The restroom was absolutely gross. There were drops of blood in the sink and a few smears of blood on the wall, the sink also had dust as if it had been weeks since anyone cleaned it. Pretty much the whole restaurant was very dusty. The waitresses were all in the corner talking and not being very attentive to us the customers. I kept on trying to call my waitress, but she was so much into her conversation with the rest of the waitresses and never came. Thankfully one of the waiters came. Also, some of the food that I ordered never came and when I told the waitress she said, oh I didn t hear you order it. It was ok though, because I wanted to leave as soon as possible. The food was delicious, but the fact that the restaurant was so filthy and that the waitress was pretty much ignoring us will deter me from going there again. Saddens me, because I really loved the food.

We went to dinner for my brother-in-laws birthday. First the hostess gave us a table for 4 when there were 5 of us. We waited 15 minutes and no waiter came until we stopped to ask for one, the waitress was very friendly but the service in general was very disorganized. For Kumoris high-end restaurant, you can get better service and the same quality at the regular Kumori in Nolana or the Convention Center without paying more, plus they didnt give us printed Menus. In the end they gave us a dessert for making us wait.

If you want to experience fine Japanese dining at its best then this is the place to be. The food was spectacular and the staff was amazing. I drove almost 40 minutes just to check this place out and I can assure you that it was worth the drive. I will be going at least once a week. 10/10!!!

We love MORI! We dine here about two to three times a week. We love the good and atmosphere but most of all, we love the service and care we get here! The best server BY FAR is Leslie! She is so polite, accommodating, and friendly! She really makes our experiences so pleasant every single time we visit! She is the reason we keep coming back!

I would give Mori a five star. We received drinks, refills, and food on a timely matter but trying to find our waiter for the payment was difficult for some reason and when it came to actually paying for some reason she wouldn t let go of the device so, me and 3 of my friends kinda had a hard time paying it while she held the device for payment(awkward). Asked for receipt but had to wait quit awhile for all of ours. :/ and when leaving found out she charged tip for one of my friends when she punched in no tip. Was informing the host about the situation because my friend was embarrassed to speak up about the situation.

I had high hopes for Mori, but my experience was far from satisfactory. My worst experience at a restaurant ever. I ordered a California and a Salmon roll, it was a major disappointment. The rice was mushy and lacked any type of seasoning. The fish, wasn t fresh, it seemed like it had been sitting out for too long. To make matters worse, the presentation was messy. What made the situation even more frustrating was the lack of response from the management. I raised my concerns with both managers, but they were dismissive and didn t seem to care about the issues I pointed out. I listed how the managers said awful things on my back as well, extremely rude. Overall, Mori did not live up to its reputation, the poor quality of the food, combined with the ineffective and rude management, don t come to this place. I won t be returning and wouldn t recommend it to anyone, the prices are questionable too.

I had an amazing dining experience at Mori Japanese Grill! The service was truly exceptional, thanks to our server Leslie, who made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we walked in. We started with the gyozas, which were perfectly crisp on the outside and filled with a delicious savory filling absolutely the best I ve had in a while. The highlight, though, was the lobster roll. It was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every bite was a delight. For the past months we have had several disappointing visits . I returned on 08/09/24 to celebrate my sisters birthday and noticed a difference in service. Katia the manager walked to us 2 times to check on our service. Her 2nd time around I asked if it was under new management to what she replied yes, she has been here for 2 months. The difference is extremely noticeable so happy they made this change I love the place, but had my doubts returning after several unsatisfactory visits. Thanks Mori For Making A Much NEEDED Change!

Love the food, but the service is actually mid, the guy that was working there was ignoring me and my sister on purpose. I would call him right when he passes us and he would walk like we didn t talk to him, very rude for customer service. And when we ordered food he never asked us if we needed anything I had to play catch to get his attention lol, idk who hired him but he wasted 30 min of my day. **Restaurant Review: Mori Japanese Grill at La Plaza Mall** Rating: My wife and I recently dined at Mori Japanese Grill in La Plaza Mall, and we had a fantastic time! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed. Our server, Fernando, was super friendly and made great recommendations. He was also great with our kids, which we really appreciated. We started with two appetizers: the Pork Belly and Wagyu Gyoza. The Pork Belly was delicious so tender and flavorful! The Wagyu Gyoza was a highlight for us; it had a crispy outside and a juicy filling that was simply amazing. For our main courses, we tried the Wagyu Picana and the Omega Roll. The Wagyu Picana was cooked perfectly and had a rich taste that melted in our mouths. The Omega Roll was colorful and fresh, with a great mix of flavors that made each bite enjoyable. The atmosphere was nice and lively, and the manager (I didnt catch her name) was really friendly and checked in on us, which was a nice touch. I do not recommend it at all, it is the worst customer service I have ever received in a restaurant. It took them 25 minutes to get my drinks and that was only because I had to go talk to the manager because the waiters seem like they are doing you a favor. I am usually very understandable and I dont like to complain but this time it was too much because there werent even many people in the restaurant. They brought me my food without the sauces I asked for. And when I asked for them again, they brought them to me when I was almost finished. The last drink I ordered, it took 30 minutes for them to come and ask me if they could substitute an ingredient in the drink because they didnt have it. The worst thing of all is that they didnt even ask me for an apology for the terrible service! I was very upset, expecting to lose a dessert because of all the inconveniences because it was just one, they only left the ticket on the table and ruined my date! I WOULD NEVER EVER DO IT AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT FOR ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING. AAAA

First time to Mori and the food was amazing! Most of the staff treated us very well! The hostesses were very kind and welcoming. We loved our food alot it was all good and came out in a timely fashion. Our waiter was just ok. Waited a while for refills. At some point he took over 15 min to check on us when we needed something. Other that the waiting service we like the place. Adding to the review, placed an order for pick up and the 2 things I asked to be done were not. Added picture to prove I asked for it in the receipt. I ve never made a bad review. As someone in the restaurant industry and currently a manager at a restaurant I ve never expected myself to write a bad review. Maybe there s a lack of training or corporate restaurant management training is just that bad. It takes me a lot to send something back and the bimbimbap was just not what I expected. It came with the egg still raw , like still translucent and did not look anything like the picture provided. I know the menu said the rice was cooked at the table so I assumed by mixing it in that would cook it more. One bite of it and it was a salty , spicy and mushy mess. I asked the server if I could send it back and he immediately said he didn t think I could which I should ve known was a red flag. When the manager got there , as a manager myself , the energy he gave was already off. He genuinely looked like he did not want to be there and was upset I had the audacity to say anything. I didn t want to sound rude at all so I just said at first that it just was not what I expected and I understood if I had to pay but if I could just get it out of the way. He then proceeds to tell me that s why he s there to see what exactly I didn t like about it. Again not trying to sound rude or as if I was complaining I said it was just way too spicy for me. He then proceeds to make it seem like it was completely my fault for ordering that off the menu. If I had let the server know I didn t want anything spicy the server could ve recommended something else . He then tried to say on the menu it clearly describes how spicy it would be which I checked it didn t. The only thing it said was korean sauce. But yes he made it seem like it was all my fault and I should ve known better than to order it. Terrible terrible terrible guest recovery. Terrible management. My first time going and never going back again. The 16 dollars you saved from making it my fault , you lost in idek how much more in revenue because up until that point this place was somewhere I saw myself coming to often and recommending to friends.

Honestly, I never complain much about restaurants because I know how hard it can be to keep things running well when its busy, but wow. The table was dirty, the chairs were dirty, the menus were dirty, we got no utensils or plates, we had a piece of PLASTIC in our sunomono salad with crab. It was awful. The manager came over to give us excuses about it being busy all while saying Im not making excuses BUT.... As if it excuses the terrible service. Not to mention he kept saying how he had been so busy having to clean tables himself and help out. Sir, frankly, you should already be doing that in the first place. Manager doesnt mean you get to stand around and do nothing, it means you are the leader and you need to do everything you can to make sure things are running smoothly and the restaurant looks well. It was really infuriating to hear that as someone who knows the restaurant industry well. The server took a very long time to bring water out and there was stuff in it. He brought out the salad and the rice we ordered and had no utensils for us. I asked for them and he was just standing by the kitchen. Then he tells me they were washing them once he hands them over... How about not bringing out plates with food on them to the table if there is no silverware available? The food was fine, the salad got switched out, but I dont recommend this place if you want a nice experience.

I really loved this place! It s really different compared to Kumori s, but in a good way! I ordered a Tokyo roll and my mom ordered a wagyu roll and it was delicious! The servers were really attentive and even had a purse holder for us, they gave us miso soup for free as an appetizer. I ordered a simple Sheryl temple, and my mom got an alcoholic drink. For dessert we got a matcha lava cake, that came with matcha ice cream and a chocolate lava cake. This place is perfect for a snack break after a day of shopping!

My personal preference. It was okay, ordered spicy eddammes, not a bit spicy ask for some Sriracha.. I was charged $1.25 for a tiny amount of Sirracha. Ordered the Sunomono Salad, which is very sweet..to my liking. The chicken teriyaki bowl had a good flavor. My daughter ordered the Mori Ramen, bland taste. Could be I was there in lunch time.

Waiter was very nice and very well educated. I sat in front of the guys preparing the food. Saw one squirt some sauce on his hand (the one that had a glove on) and lick it. After that he made a weird face like it tasted bad and he gave another guy a try, who proceded to do the same, but in the hand without the glove. None of them washed their hands afterwards and I also noticed the first guy kept grabbing food with the hand without the glove, so besides the hygiene issue I also have a question now, what is the glove for? Also floor is always sticky and I don t blame the restaurant for this, but people need to learn how to pee inside the toilet, not on every other part.

Totally horrible food and it takes too long to finish it. This is the fifth time Ive been there and the food always takes a long time. I asked for a little extra sauce for my chicken, because it was very dry, the waiter informed me that yes but that it is an extra charge for more sauce, I mean like extra after my food took me almost 30 minutes, and after that Its horrible, I ate it because I was hungry and he only told me that the kitchen manager said I had to pay. I told him that was fine, that I didnt want anything. The place is very nice but the food takes a long time and is horrible. The waiter was attentive and helpful. and I dont blame them for cooking mistakes but they need to do something to improve the quality. I hope to return and the quality is improved.

First time and second time was great. This third time service was horrible by our waiter. Our server was constantly on the phone and never checked up on us. The bartender and manager Bryan were the only ones who were attentive. Food was delicious as always, service was by the waiter was the worst.

The non-existent parasis waiter came to our table a maximum of 4 times, it took a long time to take the order, more than 30 minutes for a refile, after a while he never counted again. I ordered a Piacaña and it had the same texture as the sole of a shoe. I couldnt grab it with my fork, let alone chew it. The best thing about that dish was the photo I took of it. I wont go again.

Very nice presentations, good quality of foods but taste is too plain. Not a bad taset by any means, just very basic. If you enjoy plain food with quality taste this is your place. Personally, Ive gone to other sushi places with spicy mayo and teriyaki that help intensify flavors. At Mori, small dipings are provided that get dirty if you dip like twice. Not good if you actually wanna leave filled and like if you got your moneys worth. For a date its fine, but to actually eat, I would not recommend it.
