I had the catfish which is excellent. The beans and rice is some of the best I have ever had. My only complaint is the hush puppies. The problem is that they are so good, that two isn t enough! I recommend this for some solid Louisiana style food. They also carry Abita beer.

The catfish had a perfect crunch and it wasnt too big just not seasoned well. The fries and hushpuppies were good. The food was fresh. Strawberry lemonade was good. The cashier didnt speak to me when I walked in or placed my order. I am big on customer service when Im supporting and spending my money at any establishment. Hi goes a long way especially when wanting customers to come back and spread the word.

Loved everything!!!!! Wish they had bibs, though. Seafood boils are quite messy, so I had to use a bunch of napkins as a bib. Other than that, we enjoyed everything!!

Had four for dinner. I had the Cajun Alfredo pasta (pictured) and it was delightful. We also had grilled catfish po boy, jambalaya, and a two piece fried catfish (one would have been enough, they are large pieces!). All were very good. Added in a hush puppy basket to start, and it was my first time having them with honey, and that was a game changer. So good! Will definitely be back!

Passed by this place a week ago and the wife and I had an opening to finally try it out. First and foremost, I was impressed with the quality and flavoring of everything we tried, and I really wanted to try everything. Ended up settling on the Cajun Crawfish Chowder, Jalapeno Poppers, Beans and Rice (side), Jambalaya, and the wife had a Fried Oyster Poboy. The chowder was fantastic, great seasoning and slight heat. The poppers were delicious and the bacon wrapping was cooked perfectly (really hate half raw bacon on poppers). The Jambalaya was delicious with generous amounts of chicken, sausage, and shrimp. I could totally indulge in a plate full of their garlic bread by itself. The wife said the beans and rice could have use a little bit more salt but thats to taste and she said they were really good otherwise. She also said her Poboy was really good. Its a new place so Id only have a couple of minor suggestions for them. Dont tease a guy and not have soft shell crab poboys on the menu when yall are using it in the photo for the poboy section. Also maybe as a growth target, add a couple more frozen daq flavors (nudge nudge pina colada). Your staff was amazing, the food was great, and I look forward to coming back to try more soon b/c well be adding this place to our regular rotation now!

Outstanding food in a casual atmosphere. Ordered the red beans & rice and a grilled Cajun chicken poboy and they were SPICY! I could only eat half because my mouth was on fire (I m definitely lightweight when it comes to hot spicy). Will definitely be back, especially during the winter when it s cold and I need the heat.

Surprisingly very good. I am always hesitate with places they throw around the word Cajun because they typically disappoint. My fried catfish here was perfectly seasoned and crispy. My side of coleslaw was seasoned and yummy. Service was fast and food was served hot. Added a margarita for the fun of it (could have been better). PrixeYall show this place some love don t will survive. McKinney needs more places like this. Cute place plant of seating for larger groups and TVs for game watching.

TLDR; Fresh, Seasoned, large portions and fast. We started with the Cajun Crawfish Chowder, which was perfectly seasoned with the right amount of heat and plenty of crawfish in every bite finally, a place that uses crawfish as a ingredient and not as seasoning We also tried the frozen margaritas and boy they didn t skimp on the José or the tequila used. We don t drink that often anymore so we had to top it off with some lemonade The catfish was ultra juicy with a crispy, seasoned batter. It came with seasoned and crispy fries, lime, tartar sauce and seafood sauce. The Cajun Pasta Alfredo was rich and spicy, though the shredded chicken felt out of place among the other textures. It came with a perfectly made garlic bread. Portions were generous and everything was fresh, with even the steamed spinach cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is fast casual with spacious indoor seating and an outdoor area that s great when the weather is nice. Despite a busy Sunday evening, service was quick, making it a satisfying dining experience overall.

When we arrived there were only a group in front of us ordering and a dirty table so really didn t quite know what to expect. I hassled the gentleman taking our order about the grouper and the redfish and he was able to describe them ( i think it provides info on the dishes on his screen) and I went with the grouper. I thought it best to try something I can t get at lots of other restaurants and I m a bit nervous when ordering fish as I don t care for fishy fish. My husband ordered catfish and added shrimp. We also ordered the hog Wild jalapeño poppers as an appetizer. The poppers came out pretty quick likely w/in about 5 minutes. They were unique. Fresh jalapeños wrapped with bacon and stuffed with cheddar cheese (I assume) and a shrimp. They seemed to be air fried that way but not certain. The bacon was hard/crispy w/great flavor. They were served with a small cup/side of ranch dressing. They were not too hot (spicy). I actually wasn t crazy about how hard/crunchy the bacon was but if I could knock 1/2 a star off I would for that, but the flavor made up for it. The rest of our food came out shortly afterwards, probably w/in another 5 min as we were 1/2 way through our poppers. I had my grouper blackened and the flavor was spot on. Not too salty not overkill on the Cajun seasoning..it seemed just right. I also got garlic butter on the side. The red beans and rice were good with a hint of spicy seasoning and the green beans with buttery and garlicky. My husband also seemed to enjoy his food as we both agreed we want to come back and try some other menu items. I was very happy with my food and the service and I highly recommend this new restaurant.

Had the fried cod. It was too crunchy and overcooked. I brought it back and they cooked it the same way. It was overcooked again. Also too heavy a batter on the fish! It was overloaded with corn meal making the coating turn into a hard shell. I would not return as the food was mediocre and there is no table service to take your order. The environment is stark and outdated.

Havent found a fantastic cajun restaurant in the area, so did not know what to expect. However, this walk up to order restaurant exceeded our hopes and expectations. My daughter and I had a fantastic meal. The cajun pasta is a winner! Very well seasoned without being spicy. The Jambalaya was of the sauce over rice variety and really yummy. The shrimp in both dishes were perfectly cooked!!! We look forward to trying more dishes.

I took one taste of the jambalaya and the chowder will be a late night snack. The jambalaya had the right amount of heat, awesome shrimp chicken and sausage. Glad they included toast as I used it to wipe the bowl clean. Give them a try don t let the location deter you the food is great well priced and worth your time. I will be back and probably next weekend.

They have outdoor and indoor seating and a great selection of menu items for everyone. The staff were very helpful and friendly as well. They are located where Rez Burger was before behind Sonic. Service is excellent, friendly and helpful. Order at the counter and they bring it to you. Atmosphere is a little cold and sterile without much decor. Rustic wooden tables and metal chairs. I ordered catfish filet and it was some of the best I have had. Cooked perfectly, not overdone and still moist. Breading was tasty. Coleslaw however, was not so good. The cabbage was in HUGE pieces and many tough parts of the cabbage was included. They would be well served to slice it much more thinly. The coleslaw dressing was overpoured from someones bottle and it would have been nice to have a house made dressing. The french fries have a really tasty spicy salt on them and are very good but they have many rotten black spots. They would be better off to get better grade of potatoes. The hush puppies had a delicious taste but were not cooked in the center and pretty gluey/gummy. Tea and sodas are self serve and they were fine but there was no lemon for the tea. I didnt see sugar either. Overall, this place has a great base (fried catfish) to build on but really needs to fine tune all the details to make it worth a second trip. There are many Louisiana style dishes on the menu that I did not try like jambalaya, etoufee, red beans and poboys. There were lots of customers this first week. I hope they get up to speed soon.
