Absolutely the WORST lawyer in Lubbock tx! I called her and tried to explain my situation but she s was VERY VERY rude! I could not finish a sentence without her rudely interrupting me. She s told me the other party obviously has more money than you . She was so quick to get off the phone with me after she said that. I never felt the way I did after a phone call WITH A LAWYER. I immediately busted out into tears because how awful she was to me. I found a really great lawyer that is very professional unlike this lady! I highly would not recommend this lawyer unless you like getting over talked on and disrespected! If I could rate her with zero stars I WOULD!

She is too busy for your issues. Every time I talked to her it took her 10 minutes to reminder who I was. She talks in circles when she says that she does not have time to listen to what you have to say. I turned in all the paperwork she asked for and the day it was due is when she wanted to talk to me about it and tell me that it wasnt laid out right. Sorry Im not a lawyer that what I paid for. Save time and money go with someone else.

I hired Tempie Hutton after finding out through others that she will get the job done for a child custody hearing. When we had our first consultation, I couldn t help but to notice a picture of her and a young child in a courtroom. The child looked happy. That is when I knew I was in the right place for my granddaughter. Ms. Tempie is tough. She is determined to get the job done. BUT, in order for her to get it done, we have to cooperate with everything she is asking us to do. Is that hard to do? Of course not! She constantly reminded me why I hired her. Called for a free consultation and Tempie answered. I was trying to explain my situation and let her know I was clueless and was needing help. She stopped me mid sentence , herd her talking to someone to take the call because she couldnt understand me or hear me, and just handed the phone to someone else. Thought that was rude of her. First impressions do matter! She could have have said she couldnt hear or understand me and that someone else was going to be taking the call for her but rudely just started talking to someone else.

Tempies team seems pretty good from what I can tell. Now being completely honest Ms Tempie is very hot headed and will speak over you and shut you up. She does this Im very sure because you are paying for results and she is great at getting them. Why are you wasting her time? She is fully there to help you and you do need to listen to her and do everything she is suggesting to you because she can get the best results that way. I personally do not like being talked down at or made fun of as she did during my trial on our break but the point was to shut up and do as your told so she can work to the best or her abilities which you paid for her services. I did fully listen to everything she said and asked during my trail over my daughter and I fully believe she did justice and a stupendous job when present in front of the judge. The receptionist was very rude. I was calling to get a simple consultation quote and she rudely stopped me mid-sentence and spoke to me like I was beneath her. She eluded that I couldn t afford their services - a waste of her time! It felt very dismissive and degrading. After reading the reviews I was sure I needed Tempie as my lawyer. I was not let down. Well I must admit I was quite impressed with the ratings I saw and thought I would give a consultation a go. Originally, our conversation started out well. However, I will say that this attorney needs to work a bit more on her empathy. Most people needing a lawyer have a hard time expressing their needs and I frankly felt as if I was being cross examined. Not to forget her constant statement that we have no case without evidence. Despite me telling her over and over that I had physical evidence. What really made me draw the line was the fact that she got so excited when I mentioned my family concern was primarily located in Anton, TX. In which she has close personal ties and SPECIFICALLY stated that she knew the judge personally and that she needs more. All in all, I hung up because I felt that an attorney with close ties to that town, was not for me. Not to forget all the moments she shut me down as I was speaking.

Used Ms. Hutton based on reviews, so i felt the need to post. She did not listen to our wishes. Made my grandmother cry and never apologized or attempted to put her at ease (she was the client). During FREE consultation, started drawing up paper work that ended up costing us. Said paper work (to do what we wanted) was not correct according to court. She kept stating that We were not listening to her and that we NEEDED her.... The only thing that seemed important to Tempie Hutton was Tempie Hutton making her point and us retaining her as our LAWYER to the tune of $5,000 but she offered herself 2 acres of my grandmothers land as payment. Im pretty sure thats against the law. Upon our second visit to attain the paperwork that was needed to finish our business at the court house (Which was incorrect and incomplete according to Lubbock County Courthouse) she began to belittle my family yet AGAIN..... and attempted to block me in her office by getting up and standing in front of the door because she wanted to make her point YET AGAIN..... That we needed her and that we didnt know what we were doing..... I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND HER TO ANYONE THAT I KNOW FOR ANY REASON. She was completely UNPROFESSIONAL and a grievance with the Texas State Bar Association will be filled against her.

We were drawn to Tempies honesty and passion for what is best for a child. Tempie spent 3 hours attempting to reason, signing over rights with someone who was not mentally stable, unpredictable, and dangerous. She told me that the only thing that kept her focused was thinking of mine and and my daughters eyes. What compassion and True heart..... protecting others. I am still in awe as to how easy you made all of this look, when I know how far from the truth that is. We both know we had no control over this one though. Long story-short.... The Stepfather who has been raising my daughter since she was 3 and is now 9 was able to adopt his little girl and give her a since of belonging and stability. I have never heard nor experienced what took place from Tuesday to Friday in one week, (Adoption) What a tenacious, strong, and no BS woman. All in all Im happy with the results!!! My son got custody of his daughter and that was all that mattered! Tempi is brutely honesty n a little hard at times! But if you want a lawyer thats tough n is going to get the job dont, she the one to handle it!!! Just be quite n listen n dont talk back n things will go by faster!! Thank you Tempi! Our granddaughter is doing great!!!

worse experienced I ever had with a lawyer, I only spent 2 hours with her total after telling her that I decided not to get divorced and that I was going to pay her for my services and for her to return back my money that i over paid , she is very greedy . The reason that I fired her is because after reading the divorced documents she was adding some things I didnt asked her to do. All what i wanted was a fair divorced not a criminal case and make up stories to win a case.I dont recommended her at all.
