Service was good thats it. The Hamburger had absolutely no seasoning none nada. Onion rings were cold and half cooked. If you want to know a price of anything on the menu you have to ask, the prices are not listed. The cold glasses from the bar for beer were dirty. I do not recommend this place, there are way better places to go in Magnolia dont waste your time with this one.

Im giving this place 2 stars because I went here for the first time yesterday and I m not the biggest fan. I went with a group of friends to celebrate a 21st birthday. The food was great but what I had a problem with was, I wanted a mix drink: when I went to show my ID, the waitress was accusing me of lying my age and thought I had a fake ID. She took the ID to the back to scan it but took forever to do so and still didn t believe I was 27. The first drink I ordered, they made it a virgin. There was no alcohol in it whatsoever and the waitress blamed it on the bartender for being new. Which I still believe her doing that she thought she was serving a minor. Another thing I wasn t really a fan of, there s no prices on the menu. Then come to check out, if you re a party of 6 or more they charge you for a tip regardless if the service was good or not. I wasn t planning on tipping that night but I had to whether I liked it or not. Not sure if I ll be coming back to this place

I didnt understand the menu. There were no prices. There was a QR code on the menu that we thought may link to the website but the QR code didnt work either. All but one of the waitstaff was sitting at a table talking. We constantly had to get our serves attention to get what we had asked him for. Ryan was his name, he kept saying about everything that he just worked there. Food was good. Hope you find a better server.

It took a while to get any service. We had to request refills (water, soda, and tea). The hand sanitizer dispenser was empty and not refilled after notifying them. Other than that, everything else was great. Loved the environment. Food : 5/5

Our server, Ryan, quickly welcomed us and explained the menu as it was our first time. She answered all of our questions and took time to make sure we would come back a second time. The pretzel was amazing and really enjoyed the spicy mustard. Pricing seemed to be reasonable and I was able to feed a family of 5. Ryan ensured our experience was great and we WILL be returning and asking for her again! Kid-friendliness: We had 3 kids and they never felt or were treated like an inconvenience for them to be there, and they aren t the quietest of kids.

Our bartender on Monday 4/22 was great! Black and red hair her name was Hailee S (on the receipt) Great drinks and actually has knowledge for bar and food there! We asked if she s always bartended here and she said sometimes, from the interactions with us and other people at the bar were great! This is the type of experience we were hoping for being our first time here!

Wanted to try this place out for something quick to eat. When I got there, the only people on the floor were the bartender and a server. Both seemed like they were taking turns for tables. I decided to sit at the bar and was greeted by the bartender, Catherine. She was super kind and friendly. I decide to get a burger and it came out looking/tasting delicious. Beer was cold, food was great, and Catherine was wonderful. I had a good time.

After having been to a couple of different locations, we had high expectations for this one. But we were truly disappointed. The cheese curds were amazing, and the Caesar salad was good. But the fish and chips were lacking flavor and unappealing, and the catfish Mardi Gras was bland. Our server was great, and we didnt have the heart to tell her that the food wasnt good. But we wont be back.

I love the food at 242, but never order for delivery! I ordered at 4:15 for 242 Bar and grill which is less than 2 miles from my house. Grubhub sent a text saying I would get my delivery between 4:44 - 4:59, at 4:42 y all sent another text saying it would deliver between 5:09 - 5:29! My Oder was delivered at 5:30 ICE COLD. This is unexceptionable! Not sure why your driver took so long, but I will never use GrubHub again!

Not sure what happened, used to order food from here all the time, last few months just isn t up to snuff. Had a shrimp and pasta meal that I ordered all the time, it went south, Cajun chicken and pasta same thing, been sticking to the boudan balls, which are delicious. Husband got wings and they were gross.. sauce taked old or like refrigerator & made him nauseated after only the 3rd wing. My Tuna tacos were very over cooked and I got charged for extra sauce but there wasnt any on the taco to begin with. Then my husband complained about the bathroom being nasty so they opened the door started to clean it and the SMELL came all the way to our table!! So nasty! To top it off, they make their wait staff pull apart paper towels! Like what the hell they make 2.13 pulling paper towels apart. Really are they hurting that bad! Anyway we wont be back.. I was walking up towards the bar and get stared ugly RBF eyes up and down by one of the servers. Wow someone was in a bad mood I ordered a Tito s & Soda. I took one sip and i can still taste the disgusting flavor in my mouth. At first, I thought it was my tastebuds but glancing over at the bar shelf and there wasn t any Tito s. I was given a bottom shelf vodka located on the speed rack. I couldn t finish my drink noticing the gnats around the bar area and the lime was not fresh. It was hard to miss people coming in because it was slow. A couple came inside and sat at a table. 5 10 minutes went by and they were never approached by a server. While 3 servers were just talking. Finally the couple decided to get up and leave. I went to another bar and notice saw the couple that left. They told me they saw servers standing around and not one went up to them. What a lack of customer service.

Im giving you a 3 because I got the raw catfish but taking it home to finish cooking it. My husband liked his meal. The fried pickles was the best. It was our first time and I couldnt get past the smell, clean out from obviously people smoking inside, needs a good scrubbing. Disappointed no cobbler which was one of the main reasons we came, someone said best cobbler ever In a review, I was excited till there was none, she said they never have cobbler on the menu. I was impressed by the size of this place and it seems, from the menu at least, to cater to families. The food was fair - I had chicken wings that were cooked well, but the carrots and celery seemed to have passed their fresh stage. My main concerns are: 1. The place is huge, yet the ladies restroom has only two stalls - one stall was out of order at the time of my visit, and the soap dispenser was empty. 2. The floor is very slippery when wet. 3. While families seem to be encouraged (there is a Kids Menu), there is a child eye level gaming machine with guns and a screen showing sexualized images of women. I fully appreciate that it is the responsibility of parents to be aware of surroundings and to make their own go/no-go decision, but this particular machine was close to where I was seated and its inappropriate positioning relative to children impacted my overall opinion of this venue. I will visit again and see if there are improvements that may change my rating.

Oh for the love...this place smells horrible. They charged us for ice. Double crown on the rocks and one beer $25. Ticket literally said $2 for on the rocks. My husband has been drinking crown on the rocks for years and hes never been charged for ice and the price for a double crown is the same everywhere we go. The waiter was great though....as far as persona goes. The bathroom was filthy. There was wet toilet paper on the ground in many places and we were there at 9pm. There were no more that 15-20 people in the whole establishment

It s always a hit or miss with the servers here, my order always somehow gets mixed up. Hailee is great! We re regulars here we come every week, get the same thing each time. Took my date here after dinner and we were kicked out within an hour. Arrived close to 10pm on a Friday night and were told by 11pm that the bartenders wanted to go drink at another bar up the road and it was last call . Website says open until 2am which was why we had drove here. Music was great! DJ live by what I can only assume was the bartenders boyfriend with the PDA that was seen. Barkeep was very short and rude even though normally I m a pleasant person she just acted annoyed that she had to serve us drinks. Went to another bar when we left and ran into the staff which had managed to close this place down entirely before midnight on Friday. I m not sure what company policy is if this is normal just be warned this isn t your late night watering hole. Consider teaching the staff to tell the guests that there isn t enough people there to keep the place open. Profits to loss makes sense to me; quitting early to get drinks elsewhere seems unprofessional. Otherwise cheers!

Been to all of the 242 locations, and this one is the best. Been here twice and have had two menu items and both were great! Beer was cold and you can tell the lines were clean properly. My wife and I came in Friday night to do karaoke. We sat on the patio because the weather was amazing. Maui was our server and to find out she s also a manager here. She gave us great recommendations on food and drinks available. We came in a few times before, service was mediocre from several different young waitresses. Fun sports bar atmosphere with pool tables and nice outdoor seating. Had boiled crawfish and was slightly disappointed because it tastes like they boil in water and put seasoning on top instead of boiling in seasoned water (if you know, you know!!). Those in my party who ordered burgers really enjoyed it. Fried food batter was very salty. I would go back but wouldn t order boiled crawfish.

We have been here 6 times this crawfish season and it s been amazing almost every time. Today the crawfish was a little over cooked BUT the general manager came over to our table and talked to us for about 20 minutes. His friendly attitude and welcoming energy made us forget about the over cooked crawfish. definitely will be back with in the week to eat some more of their delicious crawfish!!! Service here is amazing and everything else on the menu is really good and perfect too.

Me and my wife love this place and we used to go there for lunch but for some stupid reason they dont open till 4pm Monday through Thursday so they wont see us anymore Too much traffic that way to go after 2 or 3

Bartender was fabulous! The kitchen needs work. Shouldnt take 40mins to get an undercooked catfish po-boy (also, try a baguette that is a bit softer so as to not tear up the roof of your mouth) with unsalted waffle fries. Not sure why they decided to send out the fried pickles 15mins after the sandwiches - the idea was that they would be the appetizers. Probably wont be back for food. But the bartender was on it, drinks were good. Wish i could make this a regular spot for food as well.

Sat at bar with my wife we ordered a drink and 12 wings. As we are talking and having our drink, we witnessed a waitress in the back at the expedite window was eating food, and then picked her teeth with her fingers several times, then wiped her nose with her sleeve , then reached over and grabbed silverware and put on a plate with food to serve. Need to say we canceled our order and moved on. I hope this review will help manage the employees better in the future. NO STARS if I could.

Went to watch the Texans game today. We sat at the bar. Took the waitress at least 5 minutes to acknowledge us. We asked for a menu and it took her over 20 minutes to ask for our order. Ended up leaving. Horrible service.

I liked the outdoor patio space. There were plenty of TV screens and tables were spaced out. Our server was Porter, she did a great job checking on us and getting food and drinks to us pretty quick, very pleasant personality.
