t eat raw sushi or sashimi. The pork gyoza is flavorful and always piping hot when I order. I never have an issue ordering with this place. This is always my go to and will remain that way!

When I visited Adriatica Village in McKinney, I found Umai Sushi and I was not disappointed. They were delicious and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. The ambience is good and the price is reasonable.

We passed by this cozy sushi place a few times and finally got to try it tonight. Friendly staff, tasty food Shrimp tempura was good as a starter but don t have a photo of it since it disappeared within seconds. For rolls, we got rainbow, devil s something, and firecracker. The last one was the best and rainbow was too tame for my taste. We ll be back.

I have eaten here more than once and have also previously ordered food to go. This was probably the only time Ive been a little disappointed. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box Dinner. I really wanted steak teriyaki but its no longer on the menu. All of the people who work here are very friendly and professional. They always pack up the orders really well, everything is wrapped up with sauces and dressings on the side. The chicken was a little overcooked and dry and didnt have much flavor. It wasnt coated in teriyaki sauce, it just was sitting on top of a small amount of teriyaki sauce. And then there were some onions and vegetables on top of the chicken. The rest of the meal was good but the chicken was definitely disappointing.
