We had the most amazing wedding at La Cour! From the very start, it was clear this place was meant for us. The venue was exactly what we d dreamed of. It was charming and intimate, with an atmosphere that just fit our vision perfectly. Andrea was fantastic to work with!!! She made everything so much easier and was always there with a smile and helpful advice. It felt like she genuinely cared about making our day special, and it really showed. We had a last-minute change day of due to the Texas heat, and Andrea helped make the transition seamless. We loved all the different spaces at La Cour. There were so many great spots for our guests to hang out, which made the whole event feel warm and welcoming. If you re looking for a venue that s not just stunning but also has that personal touch, La Cour is it. Our wedding was everything we d hoped for and more, and we couldn t be happier with our choice.

I had my wedding reception at La Cour in 2021, and it was absolutely perfect. The venue is stunning, with elegant decor and a warm, inviting atmosphere that made our celebration truly special. The layout was ideal for our needs, providing ample space for dining, dancing, and mingling. Our guests are still raving about it. The location is convenient with plenty of parking, making it easy for everyone to attend. Overall, La Cour exceeded our expectations in every way. We have used La Cour Venue for the past 5 years for our high school girls soccer team annual banquet. Working with La Cour has been so easy and they coordinate with us and our vendors to accommodate the event seamlessly! The team loves all of the photo locations and it has become a favorite memory over the years. I highly recommend La Cour to everyone!

I can t say enough good things about this venue and their staff. The venue itself is stunning, and so many items were included so I felt we really got a lot for our money. We received comments for months from guests about how much they loved the space and how beautiful it was. I loved that I could have a separate space for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing, without having to flip the main interior space. Our photographer made the comment that no matter where she placed us around the venue, the backdrop was gorgeous, and that really comes through in all of our photos. The staff was a pleasure to work with, I hope I can attend a wedding here in the future as a guest to see it again!

We had the rehearsal dinner for our sons wedding at La Cour last April. The space was perfect. It is a beautiful venue. The staff (Andrea) was so helpful. She helped make sure the event ran smoothly. During our planning Andrea offered suggestions on how to make it less work for us which was appreciated. Highly recommend La Cour Venue.

When finding a venue for our special day, I had something very specific in mind. When discovering La Cour Venue via an online search it seemed to check all the boxes but it wasn t until I did my actual tour, I knew I find just what we were looking for. Romantic, Rustic, Secluded, Warm, and Organic, is part of the charm of this venue. Not only was the aesthetics what we looking for but the team at La Cour Venue were thoughtful, kind, and very attentive. We look back at our wedding (3.17.23) with so much happiness because we found the perfect place for the perfect moment. I cannot say enough good things about La Cour Venue.

Ive enjoyed hosting three parties at La Cour. My daughters Sweet Sixteen party was such a hit, her friends wanted to do a joint graduation party at La Cour their senior year. Then daughter number two wanted to have her graduation party there two years later. The venue is perfect for having space for games, eating, and dancing. The staff is wonderful to work with. I hope we get to have more events at La Cour in the future.

Any host when they plan an event want the guests to be treated with respect, care and empathy. In the last two events which I attended (and especially the last one) - I found deeply hurtful and disrespectful staff at this venue. The bartender (Kendra Cotton) spoke down to multiple people in front of me and outright solicited tips from guests. The sad part is even after I paid her the tip, her attitude to serve alcohol was deeply offensive. The venue also is extremely onerous in overhead passed on to the host. The host is expected to ensure insurance for even a handy man that enters the location. beyond one s imagination is that even a family member that wants to play musical instrument - is treated like a street side vendor. I hope the owners of this place will coach the staff to operate with courtesy, respect and dignity. I see no point whatsoever to use this venue until such foundational aspect is addressed.

Attended the party as a guest. The owners and their bartenders were rude to all guests. Talked to most of the guests and all had bad experiences with the bartender. We go to parties every week and this was one of the worst experience. I would even give negative rating if it was allowed.

I have been at this location more than once and every time I have encountered rude staff and bartenders. I understand that there are rules but you don t have to rub it in the face of the customer every time . They served the drinks as if they own us. Very rude and disrespectful. A friend of mine was just tapping on the table while waiting on his drink and that ticked the bartender and she said that we treat people with respect around here . Now I don t know what kind of disrespect what that.

I could not recommend La Cour Venue enough. Last minute, we decided to book a venue for our small Covid wedding. As more people were vaccinated, our guest count grew, and La Cour was always there to accommodate our many last minute changes. The venue itself is such a beautiful, charming, and picturesque area to have a wedding. All of the areas provided unique photo ops for our many events! Amy and the rest of her team are so incredibly professional, caring, and responsive! It was exciting for us to host our wedding with La Cour Venue and see the staff reciprocate the excitement. We cannot thank them enough for all the accommodations and good wishes!

La Cour is absolutely beautiful but that is not what sold us on the venue. The owner Amy is amazing, she cares about her customers and goes above and beyond to make sure they are happy throughout the entire process. She cares about the little details and has a reliable vendor recommendation list. Amy made planning a wedding a seamless process. By my wedding day Amy was our friend not a venue owner. She invites us back yearly for events and checks in on us regularly. This is not the type of service you find at any venue. La Cour is special.

We celebrated my sons graduation party with our closest friends and extended family at La Cour, and simply couldnt have had a better time. Amy was just so wonderful to work with! During our planning meeting, Amy offered several setup suggestions for seating for our special kind of event, so of course they worked out great. When we arrived, the tables, lights and atmosphere exceeded our expectations! Amy took it upon herself to add several ourdoor games for the younger kids to play together, free of charge. It was an unexpected touch that really blew us away. We also chose to utilize one of her suggested vendors for an easy fajita meal, and the quality, service and taste were exceptional. Amy and her staff were on site throughout the party, her attention to detail were second to none. She made every possible effort to be sure that nothing would impact my sons celebration in any way. I just cannot say enough good things about Amy and La Cour. Every part of the layout of the building and grounds have been thought through so carefully to ensure that guests and events of all kinds are comfortable and accomodated flawlessly. One thing I really appreciated is that she asked us what kinds of tables and chairs wed like to use, for no additional charge. I have already booked my second sons graduation party for 2022, and cannot wait to refer my friends and family to use her venue! Your event will be amazing if you use La Cour!!

My fiancé and I were at first very excited about this venue. We had scheduled our date for July 3rd but unfortunately covid had other plans for us. We had already paid almost all of what needed to be paid for and so I asked Amy if she would give us a refund. She instantly refused and said she does not have to because of the contract. I had told her that we understood what the contract said however there is a global pandemic going on and we can t have any type of event even if we wanted to. My fiancé and I both are prior military so we have family that is also all military and can t come at this time because of covid. I then asked again if she would please give us a refund so we can figure out a better sate. Amy knew the situation that was at hand and why we were unable to have it anymore. It was not our fault or our choice to have to postpone and not be able to set an official date. With covid and military family everything is up in the air. Amy still refused to give us money back. I have since realized that she does not care about couples she only cares about the money. We are now going to have to take legal action against her because she still refuses to give us any of our money back. We even would have been willing to figure something out but she refused to work with us. Can t forget how rudely she told me out of nowhere that she can t talk to me about the contract because I didn t sign it my fiancé did and that she can only talk to him about it. After I have talked to her about multiple details of the contract on many different occasions. If you guys are even remotely considering using this venue for any type of event I highly recommend looking elsewhere as they are not kind and are only in it for the money.

Edit 27Oct2020: Amy is now attempting to dispute our reviews across platforms to have them removed. I am providing all documentation to the appropriate parties to validate that I was a client. I have contacted the appropriate websites to keep our reviews active. I will now begin date stamping reviews. Original Post: My now wife and I had a wedding scheduled at La Cour in May 2020. The date we chose was special to us. The venue could not host the wedding as we agreed to in May and refused to give us a refund due to their policies. They stated that COVID-19 was not their fault. We were bullied into either giving up all of our money or rescheduling to a date that had no meaning. We rescheduled as we paid the venue thousands of dollars. Unfortunately, COVID-19 impacted the second date, the ability for my family to travel, and we did not want to risk the health of our family and friends that were in the United States as cases continued to climb. I reached out to the venue in an attempt to let them know that we were desperately concerned about our familys health and wellbeing, that weve already experienced a death in the family during COVID, and that my fathers side of the family could not travel from Europe to see us wed. We again requested a refund, even a partial refund, and the owner sharply declined and stated again that COVID-19 was not their fault, that we would have to make concessions to our plans, adjust our expectations, and that they could not give us our money back due to the contract and they could no longer change the date as they had to change personal plans and our lawyers settled on the date (yes we had to get lawyers involved). I have all of this in email writing from the venue. My wife and I were devastated by how impersonal and cold the venue owner Amy and her husband treated us. We were shocked because all of the reviews raved about them. I suppose if you try to mess with their money though, they show their true side. We decided to hold a private wedding at our house. Thankfully, we have a large nice back yard which we decorated ourselves, we had our best friend marry us in our back yard and we streamed the wedding to all of our friends and family. It was beautiful, and we loved it. We are glad that we didnt get married at La Cour, the owners showed their true colors and we couldnt imagine getting married in such a tainted place. We have all of their correspondence documented in writing through saved emails. All of our other vendors gladly gave our money back or made adjustments. Frankly were going to host a large one year anniversary party for the family and friends who couldnt be attend our home ceremony in person sometime in 2021 and were going to rehire the vendors. We wont have it anywhere near La Cour. Well have it at a much better and caring place. In the end La Cour took all of our money, and failed to give us anything aside from the safety deposit back. Their formal stance was that they could host a wedding but we would have to adjust our expectations such as total amount of people, vendors on-site, etc. When we did the math, checked the local and federal health guidelines, and spoke with our other vendors La Cour would not have been able to provide a COVID-19 safe wedding despite them saying they could. They couldnt even get event approval from the Mayor (which was required at the time) They didnt even offer a refund or concession for us adjusting our expectations. In truth, we would have never been able to hold the wedding we agreed to at the venue, the venue knew that. My advice is to closely read your contract and let it be known that if anything unpredictable and frankly unimaginable as COVID-19 happens it will be strongly enforced with no sympathy. Ill never forget how the venue owner spoke to my wife after we expressed that we were afraid for our families health and wellbeing and that a majority of our family couldnt travel from out of state and overseas when we were forced to reschedule. She suggested we just have a holiday party. She didnt care about our wedding.

Beautiful Wedding Venue outside McKinney This is the first time Lonestar.limo is picking up the lucky bride & groom in our towncar Limo. We included a complimentary setup & bottle of champagne chilled. Staff is awesome to work with and security is polite. Great place and beautiful view of night sky. Brides, please do not pass this up as another COVID-19 review. If youre reading this, I know that you are painstakingly looking for a venue to have your dream day. I strongly urge you to look elsewhere, so you dont have anywhere near the same horrible experience, as I did. I also want to point out, you should sort La Cours reviews by date, and keep an eye on which reviews are from actual couples. I will try to keep this brief, but I wont be able fully describe the worst personal and professional experience Ive ever had. My husband and I were to have our wedding in May2020. We had paid La Cour in full and early in Mar2020, 3wk prior to the lockdown in Texas. Amy at La Cour had assured us all would be well. Fast forward one month: Texas is in confirmed lockdown until 2 days prior to our wedding. We requested a partial refund (half the deposit which is the price of booking). Amy refused and said La Cour venue was not offering refunds of any kind for whatever reason. Amy begged, that if I could not have my wedding, to just have another party - Christmas, New Years, anything. It became very apparent she did not care about our wedding at all. Lawyers finally get involved. Multiple family members are calling us in tears. My husband and I decided the best was to reschedule, so another couple could take our date (we chose a very popular wedding date for this purpose). We let Amy know this - everyone wins, La Cour keeps their money, some happy couple gets a great date, and we dont have the stress of replanning a wedding. Amy flat out refuses, saying she had to cancel personal plans for our date which was still 4mo out. Our wedding date approaches, COVID-19 is soaring. La Cour instills rules without amending their contract. My husbands entire family cannot attend (all out of state/country) what La Cour kept referring to as the celebration of our marriage. Family again calling in tears. My husband and I kept requesting safety and social distancing measures for La Cours indoor venue specifically (its very small), as the weather had been terrible with all of the hurricanes. We had a family friend pass due to COVID-19, so we were not messing around. They would not answer. Finally, a week before our event, they stopped responding to our emails completely. They ignored us a week prior and leading up to our event. The first time I met Amy she told me she babys her brides. Amidst all of this, I called her personally, in tears, telling her how miserable I was, my husband was, and family/friends were, and how I had wanted to avoid this by not rescheduling. She told me Sometimes you have to make decisions for your business. I would like to also make known La Cour was our only vendor who did not provide any sort of refund. Our other vendors offered half to full refunds. We will continue to use and recommend them.

I can t say enough good things about this venue and the owners. This venue is independently owned by the sweetest lady, Amy and her husband. Amy was so fun and easy to work with and truly made the experience better than I could ve asked for! The venue is beautiful, the ceremony location is surrounded by lush trees and you truly feel like your in the middle of nowhere though your only about 5 min from downtown McKinney. I loved every space that this venue had to offer and wanted to utilize all of them. We had our ceremony outside, dinner indoors and dance floor in the courtyard under the cafe lights. It was perfect! If your looking for an intimate venue with beautiful views every where you turn, look at La Cour! Seriously can t recommend enough.

La Cour is beautiful venue! It is so unique to the area with its New Orleans type vibe! It has such a variety of locations around the property that are perfect for wedding and bridal party portraits. I have photographed quite a few weddings there so far and the level of service that Amy and her husband provide is unmatched. If I had the time, I truly could write an entire book about how magical my experience with La Cour has been. But I dont, so instead you just get a little review here. The first time I walked into the courtyard to see the venue, I cried - and I stopped looking for venues. There was no point; this was the place I needed to marry my best friend. It is wildly unique, and is evident that so much thought and love went into building it. Each little nook of La Cour is beautiful - two outdoor ceremony sites (both excellent, though we chose the courtyard), a gorgeous indoor reception hall (with immaculate furniture, most of which was made by Amy herself), and lots of little spots for guests to take a deep breath if needed. Planning meetings were actually FUN with Amy because she gave practical advice and answered all my (stupid) questions with a smile. She is someone who deeply cares about the success of her clients events and will go above and beyond to ensure the day is nothing short of perfect. The rental costs are fair, and if youre looking for something she does not have, she has a lot of great and reputable referrals. Seriously, our wedding day was flawless, and could not have been possible without Amy and her magic venue. From beginning to end, it was the best experience and I HIGHLY highly recommend booking with La Cour!

PERFECT Wedding venue for my Husband and I. The Owner, Amy, was very accomodating and professional during the enitre planning process and all the way to the day of the wedding! Such a relaxed and inviting environment. The red brick venue is so beautiful that you wont need very many decorations! Thank you La Cour for helping us make our wedding day so perfect!

LaCour Venue was an excellent choice for my daughters wedding with 150 guests. The venue provides both indoor and outdoor seating and a romantic courtyard perfect for dancing! LaCour gives your guests privacy as it is located among rolling hills and farm land just 5 minutes from the city limits of McKinney, TX. Although LaCour is a beautiful, romantic setting for a wedding, its best asset is the owner, Any Teague! Amy was always helpful,, professional, and willing to work with us giving us excellent suggestions on how to maximize the venue s space to allow our guests to move from the ceremony outdoors to cocktail hour on the covered terrace and then inside for dinner and back outdoors for dancing in the courtyard. You will not find a better person or place to help your wedding dreams come true!

No words can express the amazing wedding we had at La Cour. The facilities are beyond what we ever imagined and it was the most beautiful, elegant, intimate, secluded and classy venue I have ever been to. Our guests felt like they were in a dream world and could not stop talking about the secluded elegance. Everything we imagined and more. Amy and my wedding planner from Five Star in McKinney made this wedding a dream come true!

The La Cour Venue was absolutely AMAZING! They came to our rescue when we had to relocate our wedding after Hurricane Harvey hit Rockport. We were blown away by the beauty of the venue and kindness and generosity of the owners! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to have a wedding in the North Texas area.

I cant say enough about the BEAUTIFUL La Cour Venue, and the owner Amy. As soon as we drove up to the gate of La Cour we knew it was our venue...adding Amy to the mix only solidified that we were 100% right in our choice. Up to the wedding date, Amy was responsive, easy to work with, direct, and let us know exactly what to expect from the venue as well as for the day of our wedding. We had several of our guests compliment the overall atmosphere of La Cour Venue, and I cant say enough about the photos I have seen so far with La Cour adding such a fantastic backdrop to add to our special day. Amy and her husband Chad made sure that everything was taken care of for the venue, and stayed with us to the end to help up finish out the day. I would highly recommend La Cour venue for your ceremony and reception!
