This comic store has got to be one of the best in the valley! Their more better than Goliath Toy store in Edinburg because those people lack the decency to help their customers and I even promoted Kaboom comics on their review page. I will be coming to kaboom comics again in a few days when Im on break so I can get my daily dose of comic books!

Went to check out and play MTG Pauper tournament. Pat and Sam and very accommodating to their customers and knowledgeable about not only MTG but other card games(Dragonball, Pokémon, One Piece, and more). Had a blast coming and will tell others about this wonderful place. Snacks and drinks are also sold here and there is plenty of food spots near by. Will definitely be coming back in the future.

It was love at first sight! The funko pop section is awesome, the comics are bountiful as well as their graded comics and so much more. If you re into Pokemon TCG, building Gundam sets or D&D they got you covered too along with awesome customer service

Went in and spkw the lady at the counter to see if they were accepting collectibles to buy. She was very rude to me and my wife. When I asked to spkw the manager he was not there. The only way to spkw with Issac that is the managers name is through Facebook. VERY unpleasant experience.

It is a good comic shop and they have some amazing stuff to offer. Customer service is there but needs more interaction . The books are a lil pricey but reasonable because you dont need to worry about shipping. Highly recommend

I didn t think much would surprise me, but was I wrong when I walked into this amazing facility decked out for tournaments and streaming it s a paradise for any game, cartoon and comic book enthusiast, from statues to collectibles and rare items, the cherry on top was the knowledgeable answers and pleasant vibe I got from Sam who was helping me. I gave it a 4 because the arcade area was hot and they had a lot of games that were not synced correctly. Only one player could play Aliens because player 2 gun was stuck shooting at top left corner. Then player 1 gun would get their stats on player 2 side. It was completely off. Dont get me wrong... its always fun especially with the games being FREE. This visit just had its off day.... and thats ok :) definitely going again.

One of the best comic book stores I have visited and I have visited a few in my travels around Texas! The props and life size collectibles sold around the store were amazing, museum quality showcasing. The life size Silver Surfer hanging from the ceiling was my favorite piece and was amazed with its presence. Then dont even get me started on the FREE PLAY Arcade in the back! With everything from classic 80s arcades to Mortal Kombat to race simulators to shooter games! Definitely a must visit! My only negative was that they were out of a recent back issue of The New Fantastic #2! This however is a good problem to have as it only suggests that they have many patrons and you need to get your issues quick or use a pull box service. Great place! Totally visiting my next trip down south!

I ve been coming here for some years now and one thing I can confidently say is that regardless of whether it s your first time at this comic book store or your millionth, you will ALWAYS feel welcomed and helped by the friendly staff this location has. There s a lot to see here, from comics, to merch, to Funko s, games, incredible statues, and action figures. Oh, and they take trade-ins for store credit and cash when able. Just talk to Isaac he is very knowledgeable, friendly and always gives you a fair deal. Lets support our local comic book stores! Connected to the awesome comic shop is a classic old school video arcade where you are automatically transported to a happier time. In the Valley we are blessed to have several comics shops to visit, but what sets Kaboom on top of its competitors is the awesome staff. Ramsey is truly an entertainment visionary from Kaboom comics, Anime Boom, to the awesome Comic-Cons he has truly raised the geek bar in the RGV.
