Ive been driving by Bakers for years wanting to try it. I did today. Got a single bacon cheeseburger, regular fries and a medium drink. EIGHTEEN DOLLARS! What the heck? The fries were ok to good, the drink, well, it was a Pepsi. The burger Im afraid was below expectation. The bacon was so chewy I had to remove it. The burger had little flavor. I was sadly disappointed. Sorry, there is more competition out there that puts more thought into their burgers.

Bakers is the best !!! Its seriously one of the best burgers Ive ever had. They have excellent service. Its someplace you should try if ever in Mckinney. Most people might not know about Bakers, but they should. Everything weve tried has been very good. We highly recommend it.

Solid classic burger drive in style. The onion rings are I think the best I ve ever had. Burgers are decent size and yummy. The patty has a really nice crisp to it with great flavor. We ll drive over from Frisco occasionally just to grab a burger

If what you are looking for is a hamburger place with a more homemade, authentic flavor and without a franchise flavor, you have to come and see this place. The prices are affordable and although the menu is not that big, I assure you that you will be satisfied. I highly recommend it.

I was expecting something more than I encountered and experienced. I went there because my daughter was raving about the food and place but they didnt have 2 out of 3 items I wanted to order e.g. no burritos and no gravy for chicken strips. The service was really slow like it took 23 minutes to pick up two burgers and two cold and undercooked fries.

$11.99 Philly cheesteak. Horrid. Dry. No seasoning. I mean not even salt and pepper. The cheese may have been a processed whiz, but I tasted it carefully and it had no flavor. Great drive-in burger joint that dates back to the 1950s. Been a staple in historic downtown McKinney for decades. Happy to see an independent, small-town restaurant survive despite COVID and our CURRENT presidents sabotage of our economy. Been coming here since I was a kid in the late 80s and I will keep coming back. Great staff and ownership. Get the double burger for the best meat to cheese to bun ratio. Mine was prepared perfectly and I really enjoyed the crispy buttery bun! Fries were great with ketchup and Im looking forward to my next amazing, hometown cooked Bakers Drive-In burger! Thanks for being here yall! Parking: No tables so be prepared to eat in your vehicle or the truck bed! Didnt bother us we love the environment! Kid-friendliness: Plenty of options for the kiddos!

Everything you could ask for from old-timey drive in. Menu is deep with seemingly endless combinations of burgers, dogs, fries, rings and chili. Solid shakes. If you need to be alert and productive at your job in the afternoon, Id suggest not having lunch here - Bakers is nap food. The Philly Cheesesteak is especially devastating - it dresses out at about 2.5 lbs and will put you down, hard.

Aug 2, 2022 @ 1:30pm. Ordered a Baker s burger with everything and added Mayonnaise. My order was called and I took it to go. Arrived and my destination ready to eat. My burger was over cooked, dry and the bun was burnt. They forgot to add the mayonnaise and the burger was just thrown together. I was a repeat customer and have had several great burgers there. This was an epic fail today. I can t say I will be back again. The lady taking my order was more interesting in texting then listening to what I was ordering. I m guessing that s why the mayo wasn t added!

Holy moly! Classic drive-in food joint. What a burger I just ate from here. The Texas chili cheeseburger is a winner. Top shelf chili sauce. Big, thick Angus patty, moist and juicy. Big burgers! Whataburger cant stand in the same room with these ladies! But its not just burgers. Their menu is really big! I recommend this place!

Fairly inexpensive. Everything is a la cart, no combos. It can add up pretty quick. The food is just... amazing, Especially when compared to the price. No seating. You walk up to the window to order; wait for your number to be called; then pick up your food at the window. Afterwards, you can take the food home or eat at/in your car. Simply amazing.
