I used to love coming here but in the last few months, much of their OG staff has left, and the quality of coffee and beverages have definitely gone down. You can absolutely tell the difference in your coffee based on who s making it . Last week, I got a Fidel and I could barely taste the coffee in it - tasted like straight cream and milk and was nearly white in color . The week prior, it was made by Ian, and tasted perfect . Same with my fiancé s coffee - his latte tasted like straight milk and just a hint of coffee , versus the week prior where it was perfectly made. While I love the ambiance here, and this used to be my daily coffee shop, I now only come in once a week . Hope they can find some long term workers who actually know how to make a good brew.

I love this place so much even though Ive only been twice. The expresso here is absolutely insanely amazing (I have an expresso machine at home but I seriously cant make it as good as here). My dad also left his waterbottle on accident and a worker there ran after us to give it back to him. Super awesome place with super awesome people. would 1000% recommend.

Had the day off from work and was looking for a local coffee shop to visit to have a drink and do some reading. I ve passed Filtered many times and decided to give it a try today - so glad I did! Great coffee, delicious pastries, friendly and helpful team, and an overall great environment. Great music playing softly in the background made for such a relaxing visit. Will definitely be returning!

I have been to multiple places around McKinney, none have a grasp of good espresso. Some focus too much on the aesthetics and vibes and forget about the coffee. This place is great, and best of all, its consistent. I recommend 100%. The only place I will go to when I dont have time to make my own :)

This is perhaps the best coffee shop I ve ever been to. I work nearby and I think I go here every day, despite my better judgement All of their pastries are made in-house and their drinks are great. It can get pretty cramped in busy times, but I always get it to-go so this is rarely an issue for me. Highly recommend if you re in downtown McKinney and craving some caffeine.

I loved this coffee so much I m considering diff strategies when it comes to parking so I can come ALL THE TIME . I have a toddler so walking around after finding a parking 5 min away is not super convenient for a quick grab , so I come on the weekends . I m thinking on ideas bc I need this daily in my life the place is gorgeous !!! But I won t sit down and interrupt the chill vibes with my super social daughter lol she immediately wanted to sit and play the guitar but she s very well behaved and didn t BC IM IN MOM MODE and to come here I want to be in off mom mode and that s not happening anytime soon so, back to my parking strategy plan for a quick grab and go ! I m recommending this place to everyone service also was so friendly . Love love love

Everything a downtown coffee shop should be! Baristas with welcome smiles, tons of seats, excellent coffee menu for the third wave crowd OR the neighborhood coffee fan. The specialty menu is extraordinary...sad I wasnt in town longer to try more. The locally sourced single origin bean selection was diverse and they have a lot of home brewing products. Make sure to stop in...or walk up. Theres an outside order counter, as well!

Found this coffee shop recently and I became a regular instantly! It s so cute and cozy inside, the coffee is so good and so are the cinnamon rolls. You automatically feel comfortable when you come. I 1000000% recommend the maple cinnamon chai. It s delicious If you have a sweet tooth & like cinnamon. I love that this coffee shop is interactive and has events also, we attended karaoke night a couple weeks ago and it was so fun! 5/5 stars Parking: Close parking, but Sometimes busy due to location in downtown McKinney

Literally the best cafe on the square, possible in North Dallas. Amazing coffee, amazing people working there, also, super cool customers. I usually always meet pretty interesting people here. Also, they have tasty pastries. Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly. I do not feel uncomfortable taking my kids here.

Filtered is an institution in historic downtown McKinney where locals meet for morning business or friend meeting regularly and it s been consistently good for many years. We use it for our company weekly coffee break often and the owner is very helpful when limited spaces.

Great place to meet up with a friend for caffeine-powered conversation. However, there is limited seating compounded by the fact that a couple of tables are directly over strong AC vents. Not a good idea to work long on your laptop here not only because of etiquette issues of taking up their limited seating but also because the tables are super narrow, which makes coffee placement tricky.

Atmosphere is nice and calming very nice and friendly people and staff. I do not care for their espresso though with the chickadee in it it is a little bitter which can also be a sign that their machines are too high and brewing too harshly. I am a little picky when it comes to espresso being Italian, but I also know my stuff I do enjoy this little coffee shop, but I will not get coffee here again maybe try the smoothie next time

First time visiting today, recently moved to the area. I will gladly visit local coffee shops over big chains, and do very often, but usually i find many local shops are underwhelming. Not the case at all here. I ordered a simple latte and was very impressed with the quality of the coffee, non dairy milk was exceptionally frothy which was wonderful and a pleasant surprise! Service was great and friendly, they did seem understaffed for the amount of customers coming through but service didnt lack regardless. Looking forward to going back!

I was 2 blocks away at the shop Native McKinney when I had a calling for a caffeinated drink. It was later in the day but thankfully this spot was still open. When I walked in, they had a live band or group playing which was awesome. The baristas were kind and helpful. The scones were delish and my beverage was great and gave me a the pick me up I needed for the rest of the day. Seamed like a great spot just to chill as well. They were only open for another hour and the space was still packed with people for the music, the drink and the vibe. I look forward to coming back.

Seasonal drinks are always phenomenal, but you can t go wrong with the drip coffee with a little made-in-house simple syrup. In addition, every baked good from Filtered I ve ever tried has been SO delicious. So don t shy away from the bacon quiche or cinnamon rolls. Kid-friendliness: I ve brought my daughter (6) and son (3) in here. The back area has a space where you can comfortably sit with kiddos. There s art supplies too!

My sister and I came here to work on some stuff today and it was great :) Some musicians were playing music which I loved, my sister had to wear headphones to focus on her homework though. Some people there were also working (great wifi connection) but pretty sure most were there to socialize which makes sense on a Sunday afternoon! One of the parts that stood out to me is the super friendly barista. I just ordered $1 chips, and she said don t worry about tipping - I know that s such a small detail but most baristas would ve expected a tip - I of course tipped her anyways because she deserves tips for her happy energy and I m sure she is hard working. When my sister ordered her drink, she also said something along the lines similar to that to not make her feel pressured to tip. I enjoy tipping always, but other coffee shops often turn the tablet around and somehow pressure you to tip simply with how they wait and watch. One last thing - I LOVE all the art on the walls for sale. It makes the location unique and colorful and elevates your mood. This place is about half hour from my home but we will most likely be back since it s a great coffee shop, and there s also lots to shop in historic downtown!

Popped in yesterday after leaving the hospital. I ordered a dairy and sugar free latte for myself and an iced coffee for my moms PLUS a coffee cake. I inhaled that coffee soooo quickly and enjoyed the coffee cake alongside. While I waited for my order I adventured around the store to see local arts, pots and stickers added towards the back of the store. It was quaint and welcoming. The Greatest Coffee shop in the Galaxy nominee!!! Okay, I dont really leave reviews. But I have to tell someone about their Golden Turmeric Latte! I was skeptical but my company bought me a free drink, I figured Id use it on an adventurous beverage. No way was I going to spend my own hard-earned skrilla on a weird hippy drink. But Im sold! The golden latte is sweet, with cinnamon, and its a beautiful golden yellow. The turmeric is definitely there, but its not overpowering whatsoever because of the honey. The flavor combo is *chef kiss* and Im going to get one every time now. Dont be afraid. (I forgot to mention the breakfast tacos which are awesome, and the chocolate chip scone was perfect. Hard to do scones right, but the crumble factor was minimal yet still present. Mm.)

Amazing coffee shop with lots of delicious pastries made in the house, and good coffee. I had a cranberry almond scone, and an apple cinnamon coffee cake, and they were delicious. The coffee was quite good as well. The only problem is the super cold drafts blowing from the air conditioning vents straight at you. I had to go to the other end of the coffee shop to get some relief from the super cold draft, but fortunately it is a huge place, and you can find somewhere that is not always freezing.

I would recommend the Fidel ice coffee it is the best. I asked to recommend I good ice coffee and this is what they said and I choose the small one just in case I did not liked it. On the first sip I immediately regretted choosing the small size. Pick large trust me :) Side note there strawberry cream cheese muffin also delicious.

This is the only coffee shop in McKinney that I would recommend anyone to try out. I got an iced lavender latte with oat milk which is my usual go to drink at any shop. It definitely was better than other shops. I could tell that the shot was over extracted but I m also an espresso nerd and it probably wouldn t make a difference to anyone else especially because it s a milk drink. The atmosphere is great, I just wish they had more lounge seating. I ll be back when I come visit McKinney again.

I took my dogs on a walk from my fiancé s house about a half mile away. It was fairly early on a Sunday morning and I really wanted a cup of coffee. Since I had my dogs with me, I figured the chances were slim of me being able to find something. Filtered has this cool window where you can order a drink outside without needing to go in! The lovely woman working helped me choose a drink (the El Chapo cold brew, it was delicious) and we chatted about our dogs for a minute. The coffee was great and my dogs and I finished our walk. Filtered coffee is my go to local coffee shop. Great service and great coffee. My favorite thing about going to filtered is being greeted by the kind staff especially Peyton. Peyton is always so kind and helpful and really makes my day. He s the reason I keep coming back!

Really fun place with tons of seating and dine in options. They even had vegan and gluten free options as well! The espresso shots are soso not bad not great. The barista made an exceptional recommendation, it was a latte with like honey and cinnamon or something? I dont remember exactly what it was called but it was like a horchata latte and it was AMAZING

Stopped here while passing through last week. I tried the Nola (chutney cold brew, sweet cream, and vanilla). This drink was absolutely delicious. The cold brew was probably the best I ve ever tasted. Very smooth and rich and flavorful. I like that they had a walk up bar area on the sidewalk. Inside, the atmosphere is very laid back and relaxed with many chairs, tables, and long bench for dining and working. I didn t try the pastries, but they looked very appetizing. My only irritation was that it was very busy as the time I went and the line for both the inside and outside bar were long and only two people were working so it took quite a while to get people served. Not enough of an issue personally for lower than a 5 star review. Will definitely return. Thank you for a great new place when I come through town!

I love their coffee and snacks. Staff is very friendly and helpful. But the mens room is filthy...out of paper towels...soap almost gone...and in overall atrocious condition. I am NO FAN of Starbucks but the restrooms are clean there. Filter needs to step it up if they want me to return. (And I sure hope they do.)

I love this place. It s perfect to study with your friends and the coffee is good. I would definitely recommend this place if you want somewhere more quiet than a starbucks. They also have cakes which are better than anything on starbucks menu. Definitely will go again.

The orange sweater latte was amazing. The barista was very kind and made the most beautiful latte art on it (I wish I had taken a picture). The coffee shop is perfect for studying as they had a lot of seating and the music was perfect for focusing. This was my first time here. Came with a friend. How were we supposed to know that WE had to state it was for here?! Isn t it the cashiers job to ask Is it for here or to go? She just assumed we wanted it to go. When we asked why our drinks were being put into to go cups she says oh you have to ask for it to be for here. What?! Then with an attitude says I can pour it into a glass cup. The whole point of coming here was because we wanted our drinks in a cup with the cute designs. But instead it we got paper cups and all the cinnamon and all the mocha was just sitting at the bottom. The drinks themselves were gross. My drink was warm at best. Cashier wasn t friendly at all. Definitely won t be back.

Wonderful! I tried their ham and cheese croissant, blueberry muffin, latte, and bulletproof coffee. The croissant was amazing! The ham was beautifully smoked. The latte was very nice, and had great foam art, but the foam was very acidic. The blueberry muffin was pretty good, but had no outstanding feautures. The bullet proof coffee was also pretty good! It was my first time trying it, so I have no others to compare too. Even my mom (who has no taste for coffee) said the coffee was godly. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone in the area! They also have a lot of interesting specials:)
