I remember going to this area when I was little. We always had so much fun. My children and I revisited it when we went fishing here the other day. We only caught a small perch, though we had lots of fun fishing. You feel like you are not in Lubbock anymore. It is a great place to go and enjoy family and nature.

Clean Park, but they stripped the grass out. I guess to regrow grass. But if you go there to fish. You wont catch anything but a channel catfish. No bass or any other type of fish. Prairie dogs everywhere they are friendly. Park is never packed with lots of parking. Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome. No one seems to mind dogs unleash but use a leash. Picnic area: A few.

Park is usually pretty clean. It has dedicated paths to walk or run on. If you walk around the entire larger side ( west side)of the park it is about 2 miles. There is workout equipment in one area. Lots of people go fishing or take their kayaks or other small boats. People do take their dogs there but if your dog is small animal reactive maybe dont take them unless you want to be dragged. There are a ton of Prarie dogs every where! That is one down side. But there are also a lot of other wildlife too. Ive seen owls, foxes, turtles and a few other things.

Negative 250 the water fall was bone dry and excuses made on the parks attractions..I am dropping all donations to the park..Reports made to media and magazine outlets. I love coming here its pretty calm ...good fishing place.... Also has a track around the entire area for walking if you want to walk has three or four docs as well you can find carp crawdads bass catfish you can even see a beaver go by every now and then pretty neat little place

So the park has a very picturesque sunset. It is large and has a workout area. The lake is a nice size and kept somewhat clean. On cold nights you can stop by He-Brews coffee and get something warm for your stroll.

The park is very nice for recreational purposes. Its family friendly for walking, jogging, bike riding or having a picnic. I only give 3 stars bc it could really be more clean. Theres trash strewn everywhere including in the lakes. Broke. Glass everywhere or beer bottles strewn about. Theres lots of graffiti
