When I first went to Mathew Harris I went in with a panic because I did not know if where I was working at the time was the best place for me and I tell you what he fights for people that want to do good in life and really try to better there self and unfortunately we dont live in a world that has many people willing to fight on your side and when I tell you he will fight for you i mean it. Matthew Harris was just my court appointed lawyer while I was locked up and he did everything in his power to see that my son didnt get lost in the cps system and gave me the right advice to take to where I could continue seeing my son when I got out. WE hired Amanda Carter and I have to say she goes above and beyond as a lawyer and keeps you in the loop. She did an awesome job for us for a child custody case that spanned two states. She was very informative and was always available. She helped get our second lawyer in the second state up and running and kept in contact with her and kept us up to date with what was happening in the second state. She is caring and amazing. For over two years I have had the worst luck possible with attorneys and the courts while fighting for custody of my son. I have hired three previous attorneys and have repeatedly came across attorneys who wouldnt return phone calls/emails, werent ever available to talk, didnt show evidence in court or wouldnt fight my case in court, or would flat out ask for outrageous amounts of money with nothing in return. That was before I decided to hire Matthew Harris. Matthew Harris has been an amazing attorney since day one! He has shown a great deal of effort in my child custody battle and I know he will continue to do so. He has put in numerous hours of overtime and has even used some of his personal time during his weekends. He has shown a great amount of knowledge in law and has effectively explained law in a manner where anyone could understand it. He has informed me of what the possible outcomes are while going through the legal process. I regret not hiring Matthew Harris sooner. When I called him with my initial issue, he was able to make an appointment with me immediately and he was able to begin working on my case shortly after. I would highly recommend hiring Matthew Harris law firm to anyone. Great staff who try to answer your questions the best and as soon as they can to make your stress and worries of any situation a lot easier on you and your family. Matthew was great handling our step parent adoption case. He was very aggressive towards the other party and even though the other party lived 1300 miles away he wouldnt give up until some sort of contact was reached. We had lots of unexpected bumps in the road during our case but Matthew handled them with true professionalism and very hard work. His law firm was awesome to my family and I and a true blessing. I had chickens in my backyard and the city has come by to let me know that I am not allowed to have chickens. I called Mathew Harris up he was very prompt to help. I was fined 7 different fines at 134.00 per fine for having chickens in my backyard. I let Mathew know that I should have the right to have them. The city of Lubbock has a zoning laws that does not allow anyone to have any chickens in the city limits. They have stated that chickens was a nuisance. I had a petition signed by all who live in my neighborhood as Mathew instructed me. However with current zoning laws in place I had to give them up. Mathew was quick to help and has always informed me of what was going on. He had every fine dismissed and wants to continue the fight for peoples rights to have chickens in there backyard. I was so happy that Mathew has taken my case and he was very excited to take the case. He always showed me the kindness and courtesy I expected. I have had a few attorneys fight different cases for me but none have shown or have gone the distance that Mathew has gone through for me. I will very highly ask that you think twice before hiring anyone ells. From this day forward I will surly go to Mathew there is just no question in my mind. Matthew Harris is that lawyer!! He truly takes the time to understand your need, works to ensure you understand all possible outcomes, and doesnt consider his work done until you are satisfied.
