Great experience. The waitress was nice, the food was good, and portions were big. What made the visit over the top was this guy, Im pretty sure he was a manager. He was busting his butt and was probably the most friendly person Ive ever met. He checked on tables, bussed tables, was courteous, and even stopped us on the way out to get us a bag for our to-go boxes. None of it was absolutely necessary, it was just apparent that he went out of his way to make everyone there comfortable and ensure they had a good experience. No matter what he makes there is no may its enough.

Miscommunication with our table. Sat for 15 minutes before we had to ask for someone to assist us. I ordered chicken tenders, lets just say Alamo draft house has better chicken tenders. The green chili gravy has sausage in it, which is served with chicken tenders hmmm. Appetizers are better than the meals.

The best part of my experience was the service. Kenzie and Lucas were fantastic, to say the least. Service was top-notch !!! The food was decent, and I will return to try the oysters along with other options on the menu as oysters were not available on my visit. Definitely worth a stop and try it for yourself

The service was excellent, shrimp were not fresh, but we are in the middle of the desert and they were delicious, try them with a cold beer, they are awesome. The birria tacos are good and the fajitas amazing . Unfortunately the burger (I got the big easy) was lacking . Super burnt dry meat, not juice at all very very disappointing, even the sliders were super dry .Overall cold draft beer, good peel and eat shrimp, the chips and salsa, well the queso, are good any day . It s a sweet spot for a cold beer and appetizers. .. hopefully they ll fix their burger meat issues. Also tables are too small for 4 people, if you order chips and salsa, it s impossible to fit food for 4 people comfortably, so yeah that s another bad point, maybe booths are larger.

I had a horrible experience when I came in. It was not busy and I requested to sit at the bar and was sat. It took about 15 minutes to be greeted by a bartender although there was a woman in front of me. Then to find out the manager had been in front of me making drinks the entire time. She was very stand-offish and rude when I asked what she was making. I really did not feel welcomed by Niya. The food was alright but did take a while to come out. The overall vibe was nice but I wish the service was better for me to come back.

UPDATE 7/7/24: fantastic service all around, especially our waiter Santos. Whatever issues they had early seem to have been ironed out. Oysters Rockefeller were among the best weve ever had, bacon-wrapped shrimp were perfectly prepared, chipotle burger was grilled medium without us asking and turned out juicy and flavorful. Even our little guys popcorn shrimp were tasty and not overdone. We had their European-style cheesecake again and this time my wife agreed with assessment - excellent! Very good brand-new restaurant that could get even better when they iron out the inevitable issues that accompany any hot new opening. My family and I had lunch and were generally impressed by the food and service with a few areas for improvement. Let s start with the misses. The guacamole app was far too salty even for my salt-loving toddler but was otherwise fresh and citrusy. My wife s shrimp fettucine alfredo s sauce had the consistency of watered-down milk, which can be attributed to the kitchen staff rushing to plate the noodles before they had time to drain properly, and I made that observation to the server with the hope that she would forward it to management. On the plus side, my wife s pomegranate & pecan salad was outstanding, especially paired with the balsamic vinaigrette dressing. My mother-in-law s rotisserie chicken was tender and the side of home-style skin-on mashed potatoes was very good, though the pinto beans were somewhat bland. My own ribeye steak initially came to the table rare rather than medium, but after a quick trip back to the kitchen it returned beautifully seared and, in a perfect example of the Maillard reaction, was as excellent a steak as any I ve had in Lubbock. I also had the mashed potatoes and beans and shared my MIL s opinion of both, though my wife prefers a creamy skin-free mash. Where we also differed, surprisingly, was in our opinions about the cheesecake. Although my wife is European, she has grown accustomed to the creamy cheesecake aberrations served at the Cheesecake Factory and similar corporate outlets, even eschewing the denser authentic New York-style cheesecakes, while I have had the reverse journey and am now a fan of creamy/crumbly European-style cheesecakes. Let me be clear: this cheesecake was exquisite, and my wife needs her palate reset :-). My MIL, who has been in the US for only a year, shared my opinion. Our other dessert item was the pineapple upside-down cake, which was flavorful if a bit dry. With two lemonades and tax our check came to $108, which is a bit steep overall but my steak, the cheesecake, and my wife s salad made the meal totally worth it. I should note that there is a long wait for tables, which we avoided on the third try by showing up at 10:50am, just before opening. Service quality is OK, understandable for a newly opened place -- especially given how atrocious it can be elsewhere in the post-COVID era. The ambiance is casual and friendly, and surprisingly not as loud as you might expect. I ll probably give the place a few weeks to settle in and then stop by to try a few more items from the menu, although I may be tempted to try the excellent ribeye again to make sure it wasn t a fluke, and of course I ll be having another slice of that outstanding cheesecake.

The manager Quinton and our server, Andrew R treated us so special! We had the best service we have ever received in any restaurant. From walking in the door through the entire experience, everything and everyone was amazing. The gentleman and his trainee that served is seemed to have a sixth sense on when drinks were about to get low and had refills ready. They also suggested great options and seemed genuinely happy to be there. 10/10 great place to visit Kid-friendliness: We had 3 kids with us and they had a great time. The servers interacted well with them, they loved the food, and the tvs kept them busy in any silent moments we had.

Our first time at Johnny Fabs, and we were pleased! I ordered the Stacked Hatch Green Chile Enchiladas, w/cilantro lime rice. I skipped the beans it comes with and had an over easy egg on top instead. The food came out hot and really tasty. No heat, to speak of, but the flavor was rich and satisfying. I appreciated the ability to customize my order with no up charge. My husband ordered a hamburger and fries with a side salad. He said the salad, with Jalapeño ranch dressing was very good, as was the hamburger. The fries were just okay. If the hamburger came with a wheat bun option, and a few more pickles, he would have given it 5 stars. Our waiter, Preston, was attentive and brought fresh waters several times. The atmosphere was fine, especially if you like watching sports. I found the establishment quote cold, but it might just be a me thing. I ll take a sweater next time. The prices were quite reasonable. We will go back!

This was my first time here. I had been looking for a Po Boy ever since I came back from Atlanta, GA and saw this place pop up in my search. It was delicious! I m usually apprehensive about the shrimp being dry and little with these kind of sandwiches, but the shrimp was meaty, juicy, crispy, and filled with flavor. The restaurant is absolutely adorable! Our server, Donovan, made the experience so pleasant! He gave us a warm welcome, had high energy, and made awesome recommendations! We will certainly be coming back!

This was our first time in! McCayla took great care of us, answered all of our questions, very attentive! The food was delicious, came out hot and those green chili mashed potatoes were the BEST I ve ever tasted! We will definitely be return customers so many menu items we want to try! I stepped out of the car and right away I knew I made the right choice! The smell drew us in and had my mouth watering before I even sat down. We shared a Texas Torpedo to start off and it was delicious and had some heat to it! For my main meal I had a Cuban sandwich and it was full of flavor. Everyone was so friendly and the owner walked around and checked in everyone. Definitely recommend!

I visited Johnny Bs and my experience was incredibly disappointing. Out of the 14 people in our party, only 2 or 3 people said that their burgers were decent. Additionally, much of the food came out tough or burnt. To illustrate how poor the food was, one individual had ordered fajitas and the smoke from the burnt food made everyone near us cough. I would not recommend visiting Johnny Bs.

Ms. Kate is a wonderful bartender, everytime we come in. She is always attentive and helpful when helping us. No matter what, she always takes care of us no matter our ask. She is the best one out there. Brendon is very helpful when it comes to getting us drinks and when we need something he does not hesitate. Ms. Yami helps when everyone else is busy and she drops everything she is doing to help us. All in all the service here is 10/10 I would definitely recommend. To them it s not a job but a way to serve people.

The fajita bowl looked like it was something Taco Bell would serve, the pecan chicken salad had rotisserie chicken that tasted like it had been days old, and the kids menu cheeseburger sliders were burnt to a crisp and had a weird taste like frozen burgers would. I would not recommend this place and we will not be ordering from here again.

Noticed this new place a couple of weeks ago and just had a chance to try it tonight. We were greeted and seated immediately, which was great. Decor is kind of what you d expect given the name. Some 50 s/60 s stuff, but not like an old 50 s diner. Some neon, lots of old photos, and lively music, but not too loud. Server was very good, answered all of our questions, and made some great suggestions. Ended up getting the Green Chile Cheeseburger, and it did not disappoint. Great flavor from the chile, but not too hot. Burger was flavorful without being overly heavy. Fries were very good as well. They have a pretty broad menu, and you can get everything from burgers to enchiladas and fajitas. Something for everyone! Price was pretty reasonable as well. Will be back for sure!

Stopped by here to try out this new place. I watched it progress as it was being built so I was curious. I started with the Hatch Green Chili Queso and I must say I was surprised at how good it was Creamy, warm and spicy it was full of great flavor The chips were fresh and had a good flavor. For the entree, I went with the servers recommendation, Birria Enchiladas. This looked awesome when it hit the table and tasted even better. Hot bubbling cheese, and very tender meat inside with a great tasting sauce. It was a definite hit that I will be back for as soon as I get back to Lubbock.

Food was overpriced. Three of us for lunch at $51.33 drinking water. Food was average. Service was minimal. Got our order wrong. Three days after eating there we heard a report on kcbd food for thought. The report showed 28 violations. I think most of them were corrected during the inspection. Not impressed. Will probably not go back.

Wife and I ate there, we both got violently sick. We had oysters and shrimp, then burgers... pretty sure the seafood was tainted. Just saw they failed their health inspection, they were not keeping the oysters/seafood cold, along with dead flies and alive flies all over the kitchen. Food poisoning is not fun, we were both sick for a good 48 hours. It was immediately after we left the restaurant that we became ill... after I saw the failed health inspection I wanted to post this. You cant mess around with raw oysters and seafood. They shouldnt be allowed to sell raw seafood unless they can properly handle it. Paid $100 for mediocre food and food poisoning.
