Visiting Angels McKinney is the best! From the beginning they were professional and compassionate. They found the perfect caregiver to meet our mom s needs and personalty. They check in periodically and if there needs to be a change in our schedule, they contact us right away and give us time to plan. This is the second time that I have used Visiting Angels to care for my mom who suffers from short term memory loss. And during my absence Sheila and Kristie communicated enough to allow no worries or concern during our family vacation. Sheila and Kristie were kind and attentive to mom; mom was content and all smiles with the care that she received from Visiting Angels Sheila and Kristie and talked about them more than a few times! All my 24/7 Visiting Angels Caregivers have provided highly appreciated quality care as I go thru the challenges of Bone Marrow Cancer chemo treatments. All have arrived and left on time and conducted themselves professionally without attitude or other conflicts. The 24/7 caregivers provided by a previous Service delivered several poor attitudes from Caregivers. That service was used while my wife was in Hospice for 11 mo. I have encouraged Visiting Angels to give all my Caregivers a Gold Star for Excellent Service. You have 2 Bigs to choose from on Nov 5, 2024 ... My husband was under the care of Visiting Angels for 2-1/2 years. We had 2 very qualified, kind , enthusiastic caregivers during that time. When the first lady quit to go back to nursing school we were devastated knowing we would not find another angel that was as caring. I expressed this to the Director and she went to work to find another Angel. The next lady we were sent is truly an Angel and went way beyond the required duties to make sure my Husband was not only getting the necessary care but she kept his spirits up with her outgoing, cheerful personality. She truly cared. The staff is very helpful at Visiting Angels and I have nothing but good things to say about the care for my loved one.

Definitely recommend Visiting Angels of McKinney. Great sense of urgency and communication. From getting started by speaking with Director Lisa (who listened and provided some flexibility in minimum hours that some agencies I spoke with didn t want to consider), intake with Shannon and scheduling with Tina, they made the administration side of getting short term, in home care for my Mom an easier process. She also had some very good angels- Sandi, Darlene and Susan. Everyone was open to feedback and responsive to us.

Highly recommend visiting Angels! My mom is 90 years old and battles dementia, heart problems & stage 4 arthritis in her knees. I contacted VA on a friends recommendation and after 3 different care givers found the Angel for my elderly Mom !! She plays cards or board games, will take her for a walk or just make her a meal & sit & talk over coffee When Mom naps - she will wash her laundry, or load the dish washer or tidy up her room. Such a huge help to have someone to trust so I can go to my own medical appointments or grocery shopping etc.

If needing support for your loved one, I would highly recommend Visiting Angels. When talking with employees in the office I felt heard and understood with compassion. During the in person meeting Lisa was very knowledgeable and compassionate. The angels sent to care for my dad had compassion for him and for me, as his caregiver and daughter. I slept well knowing he was being cared for properly. I had no problem leaving during the day with his caregivers by his side.

The office staff sincerely listens and pay attention to all our concerns, and always let us, the caregivers , know that they are here for us and appreciate us for the work we do out in the field. I just wanted to provide a shoutout to Visiting Angels of McKinney TX for having provided, over a 14-month period, outstanding care and services to my sister, an advanced MS patient. The help and care their aides provided during this time was truly compassionate and allowed her to stay in her house, with my 94-year-old mom, for a long transition period before moving into assisted living. The in-home care option is truly exceptional with them, and we are forever grateful for the work. Regrettably, my sisters needs ended up progressing to the point of needing an assisted living facility. It was great to have had them at home for as long as they could. Thanks! I contacted them to have somebody come over for respite care for me and my father who has Alzheimers and parkinsons. they said sure, got everything set up, but from that moment on nothing went right. the visiting angel was always late, would leave early. Once they didnt call or show up. I would get calls from the agency 15 to 20 minutes after the person was supposed to be here saying they had car problems and that wouldnt be here on time (the angel got an uber to our house but then said i had to drive them home) The last time the nurse showed up and and panicked because we have 2 small dogs (neither one of them over 20 pounds) and refused to come into the house and just left. I probably could have done better just hiring off a craigslist. 4/20/2022 edit. Received a call from Shannon at Visiting Angels. We discussed my concerns and i was assured that they will address my concerns and do their best to make sure that these issues will be taken care of. 5/6/2022 edit. Talked to Lisa and was very happy about how they handled the situ3. I understand how things can go wro g but they went out of yheir way to make it right.

The administration staff was always kind, proactive, and prompt with responses. The only reason I didn t rate 5 was staffing sometimes did not have availability for an occasional as needed 2 hour Angel Visit which was a primary selling point to us when we signed on with them to not have to pay for a 4 hour visit minimum like most agencies require when we only needed assistance for my mother for a short period.

We have been extremely happy in our relationship with Visiting Angels in McKinney over the past 5 or so years. My elderly inlaws had various instances in which they required additional help during the day while my husband and I worked. For the past 3-1/2 years, we have had one particular caregiver who was perfect for us. She has been so caring and friendly to them, while being completely responsible and overall a hard worker. Both my inlaws developed a very close relationship with her and trusted her to do everything they needed her to do. I have recommended Visiting Angels to several friends for their elderly loved ones. We were referred to Visiting Angels by an aging seniors resource center and the referral was an answer to our prayers. We chose to keep our loved one home and provide 24/7 care using a combination of a Visiting Angels caregiver and family members. The staff at Visiting Angels gathered information about our loved one and then selected a caregiver they thought would be a good match for her. The caregiver was a great fit for our family member. The caregiver was compassionate, conscientious, professional and offered suggestions for documenting her daily activities so all persons involved in her care were aware of what was going on. Visiting Angels was truly a saving GRACE! One phone call and someone was there the next day! A hand picked person specifically for our needs and my parents and we loved the individual! Hello and New Year Greetings! I have never written a review such as this in all of my 58 years but, I truly believe this an important subject. Many of an employer have I had since starting in the work force in 1977. From fast food restaurants to hospitals and everything in between I have experienced a Very WIDE variety of employers in several different states. I have worked for the Kolp s for over 10 years and never regretted a second. They are good and kind people that will bend over backwards for their employees and the people whom they are serving alike. I have seen their reactions to every situation imaginable and each decision was as if working with their own immediate family.....like you are cared for and important. I love them and am absolutely sure that you will too.

Although we did not end up needing to utilize their services, these people went on and beyond to help us in a great time of need! We were in a situation where we needed immediate help for a family member with Alzeheimers and we were unsure if wed be able to secure them with a room in a memory care facility that quickly, so we reached out to Visiting Angels to make accommodations if necessary. They carefully and thoughtfully laid out a plan for our family member and had everything set up for us, just incase. I highly recommend Visiting Angels and if necessary in the future - I will be hiring them for sure!!

We had the assistance of Visiting Angels for the last 3 years of Moms life and it made all the difference. She was able to spend her final years and months and days at home surrounded by everything familiar, her family, and her dogs, all because of the competent and caring caregivers that were there every time we needed them. I cannot thank them enough for that gift.

We appreciate your staff working to see Mom has consistent caregivers as she fears change. Each of the caregivers brings unique qualities which makes working with them a joy for Mom. I highly recommend this service. We found them after my 91 year old mother s surgery and she needed a bit of extra help during the recovery. Angels sent a variety of ladies to come help her until she met the her Debbie who turned out to be a perfect fit! Debbie has been coming the last five years, adapting to my moms ever changing needs and providing us with extra caring, capable and dependable hands. They have helped us keep mom home, with us in her golden years. We thank you Angels for the services you provide, truly a blessing.

After trying (and failing with) several other service providers, I was so grateful that we found Visiting Angels. We received very personal attention to our specific challenges and were finally able to find the right fit of services for our situation, with the peace of mind of knowing that we were in the hands of practiced and caring professionals. I also took comfort in the local ownership and vetted and insured staff. I can only speak for the caregiver assigned to us (Barb), but cant say enough about what a help she was in helping our family transition to the needed care. More than a care provider, it felt like we gained a friend in a very difficult time. Highly recommend!

When Visiting Angels came out to do the assessment, I told them the kind of caregiver I hoped that the agency could find us and they listened! We got exactly what we wanted and then some! I was surprised by the personal touch provided by Visiting Angels. Our caregiver was just wonderful and I cant begin to put in words how she helped our family. Visiting Angels have been a Godsend. They have met every wish and need my aging parents have asked, and as my Mom has now entered Home Hospice, their 24 hour care could not be more caring. I would highly recommend the service to anyone that truly cares about their loved ones, and wants to know they will be in the best hands.

We reached out to Visiting Angels when my father came to live with us two years ago. Even though most of the care takers were very good, we found two that were a perfect match. Dad looked forward to the visits and trusted them with everything from showering to going to the movies. They would take him to the lake for a picnic, the Dallas Symphony or just stay home on rainy days and cook dinner in front of the fire! With Dad having dementia and osteoporosis It was extra important for him to be able to trust his care takers. They showed him respect and adjusted to our needs as he moved into the hospital, memory care and finally his last week where extra care was needed. They were such a blessing to him and to me and gave me peace of mind as we needed more care. I can not think his care takers and Visiting Angels enough!

I needed caregiver support for my aging mother and Visiting Angels filled all of our needs down to the last detail. Lisa, who interviewed me for to evaluate needs, listened to everything I said and sent the perfect professional to help. I won t hesitate to contact Visiting Angels again when the need arises. It s the perfect way to help mom age in place without the trauma of a move to assisted living.

If youre reading this, you are already aware that selecting a caregiver is a difficult process on many levels. I have used a couple other home care companies in the past when I needed short term care for my parents and I cringed at the prospect of having to start this process again. Previous experiences had be dealing with caregivers who didnt show up, cancelled at the last minute (wheres my cancellation fee??), difficulty for my parents in getting past deep accents, billing issues, etc. Visiting Angels is the absolute opposite of my previous experiences. They truly live up to everything they promise on their site. Lynn was very understanding and patient during our initial visit and helped me and my parents understand their processes so we had no surprises. She was very upfront and explained all details so we had no gotchas later. Darlene has been an absolute lifesaver with the last minute scheduling changes and numerous requests I had. She lined up caregivers that were a great fit for my parents and made sure to keep a fantastic communication line open. I really cannot say enough about Visiting Angels. They are honest, reliable, and empathetic to what it is like trying to take care of aging parents while also juggling your own family, job, and life in general. If you are looking for a caregiver, stop here. After two previous less than stellar experiences, I will not go anywhere else for any future needs I may have for my parents. This company is a lifesaver and you will not find a better one (Ive looked)!

I seldom give a 5 star review as there is normally room for improvement in most cases. However, my experience with Visiting Angels while I recovered from surgery was exceptional. My primary need was for someone to walk with me and to help with meals in the 4 hours that they spent with me daily. But my Angels made sure my laundry was taken care of as well as basic housekeeping. They were also great company and I loved getting to talk with them. I highly recommend this agency for any home care needs. Very responsive to any concerns and schedule needs.

VA provided in-home care for my mother. Mom is very fond of Eileen. She was a caring patient care giver. My siblings and I were thankful to have her in moms home. Should mom find herself back in her house we will certainly seek out VA and Eileen again.

I highly recommend Visiting Angels of McKinney because they took such wonderful care of my dear Mother who lived with me. My Mom always was greeted with a smile and friendly hello as soon as the aide walked in the door. They kept my mother very comfortable and nothing was ever overlooked. When I needed to call in Hospice for her while she remained at home with me her final days, they were truly a godsend. I always prayed she would remain with me until the end, and because of the expertise, compassion, and hard work demonstrated by Visiting Angels staff, I was able to accomplish this. I always recommend this premier organization to my friends for their families. Their team is truly the best! Eileen

Fantastic service! I cant recommend Visiting Angels of McKinney enough! For a little over 2 years now, weve gone through several different agencies looking for help with my Dad. All of them, for one reason or another, did not work out for us. To make matters more stressful, I live in Austin and switching agencies so often was beginning to take a toll on my wife and kids. We were contemplating moving back to Dallas when I was recommended Visiting Angels. I was skeptical with all that we have gone through and a little jaded with the recommendation, but I was told that they were fantastic and really did everything that they promise. I reluctantly scheduled a meeting and met with Theresa (owner) a few days later. I was expecting the same old empty promises that every other agency had previously promised. But, after a few minutes I was feeling much better about this particular meeting. Theresa is about my age and she explained that she had gone through the same thing with her own father (who also lived out of town) and completely understood all of my issues and concerns. She said that she realized that there was a real need for honest and quality home care and decided to quit her job and start a company that addressed all of the problems and concerns she had, while experiencing her own need for home care of a loved one. Long story short, Visiting Angels has been a godsend. From day 1 they have been fantastic! All of our concerns and worries have been addressed and alleviated. Dad has been happier and in a better mood than he has been in 2 years. Dont get me wrong, he can be grumpy at times, but his care giver James handles him like a pro. I cant begin to say how grateful we are for the professionalism and truly kind care Visiting Angels has provided not only my Dad, but my entire family.

A year ago I hired Visiting Angels of McKinney to help out with my 92 year old grandmother, I was apprehensive at first but apprehension quickly turned to joy and relief. Our caregiver has become part of the family and truly loves my grandmother. The benefit of having someone there to help her out has been invaluable and the happiness our caregiver brings to my grandmother is immeasurable. I highly recommend visiting angels, the whole company cares about the families they help.

I called Visiting Angels based solely off of a TV ad. My mother was having health problems and her husband had just died. She wasnt safe to be alone all the time. Things got worse and she had a stroke, so after rehab, I called them again and spoke to Theresa. She was compassionate, sensitive to my concerns about cost and sent out two of the best, nicest and competent caregivers to rotate through my house. Mom fell in love with them as part of her family. When things got worse yet, and we decided she could no longer live at home, we flew her out to an assisted living arrangements in California, and one of the women that had cared for her so well here flew out with her and my sister, which made the trip easier for the sister and less stressful for my mother. I highly recommend Theresa and her team to anyone in a situation similar to mine.
