Incredible!! The food was very delicious and the service was impeccable. The atmosphere is very calm and sophisticated without being stuffy. The portion sizes are perfect too, not too small and not too big. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for high quality Italian cuisine. 10/10 all around! One thing I will mention is that parking can be kind of difficult because the parking lot isn t very big, so just a heads up there.

I went there for my birthday on a Friday evening with my two children and husband. I did not ha e a reservation so before we got off my husband asked the hostess if they could seat us out in the patio. My husband even asked about our two children. The lady said it was fine and that they could sit us. We were seated in a nice corner in the patio patiently waiting for our server. They never came to even acknowledge us and ask for our drinks. Another couple walked in after us and were seated right next to us. Immediately within seconds a waiter arrived and started to chat and make food and drink recommendations to them. We waited a few more minutes and again nothing, not even for drinks. We finally got up and left. The hostess didnt even bother to find out why we were leaving. She used a very pedantic tone of voice as she simply said bye. That is too bad as this restaurant is close to my home. It could have been a favorite if the food is even good but based on their 4.4 star average its on par with mediocre joints.

Cute little Italian place. 3 stars based on 1 dining experience, hopefully the food and service is better regularly. Calamari was a little rubbery and parmigiana was a little overdone. Maybe the fryer was a little too hot? Not bad, but will again when we go back.

Tried brunch at Ciccio for the first time this past Sunday and it was amazing!! After dinning there in the evening multiple times and loving their Italian food, decided to come for brunch. Atmosphere was great as always on their beautiful dinning room. I had the Frittata and it was perfectly cooked, full of flavor and color. The portion size was great too. My friends had the Short Rib with Polenta and they were raving about it. Their tiramisu was delicious and they had a bottomless mimosas option on the menu which was great! The Chefs are always open to accommodating vegetarians too. Highly recommend it for brunch and special occasions. Vegetarian options: Chefs are always willing to remove meat from dishes or customize to accommodate. Parking: Plenty of parking available right out front, its in a big retail area. There is more parking available in the back too.

Truly some of the best food in DFW. Since it opened, it s become my husband and I s go to place. We are both foodies and are especially picky. Our favorites are the burrata (best I ve had so far in dfw), gnocchi and short rib, ossobuco with bone marrow, and duck confit. Never had a bad dish when we have gone.

(So I am editing this because I was here a few days ago for the second time. This time was not so good! The nuts were missing from my beet salad and it did not taste like it did before. I was not able to eat my brick baked chicken. It was inedible. It was a big change from my first experience 5 days before.) This place was incredible. we have eaten at some of the finest restaurants in North Texas over the last decade, and this has to be one of my favorites. The food is fresh amazing and has a variety of fine foods.

We decided to dine here on a casual Friday evening with the family. We had a 6:30 PM reservation, the restaurant quickly filled up, and it became quite busy. The ambiance was pleasant, though nothing particularly memorable. It had the typical cozy feel youd expect from an Italian restaurant, with soft lighting and a warm atmosphere. When it came to the food, it was decent certainly not bad, but nothing that would leave a lasting impression. The menu offered the usual Italian staples, and while everything we ordered was prepared well enough, there was no dish that really wowed us. The flavors were what you d expect, neither disappointing nor exceeding expectations. It was, in every sense, middle-of-the-road. The food, service, and ambiance are all perfectly fine, making it a safe choice for a casual meal. However, if youre looking for something more exciting or distinctive, this might not be the place. It s a reliable option for a typical dinner out, but nothing that would make you rush back for more.

Very disappointed! Brought my wife for what we hoped to be an elegant atmosphere, quality food, and excellent service. Dropped by in the early afternoon to place our reservation; showed up, and we were not in the system. Hostess was a real snob, apparently thinks working in this restaurant makes her elite. Tried to seat us right next to a table of 14 with 8 noisy little kids. Moved, but the acoustics in this place are terrible! Never did catch our waiters name, and my wife and I had to lean over the table to hear each other. Wifes lobster ravioli had a few, very small pieces (we think). My shrimp linguine had very chewy, over-cooked shrimp and tasteless sauce. Save yourself 50% off the bill at one of many nicer restaurants for a special event dinner within a 5 mi. radius. We wont return. Kid-friendliness: Oh, definitely!

Cecilia, our server was extremely knowledgeable but also very eager to speak with the Chef to accommodate all my quirky needs. She was there every time we needed her without over kill. The Octopus was the best I ve eaten anywhere. Cooked to perfection with fried potatoes in EVOO and the decadent sauce to enhance the flavor was just flawless. The Panna Cotta with the fresh berries was in my opinion one of the freshest and amazing desserts I ve eaten in many a meal. I will return often even though I live 30 miles away. It will be a new favorite go to for us and my whole family as we all enjoy clean, fresh foods! Job well done!!!

I cant believe Ive been passing by this hidden gem for almost two years without knowing what an incredible experience awaited inside! Situated in a strip mall, this Italian restaurant is a delightful surprise with its elegant yet casual atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. The attention to detail is impeccable, from the beautifully set silverware to the stylish dishes in which the food is served. We went for brunch and were blown away by the outstanding flavors. The Leg and Egg a delicious duck and waffle dish was nothing short of spectacular. The olive appetizer set the perfect tone, and the selection of desserts was divine. Our server was fantastic, offering attentive service and excellent recommendations throughout our meal. I love that I finally found an Italian restaurant that serves more than just pastas and pizzas. I wish I had discovered this place sooner. It truly was a 5-star culinary experience from start to finish. If youre in the neighborhood, do yourself a favor and stop by you wont be disappointed!

First off, we had a really great waiter. I gave the atmosphere a 4 because, while the patio is pleasant, they need to do something (like misters? Swamp coolers?) to mitigate the heat. Nothing wrong, they just dont get a 5... On the bright side, the patio is quieter and more relaxing. We had calamari and polenta for appetizers - the gorgonzola cream sauce for the polenta is on point! I had the Pollo Al Mattone... Good choice! Note that this dish is a VERY generous portion, so proceed with caution... But it is very good! The lemon butter and capers brighten it up, and the whole roasted(?) garlic cloves add some richness. Others in the party had Ciopino, and Duck Confit. All solid choices. Prices are surprisingly reasonable for the level of quality. You wont be disappointed!

Ive been here twice, once around the time they opened. The food and drinks were excellent. We had the sea bass, chicken and lasagna. The drinks were particularly good. My most recent visit was pleasant, with the exception of a bartender telling me my child could not sit with me and my mother . The hostess had told us the bar was full service and open for us to dine (she saw I had a child with me). This happened to be right before mothers day and it was very busy. We didnt have a reservation but the bar was pretty open. I was shocked when he said this as its not against the law for a minor to sit at a restaurant bar. He said he could stand there but not sit at the bar we decided to leave. The hostess asked us on our way out why we were leaving and my mom informed her. The manager did get involved and offered us a table on the patio. Our waitress was fantastic and we loved the patio. All in all, it was a pleasant experience, and I would recommend this place to any adult. I understand it may not be appropriate for a child to sit with his mother at a restaurant bar, but it was all they had to offer. Im certain he would rather serve an adult alcohol to help out his tips.

My wife and I came here for the first time looking for an evening cocktail and desert destination. Unfortunately we did not have a great experience. The ambiance is nice, although we ordered an espresso martini that was made with hot espresso that melted the ice and made the cocktail taste like water. We asked if Baileys could be added, and it was rang up as a double because an ounce of Baileys was added. That was 20 dollars for espresso water with cream. We then ordered a Whiskey Sour with egg white, where half the egg yolk was dropped in by accident, and still shaken and served to us. I also ordered a McKinney Sour which is the same thing as the whiskey sour, but with wine and no egg white, and that was 12 dollars. But the whiskey sour was 17, and that was made with their well whiskey. So essentially, same drink, no wine, add egg white and its 5 dollars more expensive. We paid 54 dollars for 3 cocktails, very overpriced for the quality. Also the bartender did nothing but talk poorly about his wait staff that were clearly young and just trying to learn, and talk smack about the prior restaurants that he workd at. Happy to change my review if we have a better experience next time, but for the cost we are in no rush to return.

Having been customers of Mio Nonno in Allen, we thought wed try the sister restaurant and we found that we actually prefer Ciccio Trattoria! The food is fantastic! I highly recommend the polenta--it has such a delicious gorgonzola sauce that is rich and filling; paired with the cripy polenta and sage...YUM! Our server, Caitlyn, was so attentive. She knew the menu, answered our questions and didnt put any pressure on us despite the restaurants increasing occupancy. She was friendly and professional, a gem of a server! The gnocchi with rib was perfectly cooked, tender to the point of melting, but still juicy. The rigatoni with spicy vodka sauce and crispy leeks had a wonderful blend of textures and the sweetness of the spinach truly elevated the dish. For dessert, we finished off with the lemon panna cotta, with fresh berries and a berry sauce. It was light and refreshing, an excellent end to a delightful meal! The wine that we requested was out of stock or not available and they proposed an alternate similar wine which was horrible. I was told it is less price or equal but when the bill came out it was way more and I was given 8 dollar discount. It upset me but then I am not the one to create a scene. I paid and left. Food was ok and not really so good that it deserved the prices they claim.

I got the Ossobuco which to my absolute surprise came with a marrow bone! My wife got the Pappardelle which was her first time tasting lamb, she loved it. Dined here while traveling for business. Disappointing experience. We had reservations and were seated promptly. We ordered a bottle of wine, and the server returned and informed us that they were out of the wine we ordered. We made another selection and the server returned again to inform us that they did not have what we ordered. We made a third selection, and the server returned to tell us that they were also out of the third selection, but we were presented with a similar wine from the same vineyard. When a restaurant cannot maintain its inventory levels and offer what is on the menu, it almost always means the establishment is financially troubled. Suggest you exercise caution before giving this establishment a large banquet or catering deposit. We also ordered salads and entrees. Both were mediocre at best. Quantities were small for the prices charged--another indication that the establishment is struggling financially. This place is a one and done for us.

Coccio Trattoria, the Italian restaurant, offers a delightful blend of authentic flavors and European charm. The tasteful European decor creates a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The stylish presentation of dishes adds a touch of sophistication to the dining experience. Beyond the culinary delights, the attentive staff ensures a warm and welcoming service, making every visit a memorable occasion.

We had previously gone for a wedding reception and food was amazing. We raved to my mother in law, and brought her in tonight. Only thing good was the focaccia bread. My shrimp and lobster ravioli was over cooked my sons pasta was over cooked and the manager and waitress were not apologetic whatsoever. They didn t ask how to make it right. So my son and I watched my mother and father in Law and husband eat. When we left they didn t apologize for our experience . Worse 85 dollars spent. If they would have apologized or attempted to make things right we may have gone back, but with so many other restaurants in area, Ciccios is one we will never go back to or recommend.

The service was very good, we had a great waiter. The focaccia bread was outstanding, but our entrees were mediocre. I ordered the wagyu beef medium rare, but what I received was tough, overcooked beef, definitely not wagyu, and not one but of pink. I had to chew a lot. It wasnt terrible, but it was cooked nearly well done, despite ordering medium rare. My wife ordered the veal, which was good, but not worth the price tag. Our waiter was great and I am sure they would have tried to make it right had we said something, but we didnt want to be difficult.

Title: Disappointed by Overbooking and Service Review: I rarely write reviews but feel compelled to share my recent experience at Ciccio Trattoria. I held a dinner reservation for 7:30 PM on January 19, 2024, but was left unseated even after 8 PM. Despite its good reputation, the management here seems to struggle with honoring reservations in a timely manner. Clearly, there is an issue with overbooking, resulting in undue waiting times for guests. This was not only disappointing but also a significant inconvenience. The lack of prompt seating raises questions about the establishments organizational skills and respect for customers time. In short, the managers ability to seat people needs urgent attention. Visitors looking forward to a lovely Italian dining experience might have to temper expectations with regards to service efficiency.

Wondered why it took us so long to try Ciccio. Its an elegant Italian restaurant just walking distance from our home. Husband ordered Grilled Mediterranean Sea Bass, its a delicious dish on the small side. My Cioppino was scrumptious, definitely a must try. Knowing it could be packed, we went at 4pm and had the place all to ourselves but tables started to filling up soon after. Attentive staff, great service, remarkable food, highly recommend. Update: Visited again on a Wednesday at 4:30pm. Restaurant was empty so we got a table without problem. Food was wonderful, especially my Duck Confit. Would like to point out one thing though. Since husband and I were the only customers at that point, we were surprised when a Ciccios staff decided to present a event proposal to two customers sitting right next to our table two feet away. As a result, We could hear every details of their plans. We believe they could hear our conversations as well. Such arrangement understandably created an unpleasant experience for us. Wished it couldve been handled a bit better with thoughtfulness. We still loved Ciccios food.

We were lucky enough to find seating at the bar where they have full service. Josh was great! He made us off the menu drinks that we enjoyed! Highly recommend the ravioli and the tagliatelle, of course with some foccacia to start. Crème brûlée was perfect for dessert. We ll be back and ask for Josh! P.S. Valet parking on the weekends.

We explored further north in search of a Cioppino restaurant, and our adventure led us to discover far beyond my expectations. The gnocchi was absolutely exquisite, flawlessly complemented by the succulent braised rib that simply begged to be savored with a mere touch of a fork. Not only was the atmosphere enchanting, but I am compelled to return solely for the vibe. The waiter, Alexis, proved to be well-informed, offering great suggestions, and the polenta appetizer was truly outstanding, leaving us impressed. The wife is not a dessert person, so the tiramisu was all me. Parking: I drove around the back and parked because it is on a corner.

I wanna mention that the food is special, delicious BUT the best are the servers. I ve been there for more than 10 times and Carolina, the hostess, always find a solution for our late arrivals. Also, Tania and Pedro are very kind and attentive to help me with my orders. The desert is brought by Luis. He is very knowledgeable and suggests the best the kitchen can make. Caitlyn, our waitress, was exceptional! She knew the menu and ingredients very well, was personable and attentive. She made the experience that much better. We were at the table closest to the door on a Wednesday night, which means we had the amplified singer in our ears, which made conversation quite difficult. Parking is difficult due to the Jiu Jitsu studio a couple doors down in this suburban strip shopping center. The parking lot is full of idled, double-parked vehicles with parents and kids in their Jiu Jitsu uniforms. There is free valet parking, but all the parking spots near the restaurant are blocked off and empty. The hostess greeted us with an unsmiling Do you have a reservation and when we stated that we did not, offered us a table directly between two doors, where we d get blasted with cold air during our entire meal. The restaurant was maybe 1/3 full at this time, so no shortage of available seating. When we requested a different table, the second hostess loudly remarked Not without a reservation, but they were somehow able to locate a different seat for us among the sea of empty tables. The food seemed overpriced and tasted totally unremarkable. A smallish serving of run-of-the-mill chicken Parmesan with lukewarm tomato sauce was $22. The atmosphere would have been nice- the place is beautifully decorated - but was incredibly loud despite the small crowd inside. Tables are quite close together. Our server was very friendly and attentive - we would give him five stars alone, aside from the somewhat rude treatment by the hostesses. All in all, we see no need to return here. Better food can be had, with better pricing and no reservation-shaming, at any of the numerous local or chain Italian restaurants in the area. It could have been a lovely evening, but this restaurant seems a little too big for its britches. Parking: All close parking is valet only. Valet is free (tips), but this is a bit ridiculous for a small restaurant in a strip shopping center.

We took my elderly neighbor and my Dad here for their birthday in March and it was wonderful, food was delicious all around. Today my wife and I couldnt wait to celebrate our 20th Anniversary made reservations for 4:45 so we could have a peaceful dinner and it wasnt busy, was seated immediately by the emergency exit door my wife asked if we could get a booth, as the hostes came moving to us very quickly what you want done? My wife asked politely to be moved to a booth, hostest said firmly no, had other party reservations. We checked the reservations and was open clear to 7 as we left only one part had came in sat a single lady in a booth. The food was good not as great as first time the noodle was stuck together and being so hard. Noticed servers at the serving counter eating not just one but 3 different servers eating where our food sits to be taken to tbe table literally eating over the top of someone dish. Our server was great, friendly and polite she was the highlight. Last thing when I go to high end Italian restaurant The only bottle I want at the table is the wine, not my coke bottle I want my glass filled not me filling it by a coke bottle, this isnt high end, you have valet you have a great wine selection great environment but serve drinks in a bottle? Atheist wasnt a can. Wont be going back if not busy and made a reservation should be able to pick where want to sit, and not once was asked about our anniversary reservation.

Will not return and will continue to discourage others from going. Wedding anniversary and remembered this great spot so made reservations...early reservations 4:45 early. Arrived to find the place empty, only 1 other guest. 3 ladys were the hostess, why 3? We were sat right away at a table that was uncomfortable, chairs are horrible. Asked to be moved to a bench table. The girl sitting us said sure and grabbed the menus while another one comes aggressively over to say no, they are busy and have parties coming, rudely. The tone in this girls voice was just plan nasty, has no business working in this field. She made it clear she was not playing and to not push her. It was shocking how rude she was, so I said ok, last time we will come here. She rolled her eyes, huffed and walked away. She made our visit horrible. I looked on line and reservations were a plenty and only 2 other parties arrived when we were there. And guess were they were sitted?! A bench table! Servers were eatting on the line...on top of customers plates! Our waitress was as nice as ever and she was tipped nicely for her work with us. Food was not as good as it was and diffinatly not worth the money.

I have to say we almost left. We were seated at a table near the kitchen and no one came to our table. There was a waitress who was servicing the table next to us, who looked at us several times but never said anything to us. Im talking she had to walk 2inch from our table to refill the other tables waters and drinks. Now I know some people will say it probably wasnt that long. When we sat down, the table next to us was waiting for their food. After a few minutes the food runner tried to deliver their food to us by mistake before we even met our server. That table had finished eating when my husband finally flagged someone down. We had to ask for a server. The woman he called over did take our orders and was very nice. She got us our food and after the initial issues everything was great. Its a cute spot. Drinks were great. It was just really weird that were in a spot that literally every waiter had to walk by to get to the kitchen and no one said anything to us. We were disappointed with our visit to this restaurant and dont plan on ever returning. We had reservations and when we arrived on time there was not a table available. No big deal. We waited about 5 minutes to be seated. As we waited at our table for water we began to think it was taking a while. After over ten minutes (we watched the clock), no water, no acknowledgement, nothing. I went to the hostess who was rude and seemed quite put out that we had a problem to ask if we could get some water (it was over 100 degrees outside). I tried to show her where we were sitting but she continued to act irritated so i just walked back to our table to get my husband so we could leave. Before we could leave a manager came who then waited on us. The food was just ok. I got a chicken and pasta meal that sparingly contained chicken. It looked like it had been thrown on the plate, but tasted ok. Although some our food was comped, it was still an unenjoyable visit and we wont be returning. My three star review is generous, in my opinion, and is for the lovely decorated dining room and good wine.
