Great food! However, they like to talk in the back where customers can t see them. I had to say hello I d like to place an order pretty loud before they could acknowledge me. They looked pretty annoyed that I interrupted their conversation.

Sweetie, Midtown Ceviche took me straight to the streets of Spanish America! The lobster roll was like a symphony of flavors, and that Maracuya drink? Pure sunshine in a glass! Theyve got that homemade touch that makes every bite feel like a taste of home. A must-visit spot, no doubt!

I recommend this little corner full of flavor. There are also other stands of different food within the Mercado District. I had the Peruvian Ceviche, Midtown Ceviche, and the fish tacos. Everything was delicious.

Visited McAllen for a business trip. The Mercado District was shared by a local. We ordered pork belly tacos from Midtown Ceviche. Captivated first by the beautiful cacophne of colors. Next the aromas. Finally the tastebud journey that triggered utter foodgasm happiness. Best ever tacos!!!

I asked for the midtown lobster brioche and I get the brioche with coleslaw and 3 pieces of lobster and a bag of chips!!!!! Look at the picture, no chips are displayed- I was expecting fries like the picture, I guess I should have asked! Don t order the lobster brioche! $18 for nothing!

My order was wrong, and it nearly got me hospitalized. I m extremely allergic to onions, and I specifically requested them to be removed from my salad. I ordered takeout, and when I got home, I ate the salad. Mere minutes later, I my throat was closing up, and it was hard to breathe. We had to use the last epi pen we had, and all over some stupid quinoa salad

Im a truck driver, I live in New Jersey and I have to be in this place MCallen, one of the best ceviches I have ever tried in my life, I put it among the top 3 places, a Lima ceviche or A1 yellow chili ceviche, what a delight, I Im going from Mcallen Happy to know that my Peruvian gastronomy is found in these places, I RECOMMEND THEM, 10 POINTS THE CEVICHE

Just amazing Peruvian Ceviche. Fresh fish and fresh ingredients. Great service. Being Peruvian I felt transported to some of the best Ceviche restaurants from back in the day like Juanito or Don Beta. Highly recommend Ceviche Limeño y Ceviche Peruano.

MidTown Ceviche Bar.. was by far some of the best customer service Ive ever received. I was looking for a lighter choice in food at the time and stumbled across this restaurant at the Mercado District. At first I was not aware the fish in the ceviche would be raw upon order and was displeased with the texture of the raw fish. I respectfully returned with my ceviche due to the fact that I was not aware of the rawness of the fish (I should have probably asked beforehand). They explained the process in which ceviche is made, (cooked with lime, which I was already aware of) and filled me with comfort. They kindly prepared my ceviche for a bit longer and it was AMAZING!

The food is really good quality and a lot of respect for the ingredients is given. I think the portions are fair because Ceviche is not ment to be heavy. Most people should be satisfied with the plates offerd. If you are a big eater, you might want to order more than one item. We spent $30 on 2 people with 2 drinks . The flavor was really balanced and had a good combination of ingredients. Would 100% return.. I also like that the actual owners are there, this ensures that the food will be done right all the time.

You may have tried this ceviche from Chef Efren before. As the chef behind Kocina & Lima 21, he now brings Midtown Ceviche inside Mercado District. This Peruvian ceviche is soooo so so good with his signature rocoto sauce. Definitely recommend you try it! It s served with choclo (a Peruvian corn) and cancha (corn nuts) sweet potato, and garnished with a little bit of red onion and cilantro and served with a side of corn chips. I also recommend the quinoa salad! It s a great big serving and is so delicious that you wouldn t think it s so healthy. The entire menu is a pretty light choice without sacrificing flavor & sustenance. Don t forget to get the maracuya mousse (passion fruit mousse) You won t regret it!
