I didnt expect much from a court appointed attorney because Im pretty ignorant of legal/judicial proceedings and stuff and just assumed they would go through the motions like the two Id had prior. But wow(!) was Mr. Maddux a welcome surprise: throughout the process he has been compassionate, thorough, intuitive, with universal relatability (and as a bonus funny and cool ). But what matters most is I got the feeling from the beginning that he was on top of the ball with several defense strategies ready to go, and just as important seemed to genuinely want to help. His office is friendly too and provides timely updates and I never have trouble getting through. I hope to never ever ever go to court again but if I did I would want Matt and his team representing me. Easy five stars.

We as a family are so impressed with the Maddox Law Firm, there are not enough words to express our gratitude. My family was facing a legal crisis and had no idea what to do. The best Lawyer ever. The list is too long for what Matthew and Angie did for me. I can t brag on them enough. Not only are they efficient and on the ball, they treat you like you re the only client they have and keep you informed the whole way. Matthew Maddox was way attentive to me while I was in jail I have had him as my attorney since 2017. Matthew Maddox just doesnt care who he takes a case for. He is now defending a man here in McKinney, Texas today 05/31/2018 who is in the Mexican Mafia. He is defending him in a child custody case. The man he is defending is wearing a GPS police device and is from Rockwall Texas. This man held his wife and three kids hostage and at gunpoint for about twenty days or so.At night he brought them together then put a gun to his wifes head told her if she ever left him again he would blow her brains out. While he was doing this he had the three kids in the room ages two twins seven years old. One three year old girls. He made the girls watch him do this then he told his wife after he blew her brains out that he was taking them to Mexico and selling them. There is so much more to this story. Maddox doesnt care who he defends as long as he gets that cash. This might be one time he doesnt get any cash. This mans last attorney removed himself from defending this Mexican Mafia mans case after he found out about the lifestyle that he lives. I will admit that I have never seen an attorney ask for release in court in front of the judge. I think myself that the attorney was scared for his life. He and Mr Maddox should both possibly think about this. This guy makes Clyde Barrows look like a saint. Fast forward: June 27 2018, the judge gave total custody to the man wearing the police GPS! Something just doesnt smell right.

Matthew Maddox is simply the best. My grandson was hit by a car, and the caring, but excellent Mr. Maddox got a fantastic and proper settlement. I referred a friend whose daughter had a legal issue that another attorney said probably would go against her......the excellent Matthew Maddox got the case dropped. A few years ago I ran into an issue where I was being accused of assault. My attorney was Matthew Maddox. The case went to a bench trial and the judge found me guilty of an assault. I was attempting to retrieve my property from someone. Shortly after I was denied for an apartment and contacted Matthew Madox. He told me that was an unfortunate part of the charge and I can see about getting it sealed or expunged later. After just recently contacting some lawyers about getting it sealed or expunged they told me that we should have appealed the case and unfortunately there was no way to get it seal or expunged now and my prior attorney would have known that. I dont feel like my best interests were part of how Matthew Maddox handled my case. Now for the rest of my life I cannot lease an apartment because of improper council. I most definitely would no recommend this attorney, and please dont let the talking fool you like he did me.
