I love this place. I just wish it was consistant. I can order 2 mediums and they come in different cup/quantity size. They are both concretes, just different flavors. I went yesterday for the $3 float special. In the picture (which is taken from their website), the bottom blue indicates the amount of icecream that was in my cup. The top blue line shows about where the rootbeer went to. That was very disappointing. In my opinion, that is their service. They just throw it together without quality control and then hand it out. Ive gone and even had my concerete not mixed. Better training? I would go more if there was consistancy.

We just finished dinner and needed some serious ice cream. One of our buddies recommended Andys and it was my first time, so we went. When we got there, it had a couple of people in line. The menu was in the middle of the area, but you had to order through the window. We walked up to the front area vs the drive through. The music was nice and I was jamming. The one who took my order was very nice and repeated my order which I respect. The custards were really good and very flavorful. All of them were jam packed with their respective ingredients. I definitely underestimated the large for its size. A bit too pricey for my taste, but its really good.

I m sorry but when Andy s came to Grand Prairie I took my daughter a few times out the week because of the proportions of the ice cream comparative to the price. The newer one off broad is subpar at best. I paid $7 for this and the ice cream barely broke the threshold of cup. Even The scoops are smaller. It s almost offensive. I m taking my business to Coldstone. Get it together Andy s. Great service though

Im so glad you guys are here in the area, unfortunately my Butter Pecan Concrete was nowhere near the amount of pecans and butterscotch as Im use to getting at the Sublett location. I know this is day two of opening but please train your crew to blend custards better. All the ingredients were at the bottom and only ice cream on top. Update: came back maybe they trained there crew better. Wow was that wishful thinking. I asked for a butter pecan and got custard with little to NO butterness or pecan!!! I am APPALLED! Looks like the owner replies to five star reviews. He would be surprised if he did a mystery shop late in the evening!

Andys Frozen Custard is whipping up some of the finest frozen custards in town at this Mansfield location located on E Broad near 360. We dropped by on a weekday after 6 for a frozen treat and decided to place our order with the cashier. There is ample parking provided as well as a drive-through for quick and fast service. Upon approaching the service counter, there was a large, beautifully displayed menu with prices, detailed descriptions of the items, and pictures. We went ahead and placed an order for the pint of hot fudge brownie and 2 kid sizes of dirt & worms, which was a vanilla custard garnished with oreo crumbs and chewy colorful gummy worms. The difference between your typical standard ice cream and custard is that, according to the FDA, ice cream must have at least 10 percent milk fat and less than 1.4 percent egg yolk while custard contains at least 10 percent milk fat but must have more than 1.4 percent egg yolk. The other difference is that ice cream machines mix in more air for a fluffier product, while custard machines mix in very little air for a more creamy result. The hot fudge brownie was indeed rich and creamy with ooey gooey fudge and moist pieces of chocolate brownies incorporated in a frozen vanilla custard. The kid sizes of the dirt & worms were indeed more than a treat, and the kids were completely satisfied. The prices were fair while the quality of the products was second to none. The staff and employees were professional and eager to assist in any way to provide top-notch service. The ambiance was nice and modern, and it was perfect to hang out and enjoy the Texas summer months paired with some great custards from Andys!

Dont ask any questions about THEIR rewards system or app or any of it even though THEY tell you to download and be a part of their rewards. So frustrating when it comes time to use your first reward, and youre not sure how to retrieve it, and EVERYONE, including the child manager, says they know nothing about it.

Good place to get a sweet treat at, especially when they had their monthly flavor of thin mints. Just keep in mind Andys locations have no inside dining, so if you want it in the summer be prepared to eat quickly or have a way to get home fast!

We just left a baseball tournament excited to grab an ice cream. We pull up to the menu board and see there is a new Dallas Mavs Jackhammer. A young man walked up to take our order and we asked what the blue candy is in the new Jackhammer and his reply-honestly I don t know. We said ok! We ordered a James brown with extra hot fudge and extra peanut butter, s mores jackhammer, mint brownie, and another James brown. We pulled up to the window and gave them our code for rewards. A young man handed us an ice cream and we asked what it was he said Jamesbrown and we asked is this the one with extra? He said I don t know straight faced. So I said we need to know as they are different orders. He said I ll tell you when the other one comes out. We were handed the rest of our order then he said the first one was the one with extra. Then he shut the window not saying thank you or have a good evening just looked at us. We pull off to drive home and there is NO brownie, No hot fudge, and a pump of peanut butter. Nothing like peanut butter and vanilla custard So after being charged $33 for ice cream, it was wrong and very disappointing. Customer service was lacking.

Very disappointed in my experience. The custard is smooth and delicious but...there is no inside dining. For goodness sakes its 100 degrees and my waffle cone melted all over me. Only some benches outside and only one of them was in the shade. Employees were less than welcoming. Didnt really seem to want to be there. I probably wont return.

I had to google the definition of custard: Ice egg, not ice cream. It is silk. The operation is really clever. I applaud the hiring manager and training personnel. The mostly high school aged employees were amazing. Everyone was friendly, funny, engaged. We each ordered something very different and each item was very, very good. Paid $10 for a large sundae, specifically requested extra butterfinger topping and extra hot fudge. No toppings of any kind beyond the halfway mark of the cup. I absolutely will not be returning to this location. I ordered a large concrete with waffle cone pieces and pineapple and paid for such when I got to the window. The concrete that I received had no waffle cone pieces and a crunched up cake cone thrown on top of the ice cream. I was instructed to come back around the drive through to place a different order (after also being told that they were closing in 10 minutes despite it only being 10:20). When I got back to the window, the cashier laughed and explained the cake cone was put in because we re out of the waffle cones. I asked him why that wasn t communicated to me upon ordering and he insisted that he just got there and it should have been, but because it wasn t oh well.

Is there a shortage of brownies? My James brown was mostly custard with specks of brownie in it, and is supposed to be thick, the consistency was more like a thick milkshake.... very disappointing . We are visiting from out of town and heard good reviews about this place, however, we ended up comparing it against Culvers and as far as concretes go.. I must say Andys sub par in comparison... To boot ... the attendant was rude, though there was nobody else in line he could not wait to hand us the custards and just said here! And shut the sliding window... I guess this will be our 1st and last time here...

Another great location for the Springfield, Missouri based frozen custard company. Had an Ozark Turtle sundae and an Apple Pie sundae. Both just as good as the ones I ve had from the Springfield sites. Great ingredients, staff training and quality control keeps these treats very consistent from site to site. Went to initial opening event and the place was packed. The parking lot is small and the drive through lane will usually be extending beyond their property but there is plenty of nearby parking available.
