Absolutely love this place! Right across from the pavilion is the North Fork feed to the Brazos. I take my dog out there off leash almost every day. Aztlan and McKenzie Parks are damn near the best things Lubbock has to offer and they are awesome!

Playground: My kids love the rides and sidewalks for they love to roller skating! Toilets: Fixing them! Dog-friendliness: People take their dogs with lol leashes and they run around! Picnic area: Plenty of space and they have shades and tables to sit and eat! They can grill food and sit and eat! And eat, clean up and then we go! Very kid friendly!

It is a nice park near wooded area. Everyone is highly visible. Be careful on the swings. Hanging from rusted bolts. Typical Lubbock unmaintained equipment.

This place is underwhelming in terms if park design, but super interesting in terms of cultural bonding. The neighborhood is mostly of hispanic origins, and have a rich culture. The fresco done in the park shade shows the integration of two cultures in a very strong way.

Despite its name, its a great little park with a great playground in a multiethnic area. Bathrooms are very basic and prisonish. Water fountain by the bathroom works, the other ones do not at this time.

Ive fished here for years in the creek running between canyon lakes, typical of most Lubbock water ways lots of tiny bits of trash from run off and illegal dumping. The park itself is well kept, beware of holidays or major outdoor events, traffic and road ways are not up to par with how crazy the turn out can be. This is partially do to the road back and forth through Mackenzie park, expect total jam up people driving through the grass hopping curbs and plain parking dead in the middle of the street.
