Second time here and Callie is simply amazing. Her cutting expertise is seriously top notch Ive never been so happy with a haircut. I have wavy/curly hair (2B) and requested face framing pieces without it being bangs because I didnt want to style them with heat tools. Im low maintenance and usually only style with leave-in/mousse. They turned out AMAZING both times. Ive never gotten anything like it. Im usually always disappointed and waiting for it to grow out. Ive since wore my hair up with the front pieces left out and it looks so cute Im so happy with it. Very low effort. For the rest she did layers which taper nicely in the back and balance the volume around my head so well (medium-long hair curly cuts can often leave you looking flat on top). Book here!! The interior is lux and playful and like a dreamscape, uplifting and welcoming. Not planning on shopping around - this is the spot.

I had an appointment with Amber and I cannot express how happy I am with my cut. She was so sweet and so much fun! I went in for more of a wolf cut but she gave a suggestion that a shag would look so good on my hair and texture. We went for it and I m so thankful I did. My hair looks amazing! I have never been able to wear my hair naturally bc it s so heavy and now my curls look so good! Also, the salon is super cute and I love that they connect with local artists.

I found Pat and Rock, Paper, Shears a little over 7 years ago while working as a barber in San Francisco. I have since relocated to New York City and in that time he has remained consistently so pleasant and communicative and always has my shears delivered in a timely manner and in great working order. He s a model for a small business thats worth supporting. Highly recommended :)

An absolutely incredible and amazing experience coming here for the first time. First off, the salon studio is so wonderfully decorated. The artworks and furniture displayed are so cool! Immaculate vibes and greatly appreciate the love given to the works of local artists. Amber Black is by far the BEST stylist I ve ever had. She was so attentive to the cut I was looking for while caring about the health of my hair she is incredibly knowledgeable, very talented, so passionate, and such a fun person to talk to. She really truly listens to you and works wonders. My long search of a salon and stylist has happily come to an end. 10000000/10 would recommend coming here.

A review of my experience with the hairstylist, Amber Rock Paper Sheers has a special gem amongst the unique treasures, antiques and astonishing artwork. Her name is Amber and you d be lucky to know her. What I like the most about my experience with Amber is how she holds her craft to a high standard. She truly made me feel safe, heard, understood and appreciated and catered her attention 100% to my transformation. I came to Amber, low, and insecure because of a terrible haircut and color from another stylist. She showed me a true act of love by committing her time and supplies to get my hair looking amazing. (Not to mention she got me in the day before Valentine s Day!!!! ) I felt heard and respected through each step of the process. There was open communication and of course plenty of laughs and deep convos. I highly recommend this studio!

This was my first time here, and Amber was wonderful! I wasnt exactly sure what I was wanting, so I showed her some inspo pictures and she made some suggestions and made sure we were on the same page! She is clearly very knowledgeable about hair and also had my natural texture in mind, which is wavy. Im very happy with how it turned out, both with the blowout and with my natural texture.

You guys I read reviews for weeks before coming across this awesome shop!! This place is absolutely amazing!! Now on to Sam!! Sam did a wonderful job at my hair. i got a wolf cut and she did a great job at it. she is very funny also! also the salon hair wash room was like entering another dimension that was very relaxing. we talked about hair extensions briefly for a future appointment and she talked to me about the difference in them and educated me. i will definitely be coming back!!

I have been going here since the opening, but Calli has been my stylist for years! This salon is absolutely beautiful! The minute you walk in, you can see the passion Calli has for her business! Ever inch of the place has personality and creates a warm, inviting environment! I am a difficult blonde, but have been so happy every time I walk out that door! I originally came to Calli after hair trauma, and she was able to help regain a healthy head of hair!! Calli and her girls are very knowledgeable about styles and color! She also provide many types of services. Just ask, and they will go out of their way to help with whatever you need! I highly recommend Rock, Paper, Shears for your beauty needs!! He is the best there is, and I would never consider going to anyone else. He is absolutely excellent with cut and color and I trust him completely with all of my haircare needs. I live all the way in Fort Worth but he is definitely worth the trip! I had a phenomenal experience here. Callie is amazing; Im pretty sure she read my mind to create exactly the color and style I was looking for today. And the spot is like a hair salon meets an art gallery meets Meow Wolf! Its the wildest collection of pieces, textures, and colors, all curated by Callie and combined to make a space where I could hang out for hours. Even if you dont need a haircut, drop by just to see whats on display. Everyone is always welcome to stop by, not to mention its part of the First Friday Art Trail! I found Callie a year ago ... no one else in town could cut and style my curly hair. Callie did amazing!!!! I trust her with my hair, sent a friend to her for color help, and I just took my daughter to her. I asked her if she would help me surprise my daughter for her 13th birthday and she was excited to be apart of it!!! Callie made time to meet up with us to buy my daughter s first set of make up, then we went back to the shop for highlights, hair cuts, and make up lessons!!!
