Our room was very dusty and dirty, bed was hard and we felt springs like we were sleeping on a box mattress. They also had an old school rubber mat for the shower,and the ac made noise all night. We didnt sleep a wink. I mentioned it to the desk clerk Belinda she asked why didnt I mention it they wouldve moved us. I said who wants to pack up and move we were very tired. We will never stay at this best Western it was very disappointing to be an airport hotel Rooms: Disgusting

This is my second time staying at this Hotel, I picked this Hotel because of the convenient location being across from the airport and next to the mall, the first time I stayed here everything was perfect, the rooms where comfortable and clean! Sad to report that on my second time and it wasn t nothing like before, the room has traces of mold everywhere, the floor looked like there was something greasy in it and wasn t properly mopped/cleaned. I stayed with my family and we where just staying one night while we where waiting on a flight next morning so trying to argue for a room exchange was going to be more inconvenient and a hassle since our stay was being so short! Hopefully the Hotel management pays more close attention to their rooms proper maintenance and cleaning to avoid this unpleasant experiences with other customers. Based on our experience it would be the last time staying at this hotel.

Flight got delayed so I did a last minute room booking at 2am. I get that check out time is before 11am, but theres no exception for people who came in late? I didnt even get half a day before someone came knocking at my door to ask me to leave. Paid $148 by the way. Breakfast wasnt too bad, staff were fairly friendly

It is literally a few steps from the McAllen airport, it is not a 5 star hotel or anything like that but without a doubt the location if you need to use the airport, it is the best place to stay since the price is similar to the Airbnbs that They are in the area and the difference is that for an Airbnb you would have to take Uber and in this hotel you can walk to the airport, clean, good service, overall good.

We stayed the evening in McAllen Texas for a wedding on Easter weekend. Check in was 3pm. We arrived 10 min before 3pm. The room was still being cleaned - completely understandable I had no problem waiting for the room. A few minutes later we make our way to the room and it was covered in filth. I was traveling with my 3 children, husband and a well groomed, well trained golden doodle who does not shed and is very well mannered. I knew we would be put in a room strictly for people traveling with animals but the room was too dirty even for my dog. Dead bugs everywhere. Dust all over the furniture and appliances. Stains all over the wall. I felt disgusting just being in the room let alone sleeping there for the night. If we were not on a strict time schedule for the wedding we were attending and then determined to be back on the road bright early because it was Easter Sunday and we were trying to get home 3 hours away to enjoy our Sunday Easter festivities I would have absolutely cancelled my reservation/room and went to another hotel. That s how bad it was. The staff was very friendly and pleasant and full of smiles but the room just does not make up for that. I don t think that room had been cleaned in months the amount of filth there was. I took more than enough pictures of the entire room also. Highly disappointed with this stay. I will not return.

When I was planning my trip, I chose this hotel based on the excellent rating it had. To be completely honest, I dont know where they came up with that. Im not saying it was awful by any means. Im just saying that it was just fine. Theres nothing to really rave about. It was fairly clean, the complementary breakfast was actually pretty good, and the location was very convenient for my needs. Its not the Ritz, but its also not a zillion dollars a night. I would consider staying there again. Rooms: It was not as clean and as well maintained as I would have preferred, but it wasnt awful.

My stay was just average. The place is comfortable and clean, however, in my opinion it does not have some facilities that I know are considered for a hotel to have 3 stars and for the price. Since you dont have complimentary water in your room, and breakfast is very simple. I had a small emergency and needed to go to the pharmacy. Hotels usually make it easy for guests to travel at least 2 miles around on a property shuttle. This hotel does NOT do that for the customers. Only to the airport, which seems like a joke to me since the airport is a 2-minute walk away. I mentioned my situation to different people at the counter and the response (a woman morning shift) was the following in a rude tone an a bad way: if you want, Ill call you a taxi without having the slightest intention of helping me even though the situation was serious. I tried to speak to Manager but that was not accessible... I definitely could have called an Uber, but I thought this hotel would have the facilities of 99% of the hotels Ive stayed at. The rest was fine, is an option near to the airport, but I definitely I think its worth staying somewhere further away with a better service. Noteworthy details: without basic facilities

Thank God for Mrs. Alma at the front desk!! I was traveling with my elderly parents and got to McAllen late because our flight was delayed. She came to get us as soon as I called her and made sure our stay was comfortable and hassle-free. She was so compassionate and helped me every step of the way. I ve stayed here before and is definitely the hotel of my choice. It s conveniently located, very clean, comfortable and great complimentary breakfast. They even had a light dinner for us in the evening, which came in handy. No need to leave the hotel or order delivery. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the McAllen area.

I felt compelled to write as I was so pleasantly surprised. Unaware that it was spring break, and traveling last minute, my typical choice for lodging was unavailable. Since this was the closest choice to the airport, I booked 1 night, even though my visit was to be for 7. Since the moment I arrived I was impressed by the modern, warm color pallette and updated decor, and the inmaculate condition of the hotel. Alma at the Front Desk was so pleasant that I felt great. Arriving in the room and finding a generous room size, comfortable mattress, superior linens, towels and toiletries, I was less skeptical. The standard breakfast buffet made more appetizing by the friendliness of staff. I was inmediately convinced and extended my stay for the whole week. It is so rare nowadays to find staff that appear genuinely concerned for the guest, that I had to write. Also, this was a brand that I typically avoided in my travel days years ago, as the properties were dated, but, I have now left fully convinced to try the brand again. And, this property now my 1st choice in McAllen.

Room was clean and very modern. We arrived a bit early and the staff assured us that we will get to check in early. There was an additional fee of $50.00, but we didnt mind the fee, as we were exhausted. The breakfast was better than expected! The area was super clean and there was a large spread to choose from. This location is walking distance from the mall. This was a super plus for me. Nearby activities: Mall Walkability: Everything is about four minutes of a walk.

Ive stayed at this location twice whilst in town and have enjoyed everything about the stay. Everything is clean, staff have been kind and professional, breakfast was lovely and I love the blackout curtains. I will absolutely be staying here next time Im in town. Room was clean. Shower clean. Not sure how old hotel is, but use some silicone touch ups specially around shower. Hotel right across airport and next to mall. Only draw back was when walk outside the smell is bad like the place is next to a sewage treatment plant. No smell inside though that was plus. Breakfast was good. No bacon that day though. Not deal breaker. Enjoy the little cozy hotel. Pricing wasnt bad.

Happy hour is my favorite thing about this place free beer and pulled pork sliders. Rooms are great. Prices for a room felt higher but the breakfast and Happy hour well prices are good across McAllen airport easy to walk well worth the price staff are very friendly and helpful in anyway. I ve been at the best western plus for over a month now. The entire stay the staff has been so attentive and welcoming. I tell everyone it s my home away from home. When I come to the hotel in the evenings I am always welcomed in such a warm way by Alma. Every single time I see her she always makes me feel so special! She always asks how my day was and if there s anything she can do to make my stay better! I m actually sad to leave and I ll miss our small conversations. I only wish I can take her with me! I feel extremely safe here and if I ever make my way back to McAllen this will 100% be the hotel I choose! Thank you! -Theresa

The hotel is very close to the McAllen airport where we stayed for two days. The front desk and cleaning staff were very attentive, diligent and friendly. We arrived in McAllen and made our reservation at the front desk. Checkin and checkout were very fast. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Adequate Wi-Fi with enough USB contacts to recharge cell phones, tablets, etc. We rented two rooms for two people at a cost of 124 USD per day per room with taxes. Which includes a very complete breakfast buffet, very delicious coffee, milk, orange juice, fruit, cereal, waffles, bread and very hot scrambled egg with beans, consumed in the same lobby. The hotel is worth the price. The only drawback is that the sink was inside the bathroom and shower, therefore only one person can use these services. The lobby has 24-hour coffee and a small store as well as a coffee maker, microwave, and a small refrigerator in the room. I would definitely go again.

Honestly I m very picky at hotels at stay in, Best western plus met my expectations beyond belief from the front desk down to the house keeping you guys are Amazing! Clean, friendly, and best of all soo comfortable. Definitely will be back. Thank you!
